Opis:: The aim of this paper is to present various empirical studies on word-formation, not within linguistic approach but in relation to learning and teaching of a foreign language. The paper largely concentrates on studies carried out among learners of German as a second language. The studies presented in this paper are based on teaching materials as well as students’ perspective in word-formation exercises. Based on presented approaches, certain faults in current studies were pointed out as well as new study areas proposed.

Opis:: One of the issues related to formation flights, which requires to be still discussed, is the stability of formation flight in turns, where the aerodynamic conditions can be substantially different for outer vehicles due to varying bank angles. Therefore, this paper proposes a decentralized control algorithm based on a leader as the reference point for followers, i.e. other UAVs and two flocking behaviors responsible for local position control, i.e. cohesion and repulsion. But opposite to other research in this area, the structure of the formation becomes flexible (structure is being reshaped and bent according to actual turn radius of the leader. During turns the structure is bent basing on concentred circles with different radiuses corresponding to relative locations of vehicles in the structure. Simultaneously, UAVs' airspeeds must be modified according to the length of turn radius to achieve the stability of the structure. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by the results of simulated flights of five UAVs.

Opis:: Word-formation models of inhabitant nouns (nomina habitatorum) in contemporary Bulgarian and CzechThe article analyses the word-formation models (WFM) of the nomina habitatorum in Bulgarian and Czech. The term WFM is very similar to, but not conterminous with, the concept of word-formation type (WFT) as defined by Miloš Dokulil. WFT is understood here as superordinate in relation to WFM. WFT is defined by the same set of properties as WFM but differs from the latter according to the character of the formant; while in FM the character is physical (formal, based on sound), in WFT the character of the formant is functional and structural. The formant assigns the derivative to affixation, paradigmatic or composition word-formation pattern. As lexemes naming a person in accordance with a particular place, the nomina habitatorum constitute a subcategory within the word-formation category of nouns of belonging (nomina pertinentia). The word-formation meaning of nomina habitatorum can be represented by the paraphrase “X belongs to Y,” where X is a person and Y – a place in a broad sense. Zakres pojęciowy terminu „model słowotwórczy” jest zbliżony do zakresu pojęcia „typ słowotwórczy” zaproponowanego przez Miloša Dokulila, nie jest jednak z nim tożsamy. Typ słowotwórczy (TS) rozumiany jest tutaj jako pojęcie podrzędne wobec modelu słowotwórczego (MS). TS jest określany przez ten sam zestaw właściwości co MS, różni się jednak od niego charakterystyką formantu. Podczas gdy w MS formant charakteryzuje się wedle cech fizycznych (formalnych, opartych na brzmieniu), w TS charakterystyka formantu oparta jest na kryteriach funkcjonalnych i strukturalnych. Na podstawie formantu derywat zaliczony zostaje do określonego wzorca słowotwórczego: afiksalnego, paradygmatycznego lub kompozycyjnego. Jako leksemy nadające danej osobie określenie związane z konkretnym miejscem nomina habitatorum stanowią podkategorię słowotwórczej kategorii nazw przynależności (nomina pertinentia). Znaczenie słowotwórcze rzeczowników z grupy nomina habitatorum można wyrazić parafrazą „X należy do Y”, gdzie X to osoba, a Y – szeroko pojęte miejsce.

Opis:: The article is a study devoted to the implementation of the formation prin-ciples at the Theological Seminary in Ełk in the years 2012-2022. The first part presents the personal structure of the Seminar. Based on the cited data, it turned out that the most variable element of the seminar structure is the decreasing number of alumni. The team of formators and the group of lecturers, which also underwent modifications, constituted a relatively stable construct. The second part deals with the means and ways of implementing the formation principles in force at the Higher Theological Seminary in Ełk. These principles were included in the formation document for the seminaries of the Church in Poland (1999). Each of the four dimensions of formation (human, spiritual, intellectual, pastoral) was governed by its own rules. Based on the study, it should be said that to a greater or lesser extent all of them were taken into account in the process of shaping vocations in the Ełk Seminary. The basic ways and means of their implementation are included in the Regulations and the Statute of the seminar. In addition, their shape was determined by the experience from previous years of the Seminarʼs operation, guidelines and proposals of teams responsible for formation associating rectors, spiritual fathers or prefects, the specificity of the events experienced and the conditions of the local Church.

Opis:: The research conducted on language of children with intellectual disability (ID) shows that they exhibit language dysfunctions on every level of language. Up to now, literature did not include linguistic studies concerning issues of wordbuilding in the language consciousness of pre-school children with intellectual disability. The objective of the article is the assessment of the level of wordbuilding competences of a child at pre-school age with minor intellectual disability (MID) concerning the creation and comprehension of nominal derivates in the area of selected wordbuildin categories (case study). In addition, the author wishes to stress that the assessment of the level of wordbuilding competences should be a component on comprehensive logopaedic diagnosis.

Jednym z głównych jej celów jest pogłębianie formacji chrześcijańskiej jej uczestników. Jest ona realizowana we wszystkich wymiarach: ludzkim, duchowym, intelektualnym i apostolskim.
There are many forms of trips, among them, those of a religious character. They are called pilgrimages. Catholic Church, based on a rich biblical tradition has developed that form of godliness. Walking Podlaska Pilgrimage to Jasna Góra is one of modern forms of travelling and every year, a few thousand of believers from Siedlecka Diocese take part in it. One of its main aims is to deepen the role of Christian formation among the participants. It is being fulfilled in every dimension: human, spiritual, intellectual and apostolic.

Opis:: Artykuł poświęcono najważniejszemu pojęciu w słowotwórstwie, pojęciu motywacji, w odniesieniu zwłaszcza do gniazdowych opisów słowotwórczych. W pierwszej części tekstu omówiono trudności występujące w tradycyjnym słowotwórstwie opisowym oraz w gniazdowym słowotwórstwie języka ogólnopolskiego (motywacja wzajemna, wielomotywacyjność, motywacja pośrednia i bezpośrednia, podstawowa i towarzysząca, motywacja równorzędna). W kolejnej, właściwej części rozważań przedstawiono problemy motywacyjne wynikające ze specyfiki materiału gwarowego, sformułowano także metodologiczne propozycje postępowania w tworzeniu trudniejszych w analizie gniazd. W zakończeniu podjęto kwestię zależności modelu słowotwórstwa i intuicji (świadomości, kompetencji) słowotwórczej użytkowników języka.
The paper discusses word formation’s most important notion, i e the motivation, in respect to nest-oriented descriptions The first part presents the difficulties which arise in the traditional, as well as in the nest-oriented description of word formation of general Polish (mutual motivation, multiple mo-tivations, indirect and direct motivation, base and accompanying motivation, equivalent motivation)In the second part, these problems of motivation, resulting from the specificity of dialectal material, are being discussed This part also formulates methodological suggestions about the creation of cer-tain nests which are more difficult to analyse The final part tackles the question of mutual depend-ence between the model of word formation, and the speaker’s word formation intuition (awareness, competence)

Opis:: Measured sections of Jurassic San Rafael Group strata correlated by lithostratigraphy along an ~60 km transect between Bluff and the Abajo Mountains in southeastern Utah indicate that: (1) the Carmel Formation is continuous and disconformable on the Navajo Sandstone (J-2 unconformity); (2) the Entrada Sandstone (Slick Rock Member) is continuous and conformable on the Carmel; (3) the Summerville Formation is continuous and does not intertongue with the Entrada (its base is the J-2 unconformity); (4) the Bluff Sandstone grades northward into the upper Summerville south of the Abajo Mountains; (5) the Recapture Member of the Bluff is physically continuous with at least part of the Tidwell Member of the Summerville; and (5) the base of the Salt Wash Member of the Morrison Fm. is a pervasive unconformity (J-5) with demonstrable local stratigraphic relief of up to 14 m. These observations counter previous claims of extensive Entrada-Summerville intertonguing in southeastern Utah and do not support recognition of depositional sequence boundaries in the Entrada and Summerville lithosomes. Though Entrada deposition may have been by a wet eolian system, its southeastern Utah outcrops are well to the south/ southeast of any marine and paralic facies with which the Entrada intertongues.

Opis:: This article presents the Church’s vision for the pastoral formation of candidates for the priesthood. Specifically, the concept for formation contained in the new The Gift of the Priestly Vocation: Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis (2016) will be presented in light of the teachings of the Second Vatican Council and post-conciliar popes, including St. John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis. Local churches, including those in Poland, can adapt and implement this concept of pastoral formation in major seminaries. This analysis will focus on initial pastoral formation, the nature and aims of pastoral formation, and the study of pastoral theology and pastoral practices in preparation for the priesthood.
W artykule przedstawiona została wizja formacji pastoralnej kandydatów do kapłaństwa nakreślona w nauczaniu Kościoła współczesnego. Na tle nauczania Soboru Watykańskiego II oraz papieży doby posoborowej, przede wszystkim św. Jana Pawła II i wskazań Benedykta XVI i Franciszka, została przedstawiona koncepcja zawarta w nowym Ratio fundamentalis institutionis sacerdotalis. Koncepcja ta zostanie zaadaptowana przez Kościoły lokalne, w tym także Kościół w Polsce i skierowana do realizacji w wyższych seminariach duchownych. W analizach zawartych w artykule uwaga została zwrócona na formację pastoralną jako etap formacji początkowej, naturę i cele formacji pastoralnej oraz na studium teologii pastoralnej i praktyki duszpasterskie w programie przygotowania do kapłaństwa.
