Opis:: The author of this research offer the hypothesis that university education is the most important condition for the development of an innovation-oriented economy and that the creation of an innovation society requires the modernization of university education. Innovation education has been identified as a key contributor to the enhancement of the innovative behavior of individuals, organizations and economies. It is widely believed that countries’ social and economic well-being will depend to an ever greater extent on the quality of their citizens’ education: the emergence of the so-called ‘knowledge society’, the transformation of information and the media, and increasing specialization on the part of organizations, all of which call for high skill profiles and levels of knowledge. This study builds to examines an individual’s understanding of the term innovation. By looking at undergraduate and postgraduate students in Poland represented by the Warsaw School of Economics it is hoped to ascertain what role education plays in developing the notion of “innovation” and innovation education with the purpose of assessing it

Opis:: The rate and the scope of changes in education are reasons to take up the subject of innovation, which is more marked in the outside environment than within school walls. This indicates the problem of a mismatch between the skills attained within the educational system and employers’ needs. OECD experts see a solution to this problem in creating an innovative environment at school and justifying the central place of innovation in political and educational debates. The assessment of conditions that have built up the existing demand for innovation has become a basis for viewing innovation in education as a scientific category, including the distinction between innovation and change. The analysis of definitions was made here through the prism of utility and relevance to school reality. The analyses carried out in the article answer the question of whether we are dealing with an excess or a lack of innovation within school reality.

Na podstawie swoich doświadczeń włoska lekarka utworzyła metodę nauki, która wykorzystywana jest obecnie na całym świecie. Praca traktuje o innowacjach w zarządzaniu, szczególnie w oświacie i edukacji. Poruszany jest w niej rownież temat zastosowania tej idei w świetle badań empirycznych, gdzie na podstawie przeprowadzonych wywiadów zostały wyciągnięte wnioski i rekomendacje.

Opis:: This paper discusses the research results and reflection on competences, especially didactic competences of geography teachers and candidates for geography teachers in the aspect of challenges which education faces nowadays. The most important challenges are: the high quality of the process of training, innovation and the necessity to adjust to constantly changing requirements of the job market. The author of this article has for over ten years conducted research on geography teacher-trainees’ development of subject competence and didactic competence. Personal and interpersonal competencies graduates of higher education significantly affect his chances in the labour market. A profile of the graduate should also help potential employers choose competent employees. Author of this paper believes that the acquisition of the appropriate competences by geography students – candidates for teachers constitutes the most important element in professional training of the future teacher including a geography teacher.

Tytuł:: Wykorzystanie gier komputerowych w praktyce edukacyjnej
Use of computer games in educational practice

Opis:: Computer games are one of the most popular entertainment segments, which still is dynamically developing and expanding the circle of one’s own enthusiasts throughout the world. Despite overall belief about negative influence of computer games against human, lots of productions have a big impact on development of individuals, expanding theirs jurisdictions and skills. The topic of this thesis are presenting theme of computer games and portrayal of possibilities of using computer games in Educational practice. Given the fact that using of this segment of entertainment is popular, it is proper to consider how to launch computer games in the school environment, without the disturbances, but with supporting influence of them on didactic processes. The structure of this thesis comprises of three chapters. The first chapter pictures the history of computer games and types of them. This part includes review of interdisciplinary studies, which refers to entertaiment segment. Second part of thesis presents selected examples of using computer games at various levels of education, also in education for adults. The last chapter presents the perspectives of development of computer games and using of them in the Educational targets, which develop human abilities and competences beyond education. In this part was mentioned also strand of challenges for teachers, who want to use computer games in education.
Gry komputerowe to jeden z najbardziej popularnych segmentów rozrywki, który wciąż prężnie się rozwija, poszerzając krąg swoich entuzjastów na całym świecie. Wbrew ogólnemu przekonaniu o negatywnym oddziaływaniu gier na człowieka, wiele produkcji ma duży wpływ na rozwój jednostki, poszerzając jej kompetencje i umiejętności. Tematem niniejszej pracy jest próba przybliżenia zagadnienia gier komputerowych oraz ukazanie możliwości wykorzystania ich w praktyce edukacyjnej. Zważając na powszechność użytkowania tego segmentu rozrywki osób w różnym wieku, należy zastanowić się jak wprowadzić gry komputerowe w przestrzeń szkolną, tak aby nie wprowadzając zakłóceń, wspomagały procesy dydaktyczne. Struktura pracy składa się z trzech rozdziałów. Pierwszy z nich przedstawia skróconą historię gier komputerowych oraz ich rodzaje. Zawarto tutaj również przegląd badań interdyscyplinarnych dotyczących tego segmentu rozrywki. Druga część pracy prezentuje wybrane przykłady zastosowania tego medium na różnych szczeblach szkolnictwa, a także w edukacji dorosłych. Ostatni rozdział przedstawia perspektywy rozwoju gier komputerowych oraz ich wykorzystanie w celach edukacyjnych, rozwijających umiejętności i kompetencje człowieka poza edukacją. W tej części został również poruszony wątek wyzwań dla nauczycieli, którzy chcą wykorzystać je w edukacji.

Impact of innovation policy on the development of entrepreneurship in the city

Opis:: This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the concept of innovation policy and its impact on the development of entrepreneurship. Therefore, the theoretical part presents the issue of innovation and innovation policy, describing its types, mechanisms, instruments, objectives and tools. The second issue discussed in the theoretical part is the characteristics of entrepreneurship entrepreneurialship its types, objectives and links with innovation policy and innovation. The second part of the paper is based on a description of the economic condition of the city of Kielce, whose profile is industrial and agricultural, and a discussion of the activities of the Technology Park Kielce as a centre of entrepreneurship in this region. From the presented research based on the interview, characteristics and influence of Technology Park Kielce on the city, we can see possible future barriers affecting the development of innovation. Nevertheless, the positive impact of innovation policy on the development of the economy of the entire region on the regional, national and international markets is clearly visible. The results of the conducted research are presented in the last, third chapter of the thesis.
Niniejsza praca jest poświęcona pojęciu polityki innowacyjnej oraz jej wpływu na rozwój przedsiębiorczości. W związku z tym część teoretyczna przedstawia zagadnienie innowacji oraz polityki innowacyjnej opisując jej rodzaje, mechanizmy, instrumenty, cele oraz narzędzia. Drugim zagadnieniem omówionym w części teoretycznej jest charakterystyka przedsiębiorczości, jej rodzaje, cele i powiązania z polityką innowacyjną oraz innowacjami. Druga część pracy zbudowana jest z opisu stanu gospodarczego miasta Kielce, którego profil jest przemysłowo- rolniczy oraz omówienia działań Kieleckiego Parku Technologicznego jako centrum przedsiębiorczości tego regionu. Z przedstawionych badań opierających się o wywiad, charakterystykę i wpływ Kieleckiego Parku Technologicznego na miasto spostrzega się możliwe w przyszłości bariery wpływające na rozwój innowacji. Mimo wszystko wyraźnie widać pozytywny wpływ polityki innowacyjnej na rozwój gospodarki całego regionu na tle regionalnym, państwowym, a także rynku międzynarodowym. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań są zaprezentowane w ostatnim, trzecim rozdziale pracy.

Opis:: Przez długie lata edukacja była tą dziedziną, w której obawiano się działań nowych, spontanicznych, a same przykłady innowacji zdarzały się niezbyt często. Niniejszy artykuł przedstawia wstępną ocenę programu nauczania przedmiotu uzupełniającego „Przyroda” do liceum i powstał jako efekt Projektu „Kształcenie Pełne Wyobraźni – KPW”. Projekt realizowany jest przez Wyższą Szkołę Europejską im. Ks. Józefa Tischnera w Krakowie. Celem głównym tego projektu jest podniesienie jakości kształcenia w czterech pilotażowych liceach ogólnokształcących woj. małopolskiego i śląskiego poprzez wdrożenie dwóch innowacyjnych programów nauczania w zakresie nauk matematyczno-przyrodniczych i humanistycznych wraz z upowszechnieniem opracowanych programów i materiałów dydaktycznych w skali całego kraju. Istotną cechą programu nauczania przyrody jest przedstawienie zagadnień w sposób interdyscyplinarny, aby uczniowie w sposób kompleksowy dostrzegali prezentowaną tematykę, jak również jego praktyczne (utylitarne) wykorzystanie (bez nadmiernego teoretyzowania) i aktualność poruszanych w nim zagadnień. Taka koncepcja nauczania przyrody pozwoli uczniom na rozwinięcie zainteresowań przedmiotami przyrodniczymi oraz zrozumienie i wykorzystanie nowoczesnych metod i osiągnięć badawczych stosowanych w naukach przyrodniczych.
For a long time education was a discipline in which spontaneous and not well-tested activities were feared and the attempts to introduce innovations were very rare. However, in recent years innovation in education has acquired a new meaning. Despite many critical remarks and debates on the process of introducing changes in education, the accepted solutions have contributed to the quality of didactic process. This paper presents the initial assessment of the syllabus of a supplementary subject – Natural Science – in upper secondary school. It stems from the project entitled Education full of Imagination, undertaken by the Tischner European University in Krakow. The main aim of the project is to improve the quality of education in four pilot upper secondary schools in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (Kraków) and Silesian Voivodeship (Katowice) implementing two innovative syllabuses in the fields of Science and Humanities. This project also aims at promoting the designed syllabuses and teaching materials in the whole country. The important feature of this syllabus is its interdisciplinary nature. Pupils should perceive the presented topics in a comprehensive manner. They should see its practical (utilitarian) application (without excessive theorizing) and its relevance to the latest achievements in science. Such a concept of teaching Natural Science will allow pupils to develop their interests in Natural Science subjects. They will understand and use modern methods and research achievements applied in Natural Science.
