Opis:: Contemporary young people face new challenges of the rapidly changing reality.Th e conditions of social life change substantially, oft en causing transformationsin the sphere of awareness and behavior. Developing the system of values is anextremely crucial issue in the process of educating children and young people andcreating conditions for their development. Young people, oft en lost in the cultureof pleasure, encounter suggestions of new ways of forming rules of behavior, hierarchizingrules and choosing life targets. Developing and forming the right andlasting hierarchy of values is an indispensable factor of a conscious life and makingresponsible decisions, making certain choices and showing particular behaviours.In the article a part of the research concerning the system of values of 280 secondaryschool students has been presented. Th e researches were of a comparable nature.Data from two types of schools, that is, public and private secondary schoolsfrom various sizes of towns of the Podkarpacie voivodeship have been compiled.Th e analysis of the values selected by young people will fulfi ll the life philosophy ofthe analyzed, with reference to these aspects which are the most important for them.

Opis:: The text focuses on the subject of family and values. It aims to show where in the hierarchy of values of the studied youth, second class of high school is a family. The text contains a theoretical description of the family and its transformations, as well as an empirical part concerning research on family values in the opinions of secondary school students. In recent years, it has been observed that the family is losing value because the values related to the good of the individual become more important. This was also confirmed in the conducted studies, because the family was located by the youth on the distant 7th position in the group of 10 values.

Opis:: Artykuł podejmuje problematykę poznawania hierarchii wartości kształtowanej przez wychowanków. Celem pracy jest określenie czym są wartości z uwzględnieniem perspektywy filozoficznej, psychologicznej, socjologicznej i pedagogicznej oraz ukazanie propozycji poznawania wartości preferowanych przez uczniów. Artykuł podkreśla złożoność kategorii jaką stanowią wartości oraz podejmuje ponadto problematykę istnienia wartości. Rozwiązaniem tego problemu jest przyjęcie określonego stanowiska aksjologicznego. Pozwala to na skonstruowanie propozycji poznawania kształtowanej przez wychowanków hierarchii wartości z wykorzystaniem metody aktywizującej. Artykuł zawiera rekomendacje praktyczne dotyczące poznawania wartości preferowanych przez uczniów i możliwości poznawania wartości przez wychowanków. Wskazane propozycje mogą zostać wykorzystane przez wychowawców na zajęciach z udziałem uczniów w wieku szkolnym.
The article concerns the issue of learning the hierarchy of values shaped by students. The aim of this paper is to determine what values are, including philosophical, psychological, sociological, pedagogical perspectives, as well as to present recommendations for learning the values preferred by students. The article emphasizes the complexity of the category of values and addresses the issue of the existence of values. The solution to this problem is to adopt a specific axiological position. This allows for the creation of recommendations for learning the hierarchy of values shaped by students using the activating method. The article presents practical recommendations regarding learning the values preferred by students and the possibility for students to learning the values. The indicated recommendations can be used by the educators during the classes with school-age students.

Opis:: Efektem przeprowadzonych przeze mnie badań i dokonanej analiz jest niniejsza praca, składająca się z trzech rozdziałów. W pierwszym rozdziale wyjaśniłam pojęcie wartość, następnie opisałam, czym jest system wartości oraz zajęłam się rodzajami i hierarchią wartości. W kolejnej części rozdziału opisuję trzy wybrane wartości moralne, tj. dobro, miłość, przyjaźń. W dalszej części podejmuję zagadnienie rozwoju społeczno- moralnego uczniów w wieku wczesnoszkolnym oraz opisuję proces kształtowania ich systemu wartości. W ostatniej części rozdziału przedstawiłam rolę, jaką spełnia program ukryty szkoły oraz wymieniłam podstawowe zadania nauczyciela i szkoły w kształtowaniu systemu wartości. W kolejnym rozdziale opisałam i przeanalizowałam zebrany materiał empiryczny, Szczegółowo przedstawiłam, co było celem mojej pracy. Zawarłam tam również, metody, techniki badawcze oraz narzędzie, które pomogły mi w zgromadzenia danych niezbędnych do odpowiedzi na przedstawione problemy badawcze. W trzecim rozdziale przeanalizowałam pytania, które zadałam w wywiadzie . Zebrane odpowiedzi krótko scharakteryzowałam i przedstawiłam za pomocą wykresów i tabeli. Pod koniec rozdziału podsumowałam swoją pracę i wyciągnęłam kilka bardzo ważnych wniosków dotyczących znaczenia wartości w życiu uczniów.
The following thesis consisting of three chapters is the result of my research and analysis.In the first chapter the author explains the notions of value and what the value system is, and also presents types and the hierarchy of values. In the following part of the chapter three chosen moral values like the good, love and friendship are described by the author. This chapter also discusses issues concerning early childhood education students’ social and moral development and describes process of such student value system formation. In the last part of this chapter the author describes the role of the hidden curriculum of educational system and lists the basic teacher and school tasks in value system formation.In the next chapter the author describes and analyses the collected empirical material, the purpose of the work is explained in details in it. The methods, research techniques and tools that helped the author in gathering the data needed to answer the research problems are presented in the second chapter as well.The third chapter contains the analysis of the questions that were asked by the author in the interview. The responses are briefly characterized and presented by means of graphs and tables. At the end of the chapter the author summarises her work and draws some very important conclusions about the importance of values in the lives of students.

Opis:: Artykuł przedstawia poglądy twórcy „materialnej etyki wartości” – Maxa Schelera na temat natury i hierarchii wartości w kontekście zagadnień pedagogicznych. Autor ukazuje wartości jako istniejące obiektywnie właściwości realnego świata, które odkrywamy za pomocą intuicji. Życie emocjonalne człowieka nie stanowi chaosu, ponieważ człowiek poznaje wartości w porządku hierarchicznym oraz uchwytuje ich specyfikę i zachodzące między nimi zależności. Opisany w ten sposób „świat wartości” zachęca do rozwijania własnego człowieczeństwa opartego na porządku wartości i wysiłku zdobywania tego co najcenniejsze, nie zaniedbując przy tym wartości należących do niższych szczebli hierarchii. Poglądy Schelera skłaniają do krytycznego podejścia i szacunku wobec etosu, w którym się uczestniczy. Cele i ideały wychowania powinny być oparte na etyce miłości, dzięki której dokonuje się prawdziwe i pełne poznanie człowieka.
The article presents the views of the creator of "material ethics of values" - Max Scheler on the nature and hierarchy of values in the context of pedagogical issues. The author shows values as objectively existing properties of the real world, which we discover through intuition. Emotional life of a man is not chaos, because man discovers values in a hierarchical order and recognizes their specificity and relationships between them. The "world of values" described in this way encourages the development of one's humanity based on the order of values and the effort to acquire the most valuable without neglecting the values belonging to the lower levels of the hierarchy. Scheler's views lead to a critical approach and respect for his ethos. Pedagogical objectives and ideals should be based on the ethics of love, through which true and full knowledge of man is made.

Opis:: The article – which is based on the need theory proposed by McClelland and the author’s theoretical and empirical Personality and Axiological Model – deals with the research on two groups of professionally engaged individuals: outstanding Polish actors and managers in the area of services. The results obtained indicate a significant diversity of the groups in terms of personality traits and the hierarchy of values as well as the consistency of the image in the scope of significance of dimensions related to competence and autonomy. The sphere of motivation in both groups studied is remarkably similar as well. The results show that individuals who are effective and expect professional achievements, success and action, have a very strong and homogeneous internal motivation. In the case of people practising their profession in a creative manner in different disciplines, it is possible to single out not only the differences between them but also to determine the manner of social adaptations. The results obtained may be applied to activities aimed at professional development.

Opis:: Artykuł prezentuje empiryczną weryfikację hipotezy, iż małżonkowie należący do wspólnoty Domowego Kościoła (DK), w swojej hierarchii wartości wyżej stawiają dobra związane z religijnością i rodziną, niż małżonkowie nie związani z żadną wspólnotą religijną. Na takie przesłanki wskazują dotychczasowe dane, wedle których osoby z DK cechują się wysokim poziomem religijności personalnej i dobrymi jakościowo relacjami rodzinnymi. Weryfikacji hipotezy dokonano w oparciu o Skalę Wartości Miltona Rokeacha, badając 30 małżeństw z DK i spoza DK. Uzyskane rezultaty potwierdziły, iż członkowie DK w swojej hierarchii wartości najwyżej cenią dobra dotyczące relacji z Bogiem, następnie relacji z najbliższymi, a potem relacji z innymi ludźmi. Źródłem takich wyników w pierwszym rzędzie wydaje się być przynależność do wspólnoty DK, co sprawia, że hierarchia wartości jej członków: cechuje się dużym stopniem spójności wewnętrznej (między wartościami ostatecznymi i instrumentalnymi), idzie w parze z hierarchią potrzeb w ujęciu Abrahama Maslowa i religijnością personalną, stawia rodzinę na drugim miejscu (po Bogu), choć większość Polaków umieszcza ją na miejscu pierwszym, pozwala przełamać zależności związane z wiekiem. Jednak inną przyczyną uzyskanych danych może być struktura osobowości badanych osób, gdyż hierarchia wartości, zdaniem Rokeacha, stanowi jedną z jej części. Dylemat ten pozwolą rozstrzygnąć jedynie dalsze poszukiwania empiryczne.
The article presents an empirical verification of the hypothesis that spouses belonging to the religious community of the Domestic Church (DC) place religious and family-related goods higher in their hierarchy of values than spouses not affiliated with any religious community. Such premises are indicated by previous data according to which DC members are characterized by a high level of personal religiosity and good quality family relationships. The hypothesis was verified on the basis of Milton Rokeach's Values Scale, examining 30 DC and non-DC couples. The results obtained confirmed that in their hierarchy of values, members of the DC community place the highest value on goods pertaining to relationships with God, followed by relationships with loved ones, and then relationships with other people. The source of such results first of all seems to be the membership in the DC community, which makes the hierarchy of values of its members: characterized by a high degree of internal consistency (between ultimate and instrumental values), goes hand in hand with Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs and personal religiosity, puts family in the second place (after God), although the majority of Poles put it in the first place, allows for overcoming dependencies related to age. However, another reason for the data obtained may be the personality structure of the persons surveyed, as the value hierarchy, according to Rokeach, is one of its parts. This dilemma will only be resolved by further empirical research.
