Opis:: This paper is a presentation of the results of a questionnaire whose main aim was to get acquainted with the opinions of Ukrainians studying at Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Cracow University about their academic integration at the above mentioned university. In theoretical terms the article presented the deﬁ nition of integration, its various kinds, dimensions and factors. The study in question was conducted by means of an interview where the questions involved the following things: Are the respondents happy about studying in Poland? What difficulties do they encounter? What reactions do they get to their ethnic dissimilarity? How do they perceive Poles? What differences do they see between Poles and Ukrainians? It appeared that the respondents realized different models of integration, however the proposition being the result of the study is to create a lot of space for dialogue and integration for both Polish and Ukrainian students.

Opis:: The main aim of the paper is to present important factors influencing present and future shape of the European Union. Among many important factors three of them have been chosen: globalization, collapse of the Washington consensus, as well as the shift in the international order. Author tried to show in which way the impact of those factors influences different spheres of the EU, starting with the most important issues (like an optimal model of the European integration) and coming to the economic and social matters. It was underlined that this kind of influence is reciprocal – it means that the European Union has also possibilities to change interational situation, and its ability with this regard depends on the EU’s effectiveness and performance as an international organization.

Opis:: The article presents an analysis of the problems and prospects of relations between Russian Federation and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). These relationships are discussed in broader political context of Russia's relations with the European Union. The author believes that in conflict situations the both parties are responsible. As an optimal strategy the author examines the possibility of linking the integration processes in the Eurasian region – the so-called "integration of integrations", that can become a framework for interfacing the national interests of Russia and the EU's interests. A special role in the normalization of relations in Eurasia the CEE countries are devoted to play – CEE may become a bridge between Russia and Western Europe.
В статье представлен анализ проблем и перспектив отношений Российской Федерации и стран Центральной и Восточной Европы. Данные отношения рассматриваются в широком политическом контексте отношений России с Европейским Союзом. Автор полагает, что в ситуации конфликта ответственность несут обе стороны. В качестве оптимальной стратегии автор рассматривает возможности сопряжения интеграционных процессов на евра-зийском пространстве – так называемую «интеграцию интеграций», которая способна стать рамочным принципом сопряжения национальных интересов РФ и интересов стран ЕС. Особую роль в нормализации отношений в Евразии призваны сыграть страны ЦВЕ, которые могут стать моcтом между РФ и Западной Европой.

Opis:: Głównym celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie i analiza dotychczasowych działań polityki integracyjnej w Polsce z uwzględnieniem jej ewolucji oraz specyficznych uwarunkowań jak wewnętrznych tak i międzynarodowych w tym zwłaszcza unijnych. Również celem tej pracy jest wskazanie zalecanych zmian i perspektyw rozwoju tego rodzaju polityki wobec imigrantów. Niemniej ważnym celem pracy jest wskazanie tych wymiarów integracji, które najbardziej wymagają interwencji i działań polityki integracyjnej w przyszłości.Praca podzielona jest na dwie części. W pierwszej części pokazany jest ogólny zarys polityki integracyjnej w Europie, który jest niezbędny dla zrozumienia polityki integracyjnej jako całości. W podrozdziale pierwszym zostaną omówione definicje pojęć „integracja” oraz „polityka integracyjna”. Omówienie tych zagadnień jest szczególnie ważne dlatego że nie istnieje jednej oficjalnej definicji jak integracji tak i polityki integracyjnej, a ich znaczenie zmienia się w czasie i w zależności od kontekstu. Również w tym rozdziale zostanie pokazane podejście i rozumieniu pojęcia „integracji” w dorobku prawnym i politycznym Unii Europejskiej. Po tej części wprowadzająco-definicyjnej będą pokazane prototypowe na gruncie europejskim modele polityk integracyjnych i ich uwarunkowania historyczne: model asymilacji we Francji, model wielokulturowości w Wielkiej Brytanii oraz kiedyś bardzo popularny m.in. w Niemczech a teraz praktycznie już nie używany w Europie wykluczający model polityki integracyjnej. W podrozdziale trzecim zostanie omówiony wpływ inicjatyw i działań Unii Europejskiej w dziedzinie integracji imigrantów. W ostatniej części pierwszego rozdziału zaprezentowane będą poszczególne elementy i działania polityk integracyjnych krajów członkowskich UE, mających na celu ułatwienie koegzystencji imigrantów ze społeczeństwem przyjmującym w najważniejszych wymiarach integracji. Druga część pracy poświęcona jest ewolucji i specyfice polityki integracyjnej wobec imigrantów w Polsce. W pierwszym podrozdziale zostaną przedstawione najważniejsze grupy imigrantów w Polsce z uwzględnieniem ich najważniejszych potrzeb integracyjnych. Następnie omówione będą najważniejsze etapy rozwoju kształtowania się polityki integracyjnej w Polsce oraz jej aspekty formalno-prawne. Kolejny podrozdział poświęcony jest dotychczasowym działaniom polskiej polityki integracyjnej w najważniejszych wymiarach integracji imigrantów, a w następnym podrozdziale zostaną przedstawione działania wobec uchodźców i repatriantów, którzy są jedyna grupą imigrantów objętą kompleksowymi działaniami integracyjnymi w Polsce. Ostatni podrozdział poświecony jest analizie zalecanych działań oraz wskazanych kierunków rozwoju polityki integracyjnej w Polsce. Zostaną przedstawione opinii ekspertów i badaczy zajmujących się tą kwestią. Całość zakończy krótka refleksja podsumowująca pracę.
The main aim of this paper is to present and analyze the current activities of integration policy in Poland, including its evolution and the specific circumstances such as internal and international and especially European Union. Also, the objective of this work is to identify the recommended changes and prospects for the development of these policies towards immigrants. However, an important goal of this work is to identify the dimensions of integration that most need intervention and integration policy in future. The paper is divided into two parts. The first part shows the general outline of the integration policy in Europe, which is necessary for an understanding of the integration policy as a whole. The first section will discuss the definitions of "integration" and "integration policy". Discussion of these issues is especially important because there is no one official definition of how such integration and integration policies and their meanings change over time and depending on the context. Also in this section will be shown the approach and understanding of the concept of 'integration' in the legal and political achievements of the European Union. After this definition part will be shown on the basis of European models of integration policies and their historical background: the model of assimilation in France, the model of multiculturalism in the UK and once very popular among others in Germany and now almost no longer used in Europe excluding model of integration policy. The third section will discuss the impact of the initiatives and activities of the European Union for the integration of immigrants. In the last part of the first chapter will be presented various elements and activities of integration policies of EU member states, aimed at facilitating the coexistence of immigrants into the host society in the most important dimensions of integration. The second part is devoted to the evolution and specificity of integration policies towards immigrants in Poland. The first section will be presented to the most important groups of immigrants in Poland in terms of their most important needs for integration. Then they discussed the most important stages in the development of integration policy formation in Poland and the formal and legal aspects. The next section is devoted to the current activities of Polish integration policy in key dimensions of the integration of immigrants, and in the next section will set out the actions to refugees and returnees, who are the only group of immigrants covered by the comprehensive integration activities in Poland. The last section is devoted to the analysis of the recommended actions and indicated directions of integration policy in Poland. Will be presented to the opinion of experts and researchers dealing with this issue. The whole end short reflection summarizing the work.

Opis:: EU has presented five scenarios from which only one can be used as a guideline for the future path of European integration. None of the five scenarios has been selected as the one that will be followed in the future since the time they were shown to the public in March 2017. EU documents indicate that preferences are clear and “Europe plans to do more and together with all”. A similar situation is indicated by the context of closer cooperation between NATO and the EU. Nevertheless such a choice does not seem to get the uphold as far as the political situation in most of the EU states shows. The aim of this article is to present the conditions that will be used as a starting point for the formulation of three possible scenarios: most probable, pessimistic and optimistic.

Opis:: A variety of reference models such as CMMI, COBIT or ITIL support IT organizations to improve their processes. These process improvement reference models (IRMs) cover different domains such as IT development, IT Services or IT Governance but also share some similarities. As there are organizations that address multiple domains and need to coordinate their processes in their improvement we present MoSaIC, an approach to support organizations to efficiently adopt and conform to multiple IRMs. Our solution realizes a semantic integration of IRMs based on common meta-models. The resulting IRM integration model enables organizations to efficiently implement and asses multiple IRMs and to benefit from synergy effects.

Opis:: The main goal of this work is the integration of in-house software with commercial numerical software based on the finite element method (FEM). The main idea is to develop a universal interface to perform process simulations with multiscale models. The interface allows the combination of external procedures with commercial software with minimum programmer’s work putting in integration. As an example, the model of material recrystallization of steel was implemented, added to the commercial application, and the software was tested for a process defined as a sequence of compression and cooling. The material model takes into consideration each type of recrystallization that occurs during a sequence of thermal and mechanical processing such as static recrystallization (SRX), dynamic recrystallization (DRX), and meta-dynamic recrystallization (MDRX). It allows the prediction of recrystallized volume fraction (X) and grain growth on each step of numerical simulation for each Gauss point in the computation domain. The presented multiscale model of process sequences not only allows to calculate microscale model parameters such as grain growth and recrystallized volume fraction, but also reflects the impact of the microscale model on macroscale parameters.

"The Union's not so black as it's painted"? : the state of the European integration and the future of the European Union in the eyes of Poles : the qualitative analysis

Opis:: Debate on Polish membership in the European Union has started almost immediately after 1989. Closer to the membership negotiations and enlargement – it became more concrete even though concentrated predominantly on the conditions of membership. Even after the membership the debate on the European integration concentrated on the benefits and costs of membership. Secondly, the impact of the integration on functioning of Polish – still young and fragile – democracy in Poland was debated. Thirdly, the axiological dimension of the debate focuses on how the European integration will impact the value system in Poland. There was only little interest of the future of integration, and the debate rather focused on what would be the benefits for the country. The main aim of this article is to present how today – ten years after the enlargement – issues connected with the European integration are debated by the ordinary citizens. The special focus will be put on how they perceive the future of the European integration in the context of economic crisis in Europe.
