Opis:: Through some examples, the paper illustrates the lexicographic approach implemented in the Polonium PRAGMALEX project, which aims to provide a pragma-semantic description of conversational formulas in French with their equivalent in Polish and Italian, highlighting their pragmaticvalues. Opis:: L’article propose une description des valeurs illocutoires que la formule je t’aime peut prendre dans un cadre interactionnel spécifique. L’étude du corpus nous a permis de repérer deux types d’emploi de la formule évoquée ci-dessus : un emploi prototypique ou non prototypique. Il s’est avéré que, dans le premier cas, je t’aime sert à réaliser des actes directs, en l’occurrence un acte expressif ou un acte assertif. Dans le deuxième cas, il s’agit d’actes indirects dont l’interprétation se fait à partir des connaissances linguistiques et extralinguistique, ainsi que des capacités d’inférence de l’allocutaire. L’analyse effectuée met également en évidence la nature sociale de l’interaction et l’importance du cadre interactionnel pour l’interprétation des types d’actes de langage dans lesquels la formule je t’aime apparaît.
The article is a study that proposes a semantic-pragmatic description of the I love you formula. It first presents the formula’s general properties, including its degree of fixation, syntactic autonomy, meaning, and polyfunctional character. Then, particular attention is paid to the different values it can have as a direct or indirect act in a specific interactional framework. The study of the corpus of this work allowed us to identify two types of use of the above-mentioned formula: prototypical and non-prototypical use. In the first case, I love you is used to perform either an expressive or an assertive act. In the second case, it is an indirect act whose interpretation is inferred from the cotext. The analysis also highlights the social nature of interactions and the significance of the interactional context for interpreting the types of language acts in which the I love you formula occurs.

Opis:: The analysis of the expressive stability of lexeme ‘gówniak’ in Polish The aim of this article is to analyse the expressive stability of the Polish lexeme ‘gówniak’. Although the said lexeme is a relatively new linguistic phenomenon – as it appeared for the first time in the Polish web in 2014 – it is becoming more and more popular among a specific type of internet users and its meaning has started to expand. The expressive stability of the lexeme was analysed on the basis of the basic human emotions by Anna Wierzbicka, value theory by Jadwiga Puzynina, Likert scale, and stylistic marking. Since the lexeme doesn’t appear in any paper dictionaries, the following websites served as sources for the analysis: language corpus monco.frazeo.pl, Polish Wordnet, Internet dictionary of slang miejski.pl, and above all numerous entries on blogs and forums, memes and entertainment websites such as wykop.pl and joemonster.org. The analysis allowed to establish four main meanings of the lexeme ‘gówniak’: (1) a definition of (someone else’s) child popular among users of entertainment websites, (2) an annoying, naughty child, (3) a child of ‘Seba’ and ‘Karyna’, (4) a humorous definition of (your own) child. Moreover, the analysis of the sources shows that the emotional marking of the lexeme is constantly changing: from purely negative (resulting from its morphological structure) to more neutral or even positive one.

Opis:: This article discusses the specificity of occasional onomasticon in the cycle of novels by Dmitriy Emets (b. 1974) featuring Tanya Grotter, which is an outstanding example of fantasy literature, playing an important role in the modern cultural space, and targeted mainly at children and teenagers. It has been established that while creating the onomastic space of the cycle the author draws parallels with J. Rowling’s novels about Harry Potter and forms onyms – occasionalisms based on the precedent names (folk, mythological, religious, literary, and historical), foreign language vocabulary, phraseology, etc. The desire to comprehend the author’s intention and to understand the characteristics presented in onyms not only motivates readers to expand their horizon, but also engages them in cross-cultural communication.
