Opis:
The program for the integration of children with special needs in the regular educational frameworks supports and encourages the integration of children with a variety of special needs, temporary or ongoing, within the context of regular education, and sees integration as both a goal and value. The integration program is operated through a training and treatment system in the educational frameworks, which were formulated according to the special needs of those students. With the increase in the trend towards integration in Israel and the expectation that this trend will grow in the future, it is essential to continue to explore teachers’ perceptions and attitudes regarding integration as well as their needs for training and continuing education. The Arab education system in general and the issue of caring for children with special needs in school, in particular, are at huge gaps. The purpose of this paper is to review the literature on mainstream teachers’ at- titudes towards integration and, more recently, inclusion and to show the need of design research on attitudes of teachers in schools in Arab society in Israel towards the integration of students with special needs into regular classes.

Opis:
The article demonstrates the expediency of integrating of knowledge of the structure and properties of substance and building materials. It is shown that this approach avoids duplication of related material, overcomes inconsistency in the interpretation of concepts, the use of quantities and units of their measurements. Didactic requirements for the implementation of the ideas of integrated learning of related material are substantiated, the integrated content of knowledge of the substance and materials is worked out, different forms and methods of knowledge integration are tested depending on the nature of the integrated material. Special feedback from teachers of special technology and masters of industrial training is received. The training offered by our programs also receives a positive assessment of the students due to the decrease in the workload, the reduction of homework with the same educational significance, the availability of special concepts, the emergence of interest in the study of physics. The experiment reveals that integrated lessons, lectures, laboratory and tests, as well as integrated questions, tasks with integrated content, concretization and supplementation of physical knowledge with general and special ones, use of complex tasks, etc. are found to be effective forms of knowledge integration. Generalization of the results of the experimental work shows the benefits of learning oriented programs that involve the integration of students’ knowledge about the structure and properties of substance and building materials. It is important not to overburden any educational process with excessive integration, but to focus on its optimal use: in fact, the laws of educational integrology are aimed at it.

In this article the author presents the theoretical references related to the integrationof people with disabilities. In particular, focuses on the notion of integration, the rights ofpersons with disabilities and integration in education. Also covers the results of pilot studiesthat confirm the fact that the integrated classes fulfill its function, namely, give a chance tothe full development of students with disabilities and the ability to establish their proper socialrelationships with healthy peers. The author has also proposed to treat society asa whole, without division into healthy and sick. That could help to disappear many of barriersfor all people and help them to be a full members of the same community.

Opis:
This paper investigates the issues of education and integration conditions for Vietnamese immigrants’ children in Poland. These points of interest were primarily treated as the additional research connected with our teaching practices. It was conducted as an empirical study with three non-standardised interviews with the families, informal observations, and group discussions. Regardless of the limitation of a perhaps not significantly substantial range of data, the study led to the outlining of some concerns connected with the process of education and integration of the children in these Vietnamese families. The main four findings which are related to the research question are: the cultural differences and expectations of the parents, the language barriers of the parents, the typical stereotypes of educating children at home, and the conflicts of self-identification in the future. The research implied that children from all the immigrant groups should be assessed as to their growth as well as to the quality of their adaptation into the society.

Opis:
Ecological orientation of economic education is aimed at solving the major task of the new stage of education development – overcoming the historical dissociation of two components of culture – natural-science and humanitarian – by their mutual enrichment and search of its integrity at the present stage of societal development. It represents a specific kind of education which provides formation of knowledge, skills, such as thinking and orientation of personality, based on understanding of interrelation and interdependence of a person’s economic activity and its consequences for nature and living conditions, as well as the need for its realization within the framework of ecological and economic balance.

Wojna na Ukrainie katalizatorem edukacji włączającej? Porównawcze studium przypadku Polski i Niemiec.
War in Ukraine as a catalyst for inclusive education? A comparative case study of Poland and Germany
Autorzy:
McLeod, Annabelle
Opis:
Za pomocą porównawczego studium przypadku (Polska i Niemcy), niniejszy artykuł ilustruje niektóre z wyzwań stojących przed państwami członkowskimi w zakresie wdrażania przepisów i zaleceń UE.
Inclusive education and intercultural competencies are vital to ensure all children can thrive in the globalised world, and to foster more cohesive, equitable, democratic societies. This paper unpacks the discursive environment in which educational practitioners must navigate within EU Member States. The paper critically analyses key EU policy recommendations for the “inclusion” of migrant and refugee children in schools, discussing the changes in approach guided by a narrative of “solidarity” in response to the “humanitarian crisis” following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. By means of a comparative case study (Poland and Germany), this paper illustrates some of the challenges Member States face in implementing EU regulations and recommendations. It demonstrates how unique experiences and histories shape the demographic and cultural landscape of countries, and how national narratives influence approaches to education and integration. The study aims to unpack how authorities address the holistic needs (learning, social and emotional) of displaced children, and critically analyse the commonalities and tensions between EU and national policies. As such, this paper reveals some of the complexities of EU efforts to harmonise policies and foster cooperation among member states, in particular, to develop a cohesive and sustainable approach to migration and asylum in Europe.

Opis:
This study explores the creation of identities and values and the social production of citizens in a Type II Schola Europaea institution. My analysis focuses on pupils’ patterns of identification and their system of values as are represented in their language use. In this analysis special attention is paid to students’ expressions of their relationship to the EU (European identity creation) and the values connected to the creation of social and political identities of the pupils. The linguistic investigation is performed by corpus-driven systemic-functional analysis of Transitivity processes and Appraisal. Based on Halliday’s system of transitivity 2 and Martin & White’s appraisal theory 3 the corpus-driven systemic-functional analytic approach is proven to be a highly effective instrument in exposing patterns of identification, values and self-positioning 4.Existing only for a few years, Type II Schola Europaea institutions are the latest development in the “Europeanization” of public education and they represent a new object of study. To date, no research has been conducted in this area from the perspective of applied linguistics, nor has any study focused on the “outcomes” produced by Schola Europaea institutions, such as the ways pupils in these schools express their social and political identities in their communication. Thus, the relevance of this research is that it provides new empirical information about the politics of identity construction, the dissemination of values and the potential of these unique institutions to create “European citizens”.

The number of students with migrant experiences at Polish schools is increasing. This group includes both foreign students and Polish students coming back from emigration together with their parents. They receive educational support in order to facilitate their adaptation and integration. Those students are taught how to communicate at school and study in Polish, which means that they are taught the language of school education. Teaching the language of school education can be located in between foreign language didactics and native language didactics. The article describes the relation between teaching Polish as a language of school education and teaching Polish as a foreign language. The most important aspect of teaching a foreign language is to prepare a learner to communicate in everyday life and professional life situations. Efficiency is essential here; language correctness is of secondary importance. The most important element in the process of teaching the language of education is to develop the language skills that will enable a student to communicate at school, gain new knowledge and use it effectively. It requires different educational content, teaching methodology and requirements. The article presents the reflection on teaching the language of education with reference to the Polish educational system. Keywords: language of education, a student with migrant experience in a family,

The main directions of digitalization of the education system are considered, the infrastructural and technological aspect of new strategic directions of development is analyzed. The author analyzed information systems and services in education, taking into account the possibility of using technologies for analytical data processing. The problem of using data analytics tools in education at present is the lack of uniform formats and tools for integrating information systems. Data in education accumulates in various solutions that do not share the results of the educational process. Based on this, it is impossible to build a clear system of end-to-end interaction between systems on common platforms. The author aims to solve this problem by modeling an integrated solution for data analysis at all levels of education. The article proposes technical and organizational solutions for the creation of integrated analytics services that allow accumulating and transmitting data on educational results during the transition of a student between learning levels. The analysis tools are based on the use of big data technologies.

Opis:
The article examines the position of Russians in Estonia and their relation with ethnic Estonians. The author analyzes models of the society integration introduced by Tallinn after 1991. The results raise questions regarding language education in Estonia, the proficiency level of Estonian is getting widely known by Russians, but on the other hand, there is still a significant part of the population that cannot communicate in Estonian. Those who have a good command of Estonian tend to be better integrated and to coexist with both Estonians and Russians. Russians living in Estonia are supposed to be equally involved in social and political life of the state. The potential of all residents has to be effectively and considerably used, especially when the number of population is decreasing. The position of Russians in Estonia is a major domestic and bilateral issue in the relations with the Russian Federation.
