Opis:: Spadek produktu globalnego brutto czy brak wzrostu globalnego handlu wskazuje na stagnację globalizacji, wielu naukowców czy dziennikarzy, z „The Economist” na czele, obawia się jej końca. W niniejszym artykule omówiono wewnętrzne zmiany globalizacji, które pozornie wyglądają jak stagnacja. W konsekwencji jego celem było wskazanie najistotniejszych czynników modelujących w historii, a także obecnie zmieniających proces globalizacji. Artykuł opisuje kluczowe zmiany, do których można zaliczyć np. zastąpienie G7 przez G20, propozycje zmian instytucjonalnych, zmiany technologiczne, w zakresie np. sztucznej inteligencji, robotyki, gospodarki cyfrowej, oraz omówienie ich konsekwencji w kontekście zmian procesu globalizacji.
The decline in global gross product or the lack of global trade growth indicates a stagnation of globalization, many scientists or journalists, with “The Economist” at the forefront, fearing its end. This article discusses the issue of globalization internal changes. As a consequence, the aim of this paper is to identify the most important factors changing the process of the globalization. The article describes key changes, such as the replacement of G7 by G20, technological changes in the field of, e.g., artificial intelligence, robotics and the digital economy, showing the possible consequences of changes in the global economy.

Opis:: The concept of sustainable development has been formulated at a time when modern humanity gained the technological means to carry out almost any transformation of the world around us, but, at the same time also got lost in the goals that their actions should serve. This is connected with the phenomenon of globalization based on egoistic axiology, the priority of which is the uncompromising pursuit of maximum profit. Fortunately, the other globalization – called inclusive globalization – is possible. It is based on eco-humanistic axiology, referring to the common good and coherent with sustainable development concept. The article presents threats and challenges of the contemporary globalization, looking for the solutions that can make our future sustainable.
Koncepcja rozwoju zrównoważonego została sformułowana w momencie, gdy współczesny człowiek posiadł środki techniczne umożliwiające niemal dowolne przekształcanie otaczającego świata, ale zarazem zagubił się w celach, którym te działania powinny służyć. Jednym z istotnych czynników jest tu zjawisko globalizacji opartej na aksjologii egoistycznej, której celem jest nieustanne pomnażanie zysków. Ale jest możliwa także inna globa-lizacja, zwana globalizacją inkluzjonistyczną. Jest ona oparta na aksjologii ekohumanistycznej, odwołującej się do wspólnego dobra i zgodnej z koncepcją rozwoju zrównoważonego. W artykule przedstawiono zagrożenia i wyzwania związane z globalizacją, poszukując rozwiązań, które mogły-by uczynić przyszłość zrównoważoną.

Opis:: The crisis is a notion frequently mentioned in the life of current society. The crisis is commonly spoken about in relation to economy, less is said about crisis in society, family or politics, but today we use to speak about crisis in values, traditions and individual conscience. If we accept this approach we can say that the crisis is in everything. To master principles of communication in crisis, to be aware of their ethical dimensions are inevitable for any professional helping other persons. The lack of cognition in this field can lead for example to such absurd situations in which the rescuer helps a drawing man though he cannot swim himself. To draw a detailed picture, we will be dealing only with one helping profession-the profession of a policeman. The reason for this selection is that the policemen are usually the first to solve crisis situations, especially in interpersonal relations. We have narrowed our investigation to the most frequent crisis situations and their ethical, social and optimal solutions within the frame of policeman performance. We would like to help others, who would like to be involved in crisis intervention issue, and thus their communication via model situation training would not only be ethical, but primarily efficient reaching satisfactory results.

Opis:: The paper discusses some aspects of the transport industry’s impact on the process of globalization in the world economy. Emphasis is put on the emerging new trends in that area, and in particular on the reverse globalization frequently referred to as “de-globalization”. While the latter concept provides ground for controversy, it seems that it has become visible in the number of trades and in particular in food trades which engage a considerable portion of the world transport system’s carrying capacity. Moving back to local production of food, one of many areas where the process of de-globalization appears to have started, might liberate vast reserves of transport capacity worldwide while, simultaneously, it will contribute to the reduction of transport-generated pollution. Arguments for such a solution are raised in the paper as is the necessity for more in-depth analysis in this field.

Opis:: The paper tries to carry on a philosophical analysis of some antinomies of the process we describe as globalization. We point out the disagreement between the expert and post-modern definition of globalization, the trend to drive out the post-modern conception of globalization from the public area. The globalization process is set in a broader context of social and political changes the liberal democracies went through in the second half of the 20th century. The examples presented by the author put emphasis on some negative externalities.

Opis:: The World Council of Churches (WCC) is the biggest and the most impactful ecumenical organization. It considers itself to be an area where Christians from all corners of the world meet. Yet apart from theological dialogue, from the very beginning the WCC has emphasized its social commitment. It is manifested in the in-depth reflection on social and political issues, in various programmes which fight against social problems, and in the contribution to the global debate on the future of the world. For two decades, theologians from the WCC have acknowledged that economic and cultural globalization are fundamental challenges for the world. In their opinion, globalization results in increasing poverty, particularly in the countries of the Global South, and in various social and political crises across the world. In order to face the threats related to globalization, they promote its different nature, one employing technological progress as well as an increase of social awareness concerning globalization. In the perspective of the WCC, Christianity, and the ecumenical movement in particular, has an inalienable task to inspire a new order in the globalizing world.
