Assistance and inclusivity as a part of experience : museum context

In the current dynamic environment, museums, instead of deliberating whether they should be audience-oriented, have to consider how to implement this idea to shape positive experiences. Moreover, museums need to adapt their communication methods to suit the current audience, which is diverse in terms of age, to rethink how the value of museums should be communicated. As museums are places where visitors see artifacts but also experience something, the concept of inclusivity and accessibility has gradually garnered much more attention. As they are not the same concepts, it is crucial to analyze them separately. Therefore, the article explores to what extent museums include the issue of inclusivity in their virtual content and the possibility of virtual assistance. Content analysis from official social media profiles and websites was conducted to realize the assumed aim. The study involves museums from two Polish voivodships. Data was collected between August and December 2023. The study revealed differences in how museums address their content and activities to people from different language backgrounds. Some institutions are oriented towards online assistance and language inclusivity, yet in the other, many areas need improvement. In further research, it would be valuable to include the perspectives of museum employees.

The book explores mediation as a broad and versatile phenomenon, demonstrating its applicability across a variety of conflict types and adaptability in different contexts – ranging from disputes between states to conflicts within the private sector. Emphasizing its sustainable and inclusive nature, the publication also provides an analysis of mediation from the perspective of its role in international law, particularly its application in shaping relations between states, as well as its significance and origins rooted in philosophy and culture. This interdisciplinary approach allowed for viewing mediation not only as a solution embedded in law at the national and international levels but also as a process influenced by the cultural, historical and philosophical factors present in different communities.

Recent ISRO initiatives have shifted the narrative where the prominence of women in space science is highlighted. Despite this, the gender gap persists as a challenge that can impede India's goal of becoming a space-faring developed nation by 2047. Therefore, it is imperative to achieve a diverse and sustainable talent pool ensuring equitable opportunities and participation of all. Through multimodal digital ethnography, this research analyzes the media portrayals of women scientists and gathers insights from various stakeholders on issues like media impact on personal life and in shaping public perceptions, workplace dynamics, and work-life balance. It also reviews key government STEM policies promoting women's participation. The study proposes three policy recommendations: embed gender equity in space policy, normalize women’s roles in the sector, and promote inclusive media content.

Zagadnienie etyki języka i komunikacji, rozumiane jako włączanie do dyskursu grup językowo dyskryminowanych, jest w polszczyźnie czymś względnie nowym. Wraz z rozwojem koncepcji języka włączającego pojawiła się potrzeba aktualizacji materiałów do nauczania języka polskiego jako obcego. Niniejszy artykuł weryfikuje, czy dwie najpopularniejsze serie podręczników do nauczania języka polskiego jako obcego, tj.: "Hurra!!! Po polsku" oraz "Polski, krok po kroku", odpowiadają normom współczesnej polszczyzny inkluzywnej. Przed przystąpieniem do analizy odwołano się do teorii relatywizmu językowego jako podstawowego uzasadnienia dla koncepcji języka i komunikacji włączającej. Następnie podjęto się próby zdefiniowania, czym jest język włączający. Badanie objęło zarówno warstwę słowną, jak i szatę graficzną podręczników. W czasie analizy poszukiwano obecności włączających strategii językowych dla ośmiu wybranych grup językowo dyskryminowanych, tj.: kobiet, osób nieheteronormatywnych, niebinarnych, starszych, chorujących, z niepełnosprawnościami, a także o różnym kolorze skóry i pochodzeniu. Jak wykazano, w obu publikacjach występują zarówno formy włączające, jak i wykluczające. Inna jest natomiast częstotliwość stosowania strategii inkluzywnych, co nie pozostaje bez wpływu na ostateczną ocenę. Na rynku dostępnych jest wiele podręczników do nauczania języka polskiego jako obcego, dlatego istnieje szerokie pole do realizacji podobnych badań. Z pewnością warte dyskusji jest też uwzględnienie języka włączającego w programach nauczania na różnych poziomach zaawansowania językowego osób uczących się.
The issue of the ethics of language and communication is relatively new in the Polish language. With the development of the inclusive language concept, there was a need to update materials for teaching Polish as a foreign language. This article verifies whether the two most popular series of textbooks for teaching Polish as a foreign language, i.e. "Hurra!!! Po polsku" and "Polski, krok po kroku", correspond to the norms of contemporary assumptions of in-clusive Polish language. Before the analysis, the theory of linguistic relativism was referred to as the basic justification for the concept of inclusive language and communication. Then, attempts were made to define what inclusive language is. The study covered both the verbal layer and the graphic design of textbooks. During the analysis, the presence of inclusive language strategies was sought for eight selected linguistically discriminated groups, i.e. women, non-heteronorm-ative, non-binary, elderly and ill people, people with disabilities, as well as people of colour. The study showed that both inclusive and exclusive forms are present in both publications.However, the frequency of using inclusive strategies is different, which has an impact on the final assessment. There are many textbooks for teaching Polish as a foreign language available on themarket, which is why there is a wide field for similar research. It is certainly worth discussingthe inclusion of inclusive language in curricula at different levels of language proficiency of learners.

Radical inclusivity : post-human perspectives for subjective inclusion of other-than-human beings in management processes

The subject of the article is the issue of subjective inclusion of other-than-human beings in management processes. Due to the association of participation with human cognitive tools in management theory, consequent exclusion of other-than-human beings occurs. The aim of the research is to find perspectives in the sources of post-humanist philosophy that make it possible to transcend the anthropocentric barriers. Based on a review of selected literature – Actor-Network Theory, Object-Oriented Ontology, Dark Ecology, and Kinship – the research shows that subjective inclusion of other-than-human beings in management processes is possible. It requires abandonment of the judgement of non-human agency measured by humanly perceived consciousness in favour of a vision of symbiotic co-creation. The article also derives the category of radical inclusivity as a process of changing the perception of the role of other-than-human beings within management, with a particular emphasis on the practice of inclusive management.

Opis:
The article analyzes the impact of stereotypes on organizational culture in educational institutions. The research – conducted in June 2024 in Poland, with 100 respondents including teachers, school directors, and parents – was aimed at addressing the research gap concerning the lack of literature linking stereotypes about students with the shaping of organizational culture among teachers. Online surveys were used to collect research material. The results showed a correlation between the stereotypical treatment of students and the shaping of organizational culture in educational institutions. The article suggests that managing organizational culture through training and policies promoting inclusivity can significantly reduce the negative effects of stereotypes in education.

The analysis of neurodiversity demonstrates that the identity of neuroatypical individuals is shaped by the dynamic interaction of personal and sociocultural dimensions, consistent with social identity theories and interactionist concepts of self-development. Neurodiversity functions as both a scientific and cultural category, approached through the lens of positive psychology, philosophy of mind, and inclusiveness research. It is also interpreted in terms of social narra-tives that redefine the meaning of neurodevelopmental diversity in the public arena. This article highlights the tension between an affirmative approach to neurodiversity and a critique of its vague terminology and limited falsifiability. It emphasizes that understanding neurodiversity as a framework for identity development requires integrating the psychological conditions of individual experience and self-knowledge with the cultural dimensions of advocacy movements and inclusive practices. The need for an interdisciplinary approach, integrating psychology, cultural studies, and social policy, to better understand the processes accompanying the identity development of neurodivergent individuals and to support their participation in social life is recommended. As a result, this approach allows for new research perspectives in psychology, cultural stud-ies, and social policy planning to better understand and provide adequate guid-ance to neurodivergent individuals.
Artykuł podejmuje problematykę neuroróżnorodności jako kluczowego pojęcia współczesnego dyskursu psychologicznego i kulturoznawczego, akcentując jej znaczenie w procesie konceptualizacji tożsamości jednostki. Neuroróżnorodność, wyrosła z tradycji samorzeczniczej, a następnie rozwinięta w kontekście akademickim, stanowi alternatywę wobec paradygmatu biomedycznego, proponując ramy interpretacyjne dla rozumienia odmienności neurologicznych jako naturalnej zmienności ludzkiego funkcjonowania. Analiza pokazuje, iż toż-samość osób neuroatypowych kształtuje się w dynamicznej interakcji wymiarów osobistych i społeczno-kulturowych, zgodnie z teoriami tożsamości społecznej i interakcjonistycznymi koncepcjami rozwoju „Ja”. Nieróżnorodność funkcjonuje zatem jednocześnie jako kategoria naukowa i kulturowa – ujmowana w perspektywie psychologii pozytywnej, filozofii umysłu oraz badań nad inkluzyjnością. Bywa też intepretowana w kategoriach narracji społecznych, które redefiniują znaczenie zróżnicowaniu rozwoju neurologicznego w przestrzeni publicznej. W artykule zwrócono uwagę na pewne napięcie zarysowujące się między afirmatywnym ujęciem neuroróżnorodności a krytyką jej nie-precyzyjnej terminologii i ograniczonej falsyfikowalności. Konkluzja publikacji wskazuje, że zrozumienie neuroróżnorodności jako ram rozwoju tożsamości wymaga integracji wymiaru psychologicznego (indywidualne doświadczenie człowieka, samowiedza, kondycja) z kulturowym (ruchy samorzecznicze, praktyki inkluzyjne), co otwiera nowe perspektywy badawcze w psychologii, kulturoznawstwie, ale również w planowaniu polityki społecznej.

This paper examines the escalating phenomena of political dynasties and elite circulation within the Nigerian context, alongside its profound implications for electoral politics and resultant outcomes. Employing elite theory as a conceptual framework, the research posits that the institutionalization of political dynasties has engendered a pervasive sentiment of entitlement among the political elite, thereby marginalizing the general populace and obstructing the trajectory of democratic advancement. Through an exhaustive review of existing literature and a detailed trend analysis, the article delineates the historical evolution and consequential impact of political dynasties on the political framework of Nigeria. The results indicate that this pervasive sense of entitlement has culminated in widespread challenges related to accountability, corruption, and a flagrant disregard for the rule of law. The dynasties have engendered various forms of elite circulation across multiple tiers of government and political parties, yet they have glaringly failed to instigate substantive change, thereby perpetuating the supremacy of political dynasties. The paper ultimately recommends the establishment of a more inclusive political framework in Nigeria, underscoring the imperative for enhanced accountability, transparency, and institutional reforms aimed at dismantling the entrenched cycle of political dynasties and promoting democratic development.
