Opis:
Background: Integrity involves adherence to a set of moral principles and the courage to act on those principles. In clinical psychology and other health professions, consideration of integrity ensures that the upmost care and respect is given to all- regardless of individual background or mental health condition. However, despite the salience of integrity in clinical practice, it is frequently neglected in the literature. Thus, the main aim of the present study was to test a theoretical model and investigate the use of integrity assessments in clinical populations. Subjects and Methods: Participants (N=80) were assessed using the Structured Interview of Personality Organization (STIPO), self-reports and simulated cheating task. Results: Statistical analysis revealed that age, as well as agreeableness; conscientiousness, impression management, moral values and dark triad traits, accounted for 63% of the variance with age and impression management as significant predictors. Integrity was a predictor for cheating at work (Adj. R2 = 0.41), unethical work behavior (Adj. R2 = 0.27) and simulated cheating task (Adj. R2 = 0.07). Conclusions: The results of the study suggest the possibility of using integrity tests in mood disorders with a moderate level of mood and anxiety impairments.

Opis:
As organizations grow more complex in operation and more global in scope, assets and technical integrity become key success factors. A company's asset integrity business process needs to be mapped in order to 1) provide a proper overview of operation and business processes, 2) identify all critical interfaces and 3) ensure that all gaps and overlap in processes are eliminated. Achieving asset integrity requires companies to sustain their activities and identify the hazards, weaknesses and objectives of their strategic assets. Technical integrity emphasizes a complete overview of technical conditions and related information, and the ability of the companies to document the technical state of its assets. It is based on an integrated view of the current state of operations, and the identification of all critical interfaces, in order to ensure that all gaps and unnecessary overlaps in processes are eliminated. Companies look increasingly at their asset integrity management system as a means to extend the life of their assets, beyond the original design conditions and production capacity. Establishing an asset integrity management system requires the documentation of the company’s technical integrity management, a strategy and the processes for carrying it out, identifying gaps; selecting corrective interventions and conducting follow up actions. The paper will discuss various aspects of asset integrity management, including its planning and implementation. We begin with an introduction to asset technical integrity, provide some theoretical backgrounds, present a model we call 5C and conclude with a summary and discussion.

Opis:
The subject of the text is the use of role models in building an academic culture of research integrity. We present some possible ways of involving them in teaching and promoting research integrity at universities. The acquired empirical results concern the qualities of a scientist worthy of emulation indicated by undergraduates, postgraduates and PhD students. The qualitative analysis of the collected data enabled us to describe two profiles of a good scientist: an accessible one, who sets an example to his/her mentees in a direct relationship, and a distant one, admired because of his/her work ethos and outstanding achievements. The research was conducted as an online survey in 2020 as part of the project

Opis:
Out of the four constitutional audit criteria, on the basis of which NIK assesses the activity of audited entities, there is not much literature dedicated to integrity. The available literature usually provides a lexical definition of integrity only, emphasises its symbolic nature or presents it as a criterion that is inferior to legality and efficacy. The attempts that have been made to interpret the criterion of integrity do not refer to the practical interpretation that dates back to 1949. Whereas NIK, due to the lack of a legal definition, frequently used its right to define the standards of behaving with integrity in an authoritative manner. In his article, the author emphasises the importance of NIK’s defining of integrity in the non-legal and normative context, as well as presents the results of analyses of audit statements from seven Regional Branches of NIK, which prove that the interpretations adopted do not always fall into the available understanding of the notion of integrity.

Opis:
The author presents an integral vision of a human being as the foundation for understanding vocation and respect for life. It emphasizes the truths: man as a body and spirit being; the dignity and worth of every person created in the image and likeness of God; the vocation to love, i.e. the ability to give oneself as a gift. As a source for reflection, it is the light of God’s truth found in the Holy Scriptures and in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The author shows the socio-cultural problems related to the lack of respect for human values that are taking place today. It presents the necessity of catechesis in social life, which is to respond with faith to human existence. It presents the problems posed by the world and the response of catechetical content to particular threats.

Opis:
Alienated morality. Bernard Williams’ critique of utilitarianism: The paper aims at reconstructing Bernard Williams’ critique of utilitarianism, in order to show that it is primarily motivated by the British philosopher’s opposition to this theory’s understanding of the relationship between the agent and her actions. After discussing Williams’ arguments against what he sees as the oversimplified moral psychology of utilitarianism, and his doubts regarding the coherence between utilitarian objectives and utilitarian methods, the paper will focus on his “argument form integrity”. As we will see, it allows Williams to question utilitarianism’s ability to account for the relationship between the identity of the agent and her actions, and as a result, deny the effectiveness of the notion of utility as a source of moral motivation.
