Opis:: The purpose of this research is to review a sample of literature in the area of supply chain integration. Considering the extensive amount of literature on supply chain integration, it appears that it is still in its infancy. This study reviews a sample of 152 articles and in doing so throw light on different aspects of supply chain integration namely: vertical integration, functional integration, integration models .It discusses and criticizes the current state of literature on this context so that future researches find directions to contribute to missing points and remove obstacles. The scope of this review is limited to a cross-section of the literature in this area. As such, it cannot, and does not, attempt to be an examination of the full range of the literature, but a sampling of important and influential works.

Opis:: The major aim of this study was to establish the relationship between functional integration and competitive advantage of food and beverages manufacturing firms in Kenya. The study adopted a cross-sectional survey. The target population was managers working along the supply chain from 270 food and beverage manufacturing firms in Kenya. The two-stage sampling design was employed. The first stage, cluster random sampling, obtained 73 food & beverages manufacturing firms. Second stage, convenience sampling, selected two participants from the 73 selected firms. Thus, a sample size of 146. Questionnaires were used to collect primary data using both the drop and pick and mailing methods. Secondary data was obtained through document analysis. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 28 to generate descriptive and inferential statistics. The study found that functional integration had a positive significant linear relationship with a competitive advantage. Additionally, the competitive advantage is anticipated to grow for every unit increase in functional integration. Thus, the study concludes that the parameters of functional integration are crucial in enhancing a company's competitive advantage in the food and beverage industry. Consequently, the study recommends that improvements in integrating functions internally should be strategically implemented.

Opis:: The team of authors is engaged in the IMO corresponding group on INS / Alert Management and in national task groups primarily specialising in “Navigational Alert Management” matters. This presentation is based on the outcome of serious discussions carried out at different work group sessions in Germany and has been widely used as a guideline when details of an Alert Management concept are analysed (e.g. alert related communication and de-escalation strategies). A separate paragraph of definitions within this presentation describes “Function Alerts” which are not relevant for the navigational tasks carried out by the officer of the watch. Alerts appear to be nonrelevant became the subject under discussion whether their announcement should be automatically filtered out by a navigational module within an INS. This could be one effective method of resolution to minimise (the number of high priority) alerts.

Opis:: Wrocław, jako miasto z rozwiniętą siecią rzeczną, posiada liczne wyspy różniące się między sobą: pochodzeniem, powierzchnią, stopniem i formą zagospodarowania. Jedną z nich jest Kępa Mieszczańska zlokalizowana w zachodniej części miejskiego odcinka Odry. Już od XIII w. lokowano w jej obrębie obiekty wykorzystujące energię wody oraz transport wodny. W drugiej połowie XVIII w. powstały obszerne koszary, będące podstawą rozległych zabudowań wojskowych. Specyficzny sposób zagospodarowania i użytkowania wyspy spowodował dodatkowe ograniczenie jej dostępności. Funkcje przemysłowo-magazynowe i militarne, choć zredukowane po 1945 r., przetrwały do początku lat 90. XX w. Obecnie na Kępie Mieszczańskiej trwa planowy proces przekształcania terenów poprzemysłowych i powojskowych w tereny ogólnodostępne. W artykule przedstawiono problematykę i proces powolnej integracji wyizolowanego formalnie i funkcjonalnie obszaru Kępy Mieszczańskiej z miejską przestrzenią publiczną Wrocławia.
Wroclaw, as a city with a developed waterway network, has numerous islands differing between themselves in the origin, the area, the step and the form of developing. One of them is the Kępa Mieszczańska island located in the western part of city’s section of Odra river. Already from 13th century the objects that used energy of water and water transport were located in its range. In the second half of 18 th century a large barracks, underlying of extensive military buildings had been formed. The specific way of developing and using the island caused additional restriction of its accessibility. Industrial-stock and military functions, although reduced after 1945, held out until the beginning of the nineties. Nowadays on Kępa Mieszczańska lasts a planned process of transforming post-industrial’s and post-military’s areas into a generally accessible space. The article shows an issue and slow process of integration the structural and functional isolated area of Kępa Mieszczańska with the Wroclaw’s urban public space.

Opisany został framework JUnit, który jest używany przy implementacji większości rodzajów testów oraz framework Selenium wykorzystywany przy implementacji testów funkcjonalnych. Pokażę w jaki sposób zainstalować i uruchomić jedno z narzędzi do ciągłej integracji oraz w jaki sposób uruchomić testy korzystając z niego.
Software quality is determined by the compliance of the implementation with customer expectations. To ensure quality, the software testing process is used. In my work I will describe what are unit tests, functional and integration tests, how they are implemented in Java and what is the process of continuous integration. The JUnit framework was described which is used to implement most types of tests as well as the Selenium framework which is used to implement functional tests. I will show how to install and run one of the tools used in continuous integration process and how to run tests using it.

Opis:: The paper describes the project of European initiative EUREKA "Ecological mountain railway as an element of the sustainable development of a tourist region in Poland" joining the spas of Piwniczna with Szczawnica. After presentation of the project scope and the partners, the municipalities which serves and links planned narrow-gauge railway have been characterized. Reflection of an idea for the railway in the existing strategic and planning documents has been identified. Functions of the railway and its situational and altitude alignment of its route are specified. The vehicles of the railway and the rules and examples for creating of schedules are generally characterized. The rules for construction of prognostic passenger flows by rail are described and selected results are quoted. The conclusions from the analysis of the environmental impact of the railway and the result of financial and economic analysis are presented. List of the expected main effects of the project and its potential impact on the development of transport technology is given. An idea of enlargement the territorial scope of the narrow-gauge railway project with proposal for its internationalization is presented. This includes extension of the route from the Szczawnica spa to the Krościenko spa and the branch route from the Obidza pass to the Stara Lubovna town in Slovakia. For this purpose an initiative will be taken to apply a research project of the European Union.

Opis:: Artykuł omawia projekt Europejskiej Inicjatywy EUREKA "Ekologiczna kolejka górska elementem zrównoważonego rozwoju regionu turystycznego w Polsce" dotyczący kolejki wiążącej Piwniczną ze Szczawnicą. Program EUREKA jest formą działania strategicznego, mającego na celu wdrażanie nowych technologii dla podtrzymywania znaczenia i dalszego rozwoju przemysłu turystycznego i wypoczynkowego, jak i dla podnoszenia poziomu życia obywateli Europy. Po przedstawieniu partnerów oraz zakresu projektu scharakteryzowane zostały miejscowości, które ma obsłużyć i powiązać planowana kolejka. Niezwykła atrakcyjność obu miejscowości sprawia, że generują znaczny ruch turystyczny, uzdrowiskowy, letniskowy i narciarski. Zidentyfikowano odzwierciedlenie idei kolejki w obowiązujących dokumentach strategicznych i planistycznych. Wyspecyfikowano różnorodne, bardzo liczne funkcje komunikacyjne i rozwojowe, w tym integracyjne, zamierzonej kolejki. Ogólnie scharakteryzowano sytuacyjno-wysokościowe ukształtowanie jej trasy oraz konstrukcje pojazdu. Opisano zasady i przykłady tworzenia rozkładów jazdy. Przedstawiono autorską propozycję procedury wyznaczania prognostycznych potoków pasażerskich na trasie kolejki oraz przytoczono wybrane wyniki obliczeń. Dokonano syntezy wniosków z analizy oddziaływania kolejki na środowisko, wskazując zarówno na niekorzystne, jak i korzystne aspekty budowy i funkcjonowania tej inwestycji. Wynik analizy finansowej i ekonomicznej przy przyjętych założeniach wskazuje, że przedsięwzięcie może być efektywne, gdyż roczne wpływy będą przekraczać koszty eksploatacyjne, a okres zwrotu poniesionych nakładów inwestycyjnych wyniesie około 25 lat, co dla przedsięwzięć infrastrukturalnych o takim charakterze jest wynikiem zadawalającym. Artykuł kończy zestawienie licznych spodziewanych pozytywnych efektów projektu i jego potencjalny wpływ na rozwój techniki transportowej.

Opis:: Článok je ukážkou prezentácie dvoch metód výpočtu súčtu vybraných nekonečných číselných radov. Historické poznámky sú jednou z foriem motivácie matematickej činnosti. Matematicko-pedagogický proces má motivovať študentov aj touto formou. Slávny Cicero sa preslávil o.i. citátom: “Historia est Magistra Vitae” Príspevok je pohľadom do 14. storočia, konkrétne stredobodom pozornosti je matematik Mikuláš Oresme, ktorý o. i. dokázal počítať súčty nekonečných číselných radov názornou metódou. Tento spôsob výpočtu bol veľmi obmedzený. Druhý spôsob výpočtu tkvie v aplikácii aparátu vyššej matematiky, ktorá sa rodí v 17. storočí. No uvedené súčty sa efektívne počítajú až o dve storočia neskôr, lebo až v 19. storočí matematika prekonáva svoju druhú krízu, do ktorej sa v 18. storočí dostala.
The paper presents two methods of calculating the selected infinite sequences of number series. The historical notes used are one of the forms of the motivation of math-ematical activity, since it is believed that the mathematical-pedagogical process should be motivated also in this way. The famous Cicero is, among other things, also famed by saying “Historia est Magistra Vitae”. The paper looks back to the 14th century by focus-ing on Nicolas Oresme who managed to calculate the sums of infinite sequences, alt-hough his approach was a limited one. The other method of calculation rests in the appli-cation of the apparatus of a higher mathematical level which was originated in the 17th century. However, the given sums were calculated only 2 centuries later, when mathe-matics managed to overcome the crisis which it suffered in the 18th century.

Opis:: Successful experiments involving the production of transgenic mice by pronuclear microinjection are currently limited by low efficiency of random transgene integration into the mouse genome. Furthermore, not all transgenic mice express integrated transgenes, or in other words are effective as functional transgenic mice expressing the desired product of the transgene, thus allowing accomplishment of the ultimate experimental goal - in vivo analysis of the function of the gene or gene network. The purpose of this review is to look at the current state of transgenic technology, utilizing a pronuclear microinjection method as the most accepted way of gene transfer into the mouse genome.
