Opis:
The concept of $\sigma $-filters is introduced in commutative $BE$-algebras and some properties of these classes of filters are studied. Some equivalent conditions are derived for every filter of a commutative $BE$-algebra to become a $\sigma $-filter. Some necessary and sufficient conditions are given for every regular filter of a commutative $BE$-algebra to become a $\sigma $-filter. A set of equivalent conditions is given for the class of all $\sigma $-filters of a commutative $BE$-algebra to become a sublattice to the lattice of all filters.

Coherent filters, strongly coherent filters, and $\tau $-closed filters are introduced in pseudo-complemented distributive lattices and their characterization theorems are derived. A set of equivalent conditions is derived for every filter of a pseudo-complemented distributive lattice to become a coherent filter. The notion of median filters is introduced and some equivalent conditions are derived for every maximal filter of a pseudo-complemented distributive lattice to become a median filter which leads to a characterization of Stone lattices.

Opis:
The article presents the algorithm that enables adaptive determination of the amplification coefficient in the filter equation provided by Kalman. The method makes use of an estimation error, which was defined for this purpose, and its derivative to determine the direction of correction changes of the gain vector. This eliminates the necessity to solve Riccati equation, which causes reduction of the method computational complexity. The experimental studies carried out using the proposed approach relate to the estimation of state coordinates describing river pollution using the BOD (biochemical oxygen demand) and DO (dissolved oxygen) indicators). The acquired results indicate that the suggested method does better estimations than the Kalman filter. Two indicators were used to measure the quality of estimates: the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and the Mean Percentage Error (MPE).

Opis:
The Alpha-Beta-Gamma tracking filter is useful for tracking a constant acceleration target with zero lag error in the steady state. It, however, depicts a constant lag error for a maneuvering target. Various algorithms of the Alpha-Beta-Gamma tracking filter exist in literature and each one of them presents its own unique challenges and advantages depending on the design requirement. This study investigates the operation of three Alpha-Beta-Gamma tracking filter design methods which include Benedict-Bordner also known as the Simpson filter, Gray-Murray filter and the fading memory constant acceleration filter. These filters are then compared based on the ability to reduce noise and follow a maneuvering target with minimum lag error, against the jerky model Alpha-Beta-Gamma-Eta. Results obtained from simulations of the input model of the target dynamics under consideration indicate an improvement in performance of the jerky model in comparison with the constant acceleration models.

Review of the filter structures and spectral analysis algorithms was done. Digital filters allow filtering the speed signal in control loop of direct drive with a mechanical resonance. The analogue filter equations were transformed into digital filters to enable tune them in real time. Spectral analysis with additional algorithm allows to determine the mechanical resonance frequency of multi-mass system. Determination of resonance frequencies allow for proper tune the digital filter. This paper presents selected algorithms of determine signal spectrum. In order to determine the mechanical resonance frequency from the whole spectrum, it is require to use an additional algorithm that was omitted from the consideration. Filters were tuned according to frequency characteristics of the object.

Opis:
Although dust-holding capacity is the primary feature of engine air filters operating in dusty environments, efficiency becomes a major factor when selecting an engine air filter. Inertial separators and high porosity or fibrous prefilters are commonly used to decrease the dust load to the main filter while high efficiency is achieved by utilizing submicron or nanofiber fibers in the main filter. The patented multi-stage filter was designed to achieve ultra-high particle removal efficiency and dust holding capacity, and long life in dusty and on highway environments. The main (final) filter is located downstream of the prefilter. The main filter is made ofpleatedfilter media containing nanofibers with a diameter in the range of40 - 800 nanometers. The upstream in-line precleaner utilizing flow-through mini cyclones has separation efficiency of 95%. A high dust capacity, high efficiency prefilter can be used instead of the precleaner. The prefilter is made of vertically lapped nonwoven filter media made from synthetic fibers of different materials to fully utilize the tribological effect. The volume of the prefilter is determined by the performance required and space allotted. This paper discusses the filter performance of high dust holding capacity engine air filters. Filter specifications, design and performance are discussed in detail. Performance characteristics of the media and full size filters were determined using on-line particle counters and the gravimetric test method. Initial and final efficiency, and dust loading performance characteristics, are provided.

Opis:
The concept of $\sigma $-filters is introduced in distributive lattices and studied some properties of these classes of filters. Two sets of equivalent conditions are derived one for every $\mu $-filter to become a $\sigma $-filter and the other for every filter to become a $\sigma $-filter of a distributive lattice. A one-to-one correspondence is established between the set of all prime $\sigma $-filters of a distributive lattice and the set of all prime $\sigma $-filters of its quotient lattice with respect to a congruence.

Opis:
Several types of nonlinear filters (EKF — extended Kalman filter, UKF — unscented Kalman filter, PF — particle filter) are widely used for location estimation and their algorithms are described in this paper. In the article filtering accuracy for non-linear form of measurement equation is presented. The results of complex simulations that com-pare the quality of estimation of analyzed non-linear filters for complex non-linearities of state vector are presented. The moves of maneuvering object are described in two-dimensional Cartesian coordinates and the measurements are described in the polar coordinate system. The object dynamics is characterized by acceleration described by the univariate non-stationary growth model (UNGM) function. The filtering accuracy was evaluated not only by the root-mean-square errors (RMSE) but also by statistical testing of innovations through the expected value test, the whiteness test and the WSSR (weighted sum squared residual) test as well. The comparison of filtering quality was done in the MATLAB environment. The presented results provide a basis for designing more accurate algorithms for object location estimation.
W artykule opisane zostały algorytmy filtrów nieliniowych (rozszerzony EKF i bezśladowy UKF filtr Kalmana oraz filtr cząstkowy PF) stosowane powszechnie do estymacji położenia. Porównano dokładność estymacji tych filtrów dla nieliniowego równania pomiarowego. Zaprezentowane zostały rezultaty badań symulacyjnych porównujących jakość estymacji analizowanych rodzajów filtrów nieliniowych dla złożonej nieliniowości wektora stanu. Ruch obiektu manewrującego opisano w dwuwymiarowym układzie kartezjańskim, natomiast pomiary w polarnym układzie współrzędnych. Dynamikę obiektu charakteryzuje przyspieszenie opisane funkcją Univariate-Non-Stationary-Growth-Model. Efektywność badań, poza określaniem błędów średniokwadratowych RMSE, oceniano poprzez statystyczne testowanie innowacji za pomocą: testu wartości oczekiwanej, testu białości oraz testu WSSR (Weighted-Sum-Squared-Residual). Ocena jakości procesu filtracji została przeprowadzona w środowisku MATLAB. Przedstawione wyniki stanowią podstawę do projektowania dokładniejszych algorytmów estymacji położenia obiektu.

Opis:
Universal filtered multi-carrier (UFMC) modulation is a very powerful candidate to be employed for future 5G mobile systems. It overcomes the limitations and restrictions in current modulation techniques employed in 4G mobile systems and supports future applications, such as machineto-machine (M2M), device-to-device (D2D), and vehicle-tovehicle (V2V) communications. In this paper, we address the estimation of UFMC fading channels based on the comb-type pilot arrangement in the frequency domain. The basic solution is to estimate the fading channel based on the mean square error (MSE) or least square (LS) criteria with adaptive implementation using least mean square (LMS) or recursive least square (RLS) algorithms. However, these adaptive filters seem not to be effective, as they cannot fully exploit fading channel statistics, particularly at high Doppler rates. To take advantage of these statistics, time-variations of the fading channel are modeled by an autoregressive process (AR), and are tracked by an H∞ filter. This, however, requires that AR model parameters be known, which are estimated by solving the Yule-Walker equation (YWE), based on the Bessel autocorrelation function (ACF) of the fading channel with a known Doppler rate. Results of Matlab simulations show that the proposed H∞ filter-based channel estimator is more effective when compared with existing estimators.

Opis:
In an Almost Distributive Lattice(ADL), coaxial filters and strongly coaxial filters are presented, and various characterization theorems of dually normal ADLs are given in terms of dual annihilators. Several characteristics of ADL coaxial filters are investigated. The concept of normal prime filters is presented, and its features are examined. For the class of all strongly coaxial filters to become a sublattice of the filter lattice, some equivalent conditions are derived.
