Opis:
In this paper, we apply the heuristic method for determination of control functions for controllability analysis of nonlinear power systems. The problem of control of quasi-linear systems under proper assumptions on the nonlinear term is considered in the general statement. Making use of the Green’s function solution of nonlinear systems, the exact and approximate controllability conditions are expressed in terms of unknown controls in an explicit form. The way of resolving controls determination is discussed. As a particular application, a one-machine infinite-bus system is considered described by a coupled system of three first order ordinary differential equations. Two heuristic forms of admissible controls are considered providing approximate controllability within the same amount of time having different intensities. Results of numerical simulations are presented and discussed.

Opis:
The paper presents a general approach to mechanical system modification aimed at controlling the steady harmonic vibrations by means of passive and active methods. The relaŹtive decrease of harmonic vibration amplitudes of selected elements of the mechanical system has been chosen as a measure of the quality of the introduced modification. The proposed theoretical method enables to determine the parameters of the system’s dynamic flexibility matrix, which show the most remarkable effect on the dynamic behaviour of the whole system. When active control is considered the method is useful in designing the structure and choosing the parameters of the control system. In certain in cases of self-excited vibration the approach helps examining the elements of the system, most responsible for this kind of excitation.

Opis:
The use of induction machine spatial saliencies for sensorless vector control in the proximity of zero electrical frequency has been extensively researched over the last few decades. A robust technique to extract machine saliencies is called voltage step excitation, and it computes a saliency phasor out of phase current derivatives resulting from specific voltage steps generated by the inverter switching. Within the saliency phasor, all machine saliencies appear superposed. For some machine constructions, multiple saliencies are present, containing information about the spatial, magnetic and geometric state of the machine. Due to its direct relation with the rotor angle and its high accuracy, rotor slotting saliency is often chosen as the sensorless control signal. In order to exclusively access rotor slotting, saliency separation needs to be carried out, with the goal of eliminating all non-control saliencies from the saliency phasor. In this research, feedforward harmonic compensation based on look-up tables (LUTs) is chosen. The idea is to estimate each saliency in relation to amplitude and phase shift once, store such information in a torque-dependent LUT and use it for feedforward compensation. Yet, several saliencies are linked to the rotor position and, thus, the stored phase shift in the LUT is fixed to a defined rotor position at which the saliency estimation was performed. For the feedforward compensation to work during each sensorless start-up, an initial rotor slot detection must be carried out. This paper presents a technique to estimate initial rotor angle based only on the inherent characteristics of the induction machine multi-saliencies and an iterative feedforward compensation process that requires no extra resources and only a few PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) periods to achieve initial slot rotor angle. Experimental results measured at two different test benches prove the high accuracy of the method.

Locus od control, passion and life satisfaction among students of music academies
Poczucie kontroli, pasja a satysfakcja z życia wśród studentów akademii muzycznych
Autorzy:
Wilk, Kamila
Opis:
W badaniach wykorzystano: Kwestionariusz Delta autorstwa R. Ł. Drwala, Skalę Pasji Marsh’a i in. w polskiej adaptacji M. Mudło-Głagolskiej i in. oraz Kwestionariusz Mental Health Continuum – Short Form (MHC-SF) C. L. M. Keyes w polskiej adaptacji D. Karaś i J. Cieciuch. Z kolei wśród badanych studentów Akademii Muzycznej w Katowicach zauważono słabą zależność pomiędzy zewnętrznym umiejscowieniem kontroli wraz z przejawianiem pasji obsesyjnej a stagnacją zdrowia psychicznego. Wykazano również korelację wyników pasji harmonijnej a wynikami podskal emocjonalnego well-being oraz psychologicznego well-being Kwestionariusza MHC-SF. Całość pracy została napisana zgodnie ze standardami edytorskimi naukowych tekstów psychologicznych w języku polskim na podstawie zasad APA 7 (Cieciuch i in., 2022).
The author's personal experience prompted her to take up the subject of risk factors that may contribute to the mental health of people studying at music academies in Poland. The aim of this study was to understand how the locus of control affects the way of internalizing passion and the level of well-being among students of music academies in Poland. Moreover it was tried to determine if the gender of the subjects was the moderating factor. Author achieved the goal of reaching to 187 students form various Music Academies in Poland aged 18 to 43 years. In the study group were subjects from each of eight state universities, among which the most represented and subjected to additional analysis were students from Katowice, Cracow, Wrocław and Łódź. The research used „Kwestionariusz Delta” by R. Ł. Drwal, Passion Scale of Marsh et al. in the polish adaptation by M. Mudło-Głagolska et al. and Mental Health Continuum – Short Form (MHC-S) C. L. M. Keyes adapted by D. Karaś and J. Cieciuch. Contradictory do the author’s hipothesis the study group was characterized by MHC-SF indicators of flourishing mental health and manifested harmonic passion of chosen activities. Results also showed weak correlation between internal locus of control and internalised harmonic passion for the flourishment of mental health (among women and among the Music students in Łódź). Additionally, weak correlation was seen beetween external locus of control combined with harmonic passion and flourishing mental health in Music Students in Cracow. In the subjects from Music University in Katowice there was a weak correlation beetween external locus of control joined by obsessive passion tendencies and languishing mental health. Further, the harmonic passion nad emotional and psychological well-being subscales of MHC-SF questionairre were found to be correlated. Entirety of the thesis was written in polish in accordance with editorial standards of the scientific psychology based on the APA 7 rules (Cieciuch et al. 2022).

In this paper the MTPA, MTPF, constant torque and constant flux control trajectories are presented. These trajectories are calculated for a 6-phase asymmetric insettype SMPMSM generator with the assumption of a certain level of 3rd harmonic current injection. This injection technique increases the generator performance due to the cooperation of the fundamental and 3rd harmonic. The presented trajectories are used for fast control of the generator working in the gearless wind turbine system.

Opis:
The paper investigates a significant influence of transients on steady states in a matrix converter with the one-periodic control strategy. Proposed controller can be used as an interconnection device within a power system for a power flow control. However, the presence of inductances in external systems has the significant influence on steady state of a matrix converter operation. The special current injection method has been developed to ensure a proper operation of a matrix converter. Presented analysis of steady states is carried out in a frequency domain using the harmonic balance method. Obtained numerical results, which are confirmed by a time domain analysis, prove the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Opis:
Power variation of a customer load can disturb other loads in distribution systems and compensators for such loads are sometimes needed. Voltages and currents in systems with such loads can be asymmetrical, nonperiodic, distorted and even unpredictable. Consequently, reference signals for the compensator control have to be generated in a situation where the power properties of the load are not well specified. Voltages and currents in systems with time-varying loads, although nonperiodic, can be treated as quantities with a disturbed periodicity. These are referred to as semi-periodic quantities. Under such an assumption, the Current Physical Components (CPC) power theory can by used for estimation of the power properties of such loads. In such a case, the CPC power theory provides fundamentals for a quasi-instantaneous generation of reference signals for the compensator control, based both on the frequency- and on the time-domain approach. The paper presents fundamentals of generation of reference signals for unbalanced loads with semi-periodic voltages and currents.

Opis:
The paper presents a solution for sensorless field oriented control (FOC) system for five-phase induction motors with improved rotor flux pattern. In order to obtain the advantages of a third harmonic injection with a quasi-trapezoidal flux shape, two vector models, α1–β1 and α3–β3, were transformed into d1– q1, d3– q3 rotating frames, which correlate to the 1st and 3rd harmonic plane respectively. A linearization approach of the dual machine model in d – q coordinate frames is proposed by introducing a new additional variable “x” which is proportional to the electromagnetic torque. By applying the static feedback control law, a dual mathematical model of the five-phase induction motor was linearized to synthesize a control system in which the electromagnetic torque and the rotor flux can be independently controlled. The results shows the air gap flux shape in steady as well transient states under various load conditions. Moreover, the implemented control structure acquires fault tolerant properties and leads to possible emergency running with limited operation capabilities. The fault-tolerant capability of the analyzed machine was guaranteed by a special implemented control system with a dedicated speed observer, which is insensitive to open-phase fault situation. The experimental tests have been performed with single and double-open stator phase fault. A torque measurement was implemented to present the mechanical characteristics under healthy and faulty conditions of the drive system.

Opis:
Under the traditional control method, the dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (DTP–PMSM) has a harmonic plane with low impedance, and it can produce larger harmonic current. Model predictive control (MPC) has a simple control structure and a good dynamic performance. The MPC is usually used in a high-performance control system of multiphase motors. Aiming at the DTP–PMSM drive system, an improved MPC strategy based on the biplane virtual voltage vector is proposed in this paper. In the proposed biplane MPC scheme, the voltage vector of the α–β plane is virtual to 25 voltage vectors, while the voltage vector of the x–y plane is virtual to zero. At the same time, the voltage vector of the x–y plane is virtual to 25 voltage vectors, while the voltage vector of the α–β plane is virtual to zero. On this basis, the cost function of the biplane is evaluated. The operating time and reference voltage of each vector are calculated. The virtual voltage vector on the α–β plane is used for electromechanical energy conversion to generate the best electromagnetic torque and reduce torque ripple. The virtual voltage vector on the x–y plane is used to suppress the stator current harmonics and improve the efficiency of the DTP–PMSM. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed biplane MPC.
