Opis:
Aim. The aim of the research is to provide a scientific justification for the integrated development of general and subject-specific competences of primary school pupils. Methods. The exploratory qualitative case study was conducted in a private school in Lithuania. The integrated activities covered the content of Lithuanian language and science education, as well as general competences such as communication and digital competences. The activity was implemented in grade 4 with 12 pupils (8 boys and 4 girls). A semi-structured interview with the class teacher was also conducted. Results and conclusion. The data from the empirical study were analysed according to the following thematic clusters: interest in the activity, group work, searching for information in the encyclopaedia and in electronic sources, working with a robot when integrating the digital skills and the content of science education, descriptions of animals as a summarising and consolidating activity. The study found that if the educational process is well thought out, if the pupils are interested, they can work independently and support each other in explaining the content, while the teacher becomes an observer, a facilitator, and can concentrate on the pupils’ individual activities during this process. Well-designed tasks with the robot develop not only digital literacy skills, but also the reinforcement of subject content related to the use of concepts. Originality. The case study provides valuable insights into the implementation of an educational process that integrates general and subject-specific competences, and the detailed description of the activities shows which tasks support students’ independent learning.

Opis:
Purpose: The main aim of the article is to determine the influence of the assessment of validity and actual state of individual resources and competences in the sphere of general resources on competitive potential. Additional aim is a comparison of these resources/competences taking into account housing cooperatives from Świętokrzyskie and Małopolskie voivodeships. Design/methodology/approach: The research was conducted among cooperatives’ executives who were asked to assess the validity and state of resources and competences in the sphere of general resources. All housing cooperatives from the Świętokrzyskie and Małopolskie voivodeships were asked to take part in the research, however, because of the tendency of the representatives of cooperatives to participate in the research, the research had been conducted on a sample of 27 housing cooperatives of which 7.6% from Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship and 21% from Małopolskie voivodeship, using an interview questionnaire. Findings: Analysis of conducted research show that there is a positive correlation between the assessment of the importance of resources in the sphere of general resources and the competitive potential of the enterprise. The findings also show that the state of resources is not a moderator (a factor that determines whether or not there is a relationship) of the relationship between the importance of resources and the competitive potential. Moreover, voivodeship of the enterprise does not differentiate its competitive potential and the state of its resources in comparison to its competitors. Practical implications: The study shows that it is very important for managers to know all general resources and competences due to the fact that the understanding of the validity of general resources and competences allows to create the competitive potential. At the same time the knowledge of the state of general resources and competences in comparison to the competition allows the company to do everything to keep up with the competition and then outrun it. It shows what resources/competences are better than competitor’s and what need to be improved. Originality/value: The article theoretically describes general resources/competences of the company and empirically analyses the importance of having the knowledge of possessed resources/competences and its influence on competitive potential. The value of the research is that it confirms what appears to be obvious but in fact is not taken into account by most enterprises.

Communication competence and glottodidactics
Kompetencja komunikacyjna a glottodydaktyka
Autorzy:
Janowska, Iwona
Opis:
The concept of the communication competence originating from the linguistic science is now commonly used in the glottodidactics discourse. Numerous didactic models of the concept have been elaborated to suggest contents, methods and foreign language teaching techniques for several years. Today, a document that sets language teaching standards is the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (2001), elaborated by the European Council, which offers a description of the activity-based communication competence. The activity-based teaching implies not only linguistic communication competences but also transversal competences of the language user. The purpose of the paper is to present the evolution of the key concept in the foreign language teaching didactics and the presentation of its interpretation in contemporary glottodidactics.

Refleksyjność w świetle tekstów Europejskiego systemu opisu kształcenia językowego

Opis:
The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages is a document characterized by a high level of generality, addressed to a wide range of readers. The conceptual paradigm included in the document could constitute the basis for a new trend in language didactics; however, a lot of further work and research should be carried out for the new approach to achieve the status of independent and efficient methodology. The first prerequisite for introducing necessary modifications is a reflexive approach to the recommendations of CEFR, especially those which are methodological in character. The lack of any rules or procedures showing how to facilitate the achievement of learning objectives is the most frequent objection made against the CEFR. The focus on what has to be taught should go along with how to teach and why. Reflexivity which occupies a marginal position in the CEFR has to become a priority for its users if the methodology outlined there is to constitute the new era in language didactics.

According to the teaching of the Vatican Council II, the proclaiming of the Word of God is the main function of the bishop. The teaching function of bishops can exercise personally in communion with the Roman Pontiff or collegial within the framework of the conference of bishops, what is one of the indicative of affective collegiality. Bishops assembled within the framework of the conference of bishops realize the legislative competences in the range of the teaching function issued general decrees. A conference of bishops has power to issue general decrees in cases where the Code of Canon Law of 1983 has prescribed it or a special mandate of the Apostolic See has established it either motu proprio or at the request of the conference itself (can. 455 § 1), and each and every bishop has given consent (can. 455 § 4).

Opis:
The article discusses the organization functioning in Poland in 1948-1955, known as “The Service to Poland”, the purpose of which was military and vocational training of the youth as well as their socialist ideologization. The author focuses particularly on the organization staff and their competences. Without generalizing, the author characterizes the educators, exposing their significant learning gaps, profanity, violation of the dignity of the children, violation of moral and ethical norms, lack of responsibility for young people and drunkenness. In this context, it also shows the mechanism created by the communist authorities in order to enslave and deprive the youth of their right of self-reliance and independence.
