Opis:: The article focuses on Christian greetings woven in the history of Romance languages in Europe. Most of them are forgotten today or remain largely obsolete due to the decline in Christian practices. Almost all of these phrases entered the Romance languages from Latin making them widely understood and frequently used in many parts of Europe and often remained unchanged for centuries. The greetings can also be divided into various types dependent on contexts: greetings of Biblical (including Semitic) origin, which are still used during the Catholic mass, the angelic greetings of the Annunciation, its continuation in the “Ave Maria” prayer and in the Marian hymns, the Orthodox paschal greeting as well as other daily greetings of Christian origin, which work(ed) a bit like saying hello.

Opis:: Greetings and wishes comprehended as acts of etiąuette expressed at different occa- sions are the subject of the article. The author analyses wishes sent on post cards prepared for various occasions dating to the 20,h and 21st century. The point of reference for such expression are:1. local newspapers and magazines - the published ready wishes,2. electronic mail - electronic versions of cards for different occasions.The common feature of the above is the possibility of joining the graphic and the lan- guage codę as well as the possibility of sending the wishes on a massive scalę.The relationship between text and time is treated as the influence of time on the text of the wishes. The aim of the article is the observation whether the wishes undergo a change with the passing of time, for example in the course of the century, which aspects - styli- stic-language aspect or the universal hierarchy of values - undergo change and finally for which reasons.

Opis:: The aim of this paper is to examine the closing formulae (FSF) present in Italian business correspondence on the basis of a corpus of letters taken from manuals on drafting of business letters. The study is conducted in an intralinguistic perspective and the goal of this research is to present the FSF characteristics in a given type of text as well as their analysis from a lexical and grammatical point of view. The study also made it possible to identify possible extensions of the research.

Opis:: This research aims to investigate the presence in textbooks of varied material in terms of geolectal equivalents and its perception by teachers of Spanish as a foreign language. In order to examine potential differences in their approach, a pedagogical framework-based task was designed to study a corpus of 100 ELE teachers’ evaluations (50 from Colombia and 50 from Spain) and examine their consciousness and dissimilarities regarding pragmatic correctness when expressing addresses and greeting headings in electronic messages. The results show that native teachers tend to consider as correct the stimuli of peninsular Spanish or of their own variety, while those representing different geolectal variations of Spanish tend to score very low, even being considered as inter or intralinguistic error.

Opis:: The article is dedicated to some greeting formulae and some address forms in contempo-rary Chinese (more precisely Mandarin) language. It discusses general rules of grammatical and lexical system as well as pragmatics and language politeness both in official and unoffi-cial speech. The text is partly of a comparative character (it presents how different expres-sions function within Polish and Chinese communication). It also underlines the glottodi-dactic aspect, which, in this case, refers to teaching not only a foreign language but also a foreign culture.

Opis:: Online greetings in Russian, Polish and German are analyzed in this article. The author treats greetings as a speech act that helps the addresser remind the addressee about his warm feelings towards him/her on the basis of a particular occasion - for instance, the birthday of the addressee. The author analyzes this speech act in relation to peculiarities of communicative and mental scenarios of the culture to which the speaker belongs. The entirety o f standard speech acts and the combination o f intentions of the speakers form a genre. The genre o f modem online greetings seems contiguous to folklore genres because most of the texts do not have authors. Moreover, these texts move from one Internet site to another. Therefore, there is a wide circle of ‘implementers’ - users. The author distinguishes some typical characteristics of online greetings in three cultures. The emphasis on the figurę o f the speaker and incantation character are typical to Russian greeting texts. Happmess, health and etemal youth are the key objects o f Russian greetin g texts Russian nreet gs are related to the futurę. German greetings are mainly related to the birthday celebration itself. Greetings are often related to the review of a life: it is wished that this day the addressee has madę surę that he/she has lived this year in the right way. Word courage (Mut) is constantly repeated in German greetings while this word is absent in Russian greetings. The figurę of the speaker is marginally expressed in Polish greetings. The sweetness of life is present in Polish greetings, whereas it is not observed in German and Russian texts. May all your dreams come true is a cliche element o f Polish greeting texts.The author relates detected specific features of online greetings with the ideas ot philosophers and historians on the peculiarities o f the expression of national character.

Opis:: The aim of the article is to study the conversational behaviour of the Plautine old men in light of the politeness theory. The analysis concerns those scenes of salutatio and giving advice, where one of the speaker is senex, in order to examine features of his linguistic characterization.Según se desprende de la lectura de las obras plautinas, la caracterización de la figura del senex en las comedias de Plauto se centra en destacar su dignidad personal y pública como paterfamilias, un miembro de la élite económica y política. En este artículo hemos igualado la dignitas de los ancianos –que se revela en cada interacción verbal– con el concepto de la imagen social proveniente de la teoría de la cortesía lingüística. A continuación, hemos analizado dos tipos de comportamiento lingüístico (el saludo y las secuencias de aconsejar), donde el senex interactúa con personajes de diferente estatus social. En cuanto a las escenas de saludo realizadas por y hacia los ancianos, se percibe un alto grado de ritualización de la apertura dialógica, tanto más evidente entre dos senes. Las secuencias en las que se dan consejos a un noble paterfamilias también necesitan de varias estrategias de cortesía lingüística para no dañar su imagen social, puesto que este tipo de interacción verbal conlleva una asimetría de poder entre los hablantes. En una breve revisión de dichas escenas, hemos indicado los recursos utilizados tanto para afirmar la imagen del interlocutor (cortesía positiva), como para expresar respeto y reverencia hacia él (cortesía negativa). En consecuencia, la cortesía lingüística, como fenómeno conversacional, nos parece un importante recurso de la caracterización de los personajes plautinos no a nivel estilístico, sino a nivel de la interacción dialógica.

Opis:: Целью настоящей работы является анализ лексико-семантической доминанты цвет в текстах русских поздравлений.Анализ эмпирического материала показал, что несомненно, лексема цветы широко распространена в смысловом пространстве русских поздравлений. Цветы обладают большой ценностью в сознании россиян, а следовательно, в русском менталитете.Можно сделать вывод, что именно цветы объединяют все страны, все культуры своей внешностью и духовностью. Их гармония и красота затрагивает сердца людей во всем мире.Цветы в текстах поздравлений являются прежде всего метафорами универсальных признаков, обозначающих чувства, черты хараткера, внутреннее состояние души. Авторы используют лексему цвет для того, чтобы обратить внимание на красоту растения, его цвет, запах, исключительность, которые при помощи ассоциаций переносятся на человека, его характер и чувства.Множество ассоциаций, связанных с лексемой цвет свидетельствует о том, что образ десигната многозначен и распространяется на разные языковые сферы.
Przedmiotem rozważań niniejszej pracy są kwiaty, a dokładniej ich leksykalno–semantyczny sposób przedstawienia w rosyjskich tekstach okolicznościowych zamieszczonych w internecie.Na podstawie analizy materiału empirycznego, można dojść do wniosku, że Rosjanie często wykorzystują leksem цвет w tekstach życzeń. Świadczy to o istotnym miejscu jakie zajmują te rośliny w ich codzienności. Kwiaty zajmują szczególne miejsce w życiu człowieka. Niezależnie od kraju, kultury i wyznawanych wartości stały się obiektem podziwu i zainteresowania.Kwiaty w tekstach życzeń uosabiają przede wszystkim uniwersalne cechy, określające uczucia, cechy charakteru, stan ducha. Autorzy życzeń wykorzystując leksem цвет podkreślają piękno kwiatu, jego kolor, zapach, wyjątkowość, i w ten sposób przedstawiają cechy i uczucia człowieka. Bogactwo asocjacji związanych z kwiatem sprawia, że obraz desygnatu jest bardzo rozbudowany i wieloznaczny.
The present master’s thesis is devoted to analysis of flowers as one of the lexical semantic domain of greetings in modern Russian language, published on the Internet. On the basis of empirical material analyses, we can come to a conclusion that Russians often use the lexeme цвет in their greetings. That indicate how valuable are these flowers to their cultural heritage. Flowers have a special place in human life. Regardless of the country, culture or religion, they became the object of admiration and interest of people around the world. Flowers in greetings are the personification of universal features, describing feelings, character traits and mental(emotional) conditions. Authors of whishes are using lexeme цвет to emphasise the beauty of flowers, of their colour, smell and uniqueness, to show human features and feeling. Association diversity related to flowers presents that the image of designation is complex and ambiguous.
