Opis:
Based on the area between the curve of the membership function of a fuzzy number and the horizontal real axis, a characteristic as a new numerical index, called the expansion center, for fuzzy numbers is proposed. An intuitive and reasonable ranking method for fuzzy numbers based on this characteristic is also established. The new ranking method is applicable for decision making and data analysis in fuzz environments. An important criterion of the goodness for ranking fuzzy numbers, the geometric intuitivity, is also introduced. It guarantees coinciding with the natural ordering of the real numbers.

Opis:
Some problems of design of the fuzzy system rule base for Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS) are considered. The fuzzy system rule base used at decision making about an accommodation of industrial and social objects in territories, dangerous from the point of view of hydrometeorological factors, is the object of research. An approach to determining the parameter of the fuzzy model rule base completeness is presented. Influence of the fuzzy model input vector structure on decisions offered by IDSS is investigated. Research is carried out with use of the package Matlab Fuzzy Logic.
W artykule autorka rozpatruje wybrane zagadnienia budowy rozmytej bazy reguł Inteligentnego Systemu Wspomagania Decyzji (ISWD) wykorzystującego informację hydrometeorologiczną. Informację hydrometeorologiczną charakteryzuje niepewność i niepełność. Powoduje to trudności w ocenie skutków decyzji podejmowanych na podstawie tej informacji. Jako narzędzie pomocnicze w tym przypadku może służyć ISWD, w którego strukturze zawarte są systemy rozmyte. Jako obiekt badań występuje baza reguł systemu rozmytego, wspomagającego proces podejmowania decyzji o możliwości rozmieszczenia obiektów socjalnych i przemysłowych na terenach zagrożonych niebezpiecznymi czynnikami hydrometeorologicznymi. W artykule autorka przedstawia podejście do określenia wskaźnika kompletności bazy reguł modelu rozmytego oraz wyniki badań wpływu struktury wektora wejścia modelu rozmytego na rozwiązania proponowane przez ISWD. Badania prowadzono przy wykorzystaniu oprogramowania Matlab Fuzzy Logic.

The increasing complexity surrounding decision-making situations has made it inevitable for practitioners to apply ideas from a group of experts or decision makers (DMs) instead of individuals. In a large proportion of recent studies, not enough attention has been paid to considering uncertainty in practical ways. In this paper, a hesitant fuzzy preference selection index (HFPSI) method is proposed based on a new soft computing approach with risk preferences of DMs to deal with imprecise multi-criteria decisionmaking problems. Meanwhile, qualitative assessing criteria are considered in the process of the proposed method to help the DMs by providing suitable expressions of membership degrees for an element under a set. Moreover, the best alternative is selected based on considering the concepts of preference relation and hesitant fuzzy sets, simultaneously. Therefore, DMs' weights are determined according to the proposed hesitant fuzzy compromise solution technique to prevent judgment errors. Moreover, the proposed method has been extended based on the last aggregation method by aggregating the DMs' opinions during the last stage to avoid data loss. In this respect, a real case study about the mining contractor selection problem is provided to represent the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed HFPSI method in practice. Then, a comparative analysis is performed to show the feasibility of the presented approach. Finally, sensitivity analysis is carried out to show the effect of considering the DMs' weights and last aggregation approach in a dispersion of the alternatives’ ranking values.

Uncertainty, imprecise, incomplete, and inconsistent information can be found in many real-life systems and may cause more complex problems. A neutrosophic set is an effective and useful tool to describe problems with Uncertainty, imprecise, incomplete, and inconsistent information. The neutrosophic set is characterized by three independent degrees namely the truth-membership degree (T), indeterminacy-membership degree (I), and falsity-membership degree (F). In this paper, we present an extension of the VIKOR method for the solution of multi-criteria decision-making problems, namely neutrosophic set-VIKOR (NS-VIKOR) in a refined neutrosophic environment. The weight of each decision-maker is considered a singlevalued neutrosophic number. The criteria for the weight of every decision-maker are also considered neutrosophic numbers. An aggregation operator is used to combine all decision-makers’ opinions into a single opinion for a rating between criteria and alternatives. Euclidean distances from the positive and negative ideal solutions are calculated to construct relative closeness coefficients. Lastly, an illustrative example of tablet selection is provided to show the applicability of the proposed VIKOR approach.

In this paper, the S-curve membership function methodology is used in a reallife industrial problem in which there are various products, each of which requires a certain mix of raw materials selected from a set of available raw materials. This problem occurs in the chocolate manufacturing industry where decision makers and implementers play important roles that enable successful manufacturing of the products in an uncertain environment. The analysis in this paper tries to find a solution that helps a decision maker when deciding on what to implement. This problem is considered because it can be modeled with the help of fuzzy parameters (for example, the availability of raw materials is not always certain, and so can be treated as a fuzzy parameter). With 29 constraints and 8 variables the problem here is sufficiently large for the S-curve methodology employed because this methodology is applicable to problems with as few as 1 constraint and 1 variable. A decision maker can specify which vagueness parameter is suitable for achieving a revenue which through the analysis results in an initial solution that can be implemented. From the results of this implementation the decision maker can then suggest some possible and practicable changes in fuzzy intervals for improving the revenue. Within the framework of the analysis this interactive process has to go on between the decision maker and the implementer until an optimum solution is achieved and implemented.

Oceans fill two-third surface of the Earth and they are house for majority alive organisms of our planet. However human possibilities of cognition of this environment are very limited. To defeat these limitations lots of scientists dealing with exploration of depths, concentrates on unmanned, remote-controlled underwater vehicle. From seventieth years happened the development of unmanned underwater vehicles which currently administering all characteristic attribute of robot, and have the possibility of shifting and manipulation, ability of technical surroundings' observation, and sometimes are making independent decision in typical situations. For control of all devices of robot responds the system of steering which holds supervision beginning from the propulsion and finishing on switching the video cameras and lighting. In robot's control system the functions of regulator in feedback the most often is realized by operator which is the onlooking working object on monitor installed in deck console. Nowadays more often automatic system of control is used, therefore in this paper such system will be proposed. The main aim of paper is to introduce the results of research concentrated on controlling remotely operated underwater vehicle during movement in conditions of environment disturbance occurrence. Firstly the mathematical model of example ROV is briefly discussed. Next the environment disturbance and its taking into account in mathematical models is shortly described. Next the proposed control system which is using technology of fuzzy logic is presented. At the end the example results of research on stabilizing movements' parameters of ROV during environment disturbance occurrence, using ROV simulator were presented. The paper is finished by summary which include conclusions derive from results of research.

Avariety of approaches for trajectory tracking control of wheeled mobile robots have been implemented. This paper presents a model for a time optimal motion control based on fuzzy logic algorithm for a three wheeled nonholonomic mobile robot with desired function. Simplified kinematic equations of a differentially driven robot are designed to follow the path with evaluated linear and angular velocities. Here, the proposed kinematic model is based on a simple geometric approach for getting the desired position and orientation. The speeds are varied depending on the variations in the path and on the posture of the robot. The robot is subjected to move in a constrained workspace. The control architecture was developed based on fuzzy logic algorithm to obtain time optimal motion control of robot trajectory tracking. The kinematic model was done on Matlab software environment and profound impact on the ability of the nonholonomic mobile robot to track the path was evaluated.

The fishing shipyard in Banda Aceh City is a privately owned shipyard and is managed in a family manner. The shipyard here is active in carrying out maintenance, repair and construction of new ships when there is demand from consumers. Shipyards in Banda Aceh City generally make ships made of wood. The problem that is currently being faced is that there are many abandoned ships due to lack of finance, natural resources, human resources and the environmental, this is an obstacle to the progress and development of shipyards. The purpose of this study is to determine the inhibiting factors that exist in shipyards in the city of Banda Aceh and find alternative solutions to these problems. The method used in this study is a survey method used to look at existing symptoms and collect data on factors related to research variables and then analyzed using the Fuzzy AHP method. The results of this study indicate that the financial inhibiting factor is the most influential factor in shipyards with a resulting value of 0.4635, the inhibiting factor of Natural Resources is worth 0.35675, the inhibiting factor of Human Resources is worth 0.2865 and the inhibiting factor from the environment is the inhibiting factor which is the lowest or less influential with a value of 0.14325. The alternative solutions to financial problems are capital loans and investments. An alternative for natural resources is the addition of a minimum stock to anticipate stock scarcity and delays in the delivery of materials and tools. The alternative for human resources is the existence of an office, organizational structure, and division of tasks as well as awareness of occupational health and safety. As for the alternatives for the environment, namely the need for buildings or installation of tarpaulins for areas where ships are built, good land management and studies of other natural impacts.

W referacie przedstawiono matematyczny deterministyczny model struktury danych w środowisku OLAP w postaci wielowymiarowej i wielopoziomowej kostki. Model został uogólniony na przypadek danych o charakterze rozmytym lub interpretowanych z wykorzystaniem teorii zbiorów rozmytych i logiki rozmytej. Wskazano na możliwości wykonywania analiz jakościowych baz i hurtowni danych w oparciu o przedstawione modele.
The article presents mathematical deterministic model of data structure applied in OLAP environments as multidimensional and multilevel cube. This model is generalized to the fuzzy data or data interpreted with fuzzy sets theory and fuzzy logic. Possibilities of quality analysis of data bases and data warehouses using presented models are described.
