Opis:
Tematem opracowania jest przybliżenie wykorzystania nowoczesnych technologii informacyjnych i telekomunikacyjnych w edukacji. Przedstawiono rolę ICT we współczesnym kształceniu. Na podstawie analizy badań ankietowych wykazano, że uczniowie gimnazjum są świadomi dezaktualizacji wiedzy z zakresu nowoczesnych technologii informacyjnych, ale blisko 1/3 nic nie robi, aby pozostawać na bieżąco z wiedzą z zakresu technologii informacyjnej.
The analysis of use of information and communication technologies in education is the subject of this paper. There was shown the role of ICT in modern education. Based on analysis of the survey was shown that middle school students are aware of quickness outdated knowledge of modern information technology, but nearly 1/3 of them does nothing to get familiar with the newest knowledge in area of information technology.

Opis:
The goal of this paper is to analyse the changing role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and to determine their influence on selected countries' international competitiveness. To achieve this, the calculated global ICT development index has been compared to selected measures of international competitive position. Conducted research has confirmed that in respect of ICT a partial alignmentbetween developed and other countries has occurred. Moreover, there is a noticeable interdependence between ICT development and international competitive position indicators.

Opis:
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has been regarded as the source for the social economic development of any country especially a developing country like Nigeria and has remained the reagent of growth for developed countries. Almost all government services could be initiated and delivered through ICT and since these tools are efficient and reliable, they are today functioning as catalyst of good governance in most countries. This paper gives the exposition at some ICT strategies that could help the country consolidate on good governance, e-government and realize her vision of becoming one of the top 20 global economies in the world by 2020. A desktop research approach was used to evaluate some technical details on the ICT tools in achieving good governance socio-economic development in Nigeria. In conclusion, appropriate policy suggestions were suggested for efficient use of ICT in promoting good governance in Nigeria.

Opis:
Corruption is a social phenomenon that has existed since the beginning in all communities, present in everyday situations, and affects the education system. We reviewed the various aspects of corruption in the Amazon education system basing on domination theory. We looked for factors that facilitate corruption in the education system and harm sustainable development in the Amazon. We have also shown the relationships between domination theory, scientific knowledge degradation, and sustainable development. We have identified some options to fight corruption in the education system to ensure sustainable development in the Amazon. We have implemented a qualitative research project under the Amazon Graduate Program to reach described goals. Our research methods included critical literature analysis, case study, direct observation, and content analysis to describe the literature review concepts. Through the Ishikawa diagram's graphic representation, we highlighted the causes of traditional domination and corruption sub-causes that cause the degradation of scientific knowledge and sustainability in the Amazon. The study concludes that the domination in the education system is similar to traditional domination. Corrupt actions can be decisive for preventing the construction of knowledge about Sustainability in the Amazon. The scenario warns of a crisis in the education system. Our findings allow us to suggest significant actions for coping with curbing corrupt practices and unethical actions in the system. Our Amazonian academy findings help reflect the reality of the managers and politicians sensitized with this investigative work.

During the COVID-19 pandemic era, the importance of employee engagement increased considerably. Employee engagement paves the way to a high level of employee job performance and organizational financial performance within the organization. The main aim of this study was to investigate employee engagement and its relationships with four constructs which can be considered as the dynamics of employee engagement. The selected four dynamics are leadership, communication climate, information and communication technology awareness and competency, and trust. The unit of analysis in this quantitative study was the executive employees in a Sri Lankan organization whose core business involved publishing, printing, book-selling and education. Four hypotheses were tested with minimal researcher interference in a non-contrived setting as part of this cross-sectional study. Research findings indicated significant relationships between employee engagement and leadership as well as communication climate. Connections to information and communication technology awareness and competency and trust were also established. Further implications and recommendations have been discussed.

Opis:
The paper aims to determine how information and communication technology influences contemporary culture and examines the nature of this relationship. The analysis is based on socio-cultural research combined with socio-metric and humanistic studies, along with an eclectic approach. The author uses qualitative methods, in addition to system analyses, discourse analyses, secondary analysis, and participant observation. Digital and communication technology is changing the nature of interpersonal relations in today’s world, Wassilew says. Social networking sites on the internet make it possible to strengthen old and create new interpersonal ties, and they also contribute to the development of an information society. Technology used in interpersonal communication changes the way in which people look at the world around them. This eventually leads to new lifestyle patterns, in addition to economic, political and cultural changes, Wassilew says. According to the author, the paper’s findings can be used in business, marketing, logistics, organization and management strategies, and in the design of IT and communications systems.

Opis:
The article describes some preliminary results of the implementation of Work Package 4 (WP4) “Selection and testing new ICT tools” within a framework of the international research network IRNet and researchers from partner institutions from Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and Australia. These results concern analyzing and studying some categories of ICT tools for making didactic videos. The whole package period was divided into several main stages 1-5. The role of multimedia in teaching is considerable since they offer various information presentation formats simultaneously. The advantage of combining text, audio, images, animation, video and hyperlinks lies in the use of both main channels - visual and verbal - for making didactic videos in an efficient way. Features of an effective presentation and examples of computer programs which may be used for this purpose have also been shown in the paper. The authors presented a ranking list based on the quality and quantity assessment of choosing ICT tools, proposed some recommendations of features of good didactic videos and analyzed some mistakes users make most frequently while elaborating didactic videos.

The integration of ICT in language learning has become essential in today’s teaching-learning environment because the impact of information and communication technology (ICT) on language learning has been recognized globally. Nowadays, there is a great variety of the technology in language teaching and learning: Radio, TV, CD Rom, Computers, C.A.L.L., the Internet, Electronic Dictionary, Email, Blogs and Audio Cassettes, Power Point, Videos, DVD’s or VCD’s. So when the world is fast becoming a global village, the use of modern technological gadgets to improve language learning has become very important as well as in teaching English as EFL. This paper aims at analyzing the necessity of IC technology to language teaching and bringing out the problems faced by its users to make teachers of English aware of the strategies to exercise them in an effective manner.

Opis:
Digitalisation of rural areas and agriculture is a vital thread in the EU debate now, at the time of developing the 2021–2027 programming perspective and defining the CAP goals. However, in this debate selected geographic and social factors influencing the process of digitalisation–according to the literature–do not seem to be taken into account. This leads to simplifications and generalisations of the rural reality. Given that satisfying different groups of stakeholders in different areas of Europe poses a big challenge to any of the EU policy, efforts to make them more effective should be stepped up. This paper is to serve that role. Its main aim was to discuss the gaps in the EU debate on digitalisation of rural areas and agriculture. The simplifications and generalisations present in the debate come down to the marginalisation of the role of place and people in the process. These in turn stem from perceiving the rural reality through the prism of binary division of rural society and economy. The former is seen to be constituted by farmers and non-farmers, while the latter by agricultural and non-agricultural functions of rural areas.
