Opis:
In this paper the results of Matching Pursuit (MP) Octave algorithm applied to noise, vibration and harness (NVH) diagnosis of rolling bearings are presented. For this purpose two bearings in different condition state were examined. The object of the analysis was to calculate and present which energy error values of MP algorithm give the most accuracy results for different changes in bearing structures and also how energy values spread in time-frequency domain for chosen energy error value.

Opis:
The objective of the paper is to analyse traceability issues in real-life gas flow measurements in complex distribution systems. The initial aim is to provide complete and traceable measurement results and calibration certificates of gas-flow meters, which correspond to specific installation conditions. Extensive work has been done to enable a more credible decision on how to deal in particular situations with the measurement uncertainty which is always subject of a flow meter’s calibration as a quantitative parameter value obtained in laboratory, and with the qualitative statement about the error of an outdoor meter. The laboratory simulation of a complex, real-life distributed system has been designed to achieve the initial aim. As an extension of standardized procedures that refer to the laboratory conditions, the proposed methods introduce additional “installation-specific” error sources. These sources could be either corrected (if identified) or considered as an additional “installation-specific” uncertainty contribution otherwise. The analysis and the results of the experimental work will contribute to more precise and accurate measurement results, thus assuring proper measurements with a known/estimated uncertainty for a specific gas flow installation. Also, the analysis will improve the existing normative documents by here presented findings, as well as fair trade in one of the most important and growing energy consumption areas regarding the legal metrology aspects. These facts will enable comparing the entire quantity of gas at the input of a complex distributed system with the cumulative sum of all individual gas meters in a specific installation.

Opis:
To solve the dynamic response problems of magnetic coupling in the horizontal axis wave energy device, this has researched the dynamic characteristicsof magnetic coupling. The fitting formula about torque and angle of the magnetic coupling is obtained through experiments. The mathematical models of the magnetic coupling torque transmission are established. The steady state error of the magnetic coupling and the transfer function of the output angle are obtained. The analytical solution of the step response of the output angle in time domain is derived. The influence of the torsional rigidity, the damping coefficient and the driven rotor’s rotational inertia on dynamic characteristics of the magnetic coupling isanalyzed. According to the analysis results, the design rules of magnetic coupling are proposed.

Opis:
This paper presents an approach to rationalize the energy consumption of road transport towards sustainability in a steady-state economy. The research hypothesis is that the rationalization of the energy consumption of road transport is affected by drift and shocks, which desynchronizes the adjustment mechanism from equilibrium. The objective of this research was to incorporate the model of energy consumption of road freight transport with the goals of sustainability by considering ecological and constructivist rational orders, the issue of order drift, and the occurrence of shocks. The research investigated Poland from the first quarter of 2004 to the fourth quarter of 2018. A model for rationalizing the energy consumption of road transport was constructed using the vector error correction model and cointegration techniques. The model revealed one cointegrating relationship and showed statistically significant unlimited drift. The level of changes to long-term equilibrium appeared respectively for GDP – 1.8%, PPI for energy – 7.3%, and for energy consumption – 10.9%. We observed a weak sustainability between the energy consumption of road transport and GDP and a strong sustainability between energy consumption of road transport and PPI energy. It was determined that price shocks had a positive impact (at the estimated point level around 0.06) and supply and demand shocks had a negative impact (at the level estimated point around –3).

Opis:
The single-phase voltage loss is a common fault. Once the voltage-loss failure occurs, the amount of electrical energy will not be measured, but it is to be calculated so as to protect the interest of the power supplier. Two automatic calculation methods, the power substitution and the voltage substitution, are introduced in this paper. Considering the lack of quantitative analysis of the calculation error of the voltage substitution method, the grid traversal method and MATLAB tool are applied to solve the problem. The theoretical analysis indicates that the calculation error is closely related to the voltage unbalance factor and the power factor, and the maximum calculation error is about 6% when the power system operates normally. To verify the theoretical analysis, two three-phase electrical energy metering devices have been developed, and verification tests have been carried out in both the lab and field conditions. The lab testing results are consistent with the theoretical ones, and the field testing results show that the calculation errors are generally below 0.2%, that is correct in most cases.

Opis:
Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) deficiency manifests with severe metabolic abnormalities, yet the underlying mechanisms remain incompletely understood. We investigated metabolic adaptations in HO-1-deficient cells using patient-derived lymphoblastoid cells (LCL) and HEK293T knockout cells. Both cell types exhibited concordant metabolic signatures, characterized by a substantial reduction in intracellular ascorbic acid levels, despite compensatory upregulation of sodium-dependent vitamin C transporter 2 (SVCT2) and downregulation of GLUT1, compared to wild-type cells. Ultrastructural examination revealed abnormal mitochondrial morphology in both models. Both cell types showed higher baseline hydrogen peroxide levels compared to wild-type cells. Treatment with 2-phospho-L-ascorbic acid (AA2P) restored cell viability in both models upon hemin-induced stress, with protection requiring functional SVCT2-mediated uptake. AA2P supplementation attenuated the elevated $H_{2}O_{2}$ levels without altering glutathione redox homeostasis as measured by GSH/GSSG ratios. These findings illuminate ascorbic acid metabolism as a critical node in HO-1 deficiency pathophysiology and suggest ascorbic acid supplementation as a potential therapeutic strategy for this rare disorder.

Opis:
The currents measured in industrial applications reach very high values and at the same time their courses are more and more distorted. In the case of the measurement of alternating current of very high intensity it is necessary to use a current transformer. Such a current transformer should only change the scale of the course but retain its shape. Unfortunately, current transformers distort the shape of the course. These distortions depend mainly on the harmonic content in the primary current and the distortions caused by the ferromagnetic core. The purpose of the article is to define the methodology to minimize the distortion of the secondary current caused by the current transformer, while leaving the distortion of the original course. Minimizing distortions does not consist in the idealization of core parameters but on the development of the algorithm for processing samples using the CT ratio parameters. In this method CT ratio parameters are determined on the basis of the data specified on the nameplate as well as on the basis of measurements. These measurements are carried out without intervention in its interior. The method presented enables more accurate reproduction of the shape of current being measured and can be applied in the industry. The method can be used both for transformers at the design stage and those already in operation.
