In this paper, a strong stability result is given for a model of an overhead crane which consists of a motorized platform moving along an horizontal beam with a flexible cable, holding a load mass M. A non uniform stability result is also shown.

Opis:
A construction of multiobserver is extended to arbitrary analytic control systems without any observability property. The dynamics of the multiobserver gives an estimation of the successive derivatives of the output and the output of the multiobserver is a set that approximates the whole class of states that are indistinguishable from the current state of the original system by the control applied to the system. The dynamics of the multiobserver is used to stabilize the system with the aid of output feedback. It is done under the assumption that the system is state-feed back stabilizable and the functions used in this feedback depend smoothly on the output function and its Lie derivatives.

This note is devoted to the problem of global stabilization of continuous systems by adding an integrator. The goal is to prove that if a continuous non-linear system dot x =f(x,u) is globally asymptotically stable at the origin for u equiv 0, then the augmented system obtained by adding an integrator is stabilizable by means of a continuous feedback.

Opis:
This paper presents an algorithm for designing dynamic compensator for infinitedimensional systems with bounded input and bounded output operators using finite dimensional approximation. The proposed method was then implemented in order to find the control function for thin rod heating process. The optimal sampling time was found depending on discrete output measurements.

In this paper the stabilization problem of undamped second order system is considered. The stabilization by first order dynamic feedback is studied. The global asymptotic stability of the respectively closed-loop system is proved by LaSalle's theorem. As an example of application of the proposed method an electric ladder network L and Ic type is presented. Numerical calculations were made using the Matlab/Simulink program.

Opis:
The paper mitigates the existing conditions reported in the previous literature for control design of discrete-time linear positive systems. Incorporating an associated structure of linear matrix inequalities, combined with the Lyapunov inequality guaranteing asymptotic stability of discrete-time positive system structures, new conditions are presented with which the state-feedback controllers and the system state observers can be designed. Associated solutions of the proposed design conditions are illustrated by numerical illustrative examples.

Opis:
This paper focuses on the global practical Mittag-Leffler feedback stabilization problem for a class of uncertain fractional-order systems. This class of systems is a larger class of nonlinearities than the Lipschitz ones. Based on the quasi-one-sided Lipschitz condition, firstly, we provide sufficient conditions for the practical observer design. Then, we exhibit that practical Mittag-Leffler stability of the closed loop system with a linear, state feedback is attained. Finally, a separation principle is established and we prove that the closed loop system is practical Mittag-Leffler stable.

Opis:
In the paper, different structures of electric ladder networks are considered: RC, RL, and RLC. Such systems are composed of resistors, inductors and capacitors connected in series. The elements of the network are not identical and have nonlinear characteristics. The network's dynamic behavior can be mathematically described by nonlinear differential equations. A class of robust feedback controls is designed to stabilize the system. The asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system is analyzed and proved by the use of Lyapunov functionals and LaSalle's invariance principle. The results of computer simulations are included to verify theoretical analysis and mathematical formulation.

The problem of stabilization of fractional positive linear continuous-time linear systems with delays by state-feedbacks is addressed. The gain matrix of the state feedback is chosen so that the zeros of the closed-loop polynomial are located in a sector of the left half of complex plane. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the problem are established and a procedure for computation of a gain matrix of the feedback is proposed. The considerations are illustrated by a numerical example.

The problem of finding a gain matrix of the state-feedback of 2D linear system such that the closed-loop system is positive and asymptotically stable is formulated and solved. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the solvability of the problem are established. It is shown that the problem can be reduced to suitable linear programming problem. The proposed approach can be extended to 2D linear system described by the 2D Roesser model.
