Opis:: The paper deals with the carrying out of prevention of socio-pathological phenomena in the school environment with specific focus on practising the prevention of drug addiction. Inter alia it presents the results of research done in 2004 and in 2007, which was carried out among prevention coordinators at primary and secondary schools It focuses on the current state of the individual forms of prevention It analyses cooperation of schools with experts in the area of prevention (with the police, facilities of educational prevention) as well as cooperation of school with the family.

Opis:: The problem of violence is still a challenge for all environments involved in providing support and assistance for families. Despite many social and governmental programs to counteract the abuse of family members, violence is still present in the everyday life of many women, children, the elderly and the disabled. This study focuses primarily on the old age and the disability related to it, which are important risk factors that expose to violence and degrading treatment. The aim of the research was a preliminary diagnosis of the occurrence of simultaneous experience of many forms of violence by seniors with disabilities. The obtained results indicate that 36% of the seniors with disabilities participating in the study experience multiple victimization and that the level of elders’ education, their place of residence and financial situation show a statistically significant relationship with the experience of multiple victimisation.

The following text explains terminological issues referring to early intervention and support. It points out the purposes of early intervention and support of development. It also discusses the principles of the early support of the disabled child's development and characterizes some of the personal resources that perform an important role in the functioning of disabled people. Furthermore, the article presents the results of researches on how within four years 7 time, i.e. since the entry into force of the regulations on early support, the demand for this particular kind of support of a small child and his or her family has changed.

Opis:: This article comprises a synthetic general review, presentation analysis and assessment of interpretation and efficiency of main legal sources of protection of children’s rights in international, European and Polish home law. As well as other problems of social and individual safety of children and youth, against of all forms of violence and abuse, social orphanage and other pathologies, aimed at building of a general common feelings of their safety in everyday life and activities. Authors present the two complementary spheres of organized institutional protection, prevention and intervention of children’s rights, based on the most important sources of law and asses their implementation and functioning in practice in Poland. The first sphere of the Polish model and system of protection of children’s rights, based on both legal and material guarantees and instruments, are public – state and territorial self-governing administration authorities, dedicated organs, institutions such as Ombudsman of children’s rights, regional and local centers of social care, safety and protection of family life and all forms of intervention in case of all forms of crises, violence and abuse of children and youth. The second complementary spheres of very dynamic manifold activities and social initiatives of various NGO’s and informal groups and individual persons, aiming at effective protection of children’s rights. These nongovernmental activities, both initiate, stimulate and control different forms of real prevention, protection, intervention and defense of children and their rights and counteracting all forms of social orphanage, violence and abuse in social relations with children and adolescents in different domains of our life, as well private and public. Their main aim is increasing of the feeling of safety of children and youth in Poland on the grounds of proper implementation and interpretation of respective legal regulations
