Opis:: In this work we investigate integro-differential initial value problems with Riemann Liouville fractional derivatives where the forcing function is a sum of an increasing function and a decreasing function. We will apply the method of lower and upper solutions and develop two monotone iterative techniques by constructing two sequences that converge uniformly and monotonically to minimal and maximal solutions. In the first theorem we will construct two natural sequences and in the second theorem we will construct two intertwined sequences. Finally, we illustrate our results with an example.

Opis:: The Cauchy integral method has been applied to derive exact and closed expressions for Goursat's functions for the first and second fundamental problems for an infinite thermoelastic plate weakened by a hole having arbitrary shape. The plate considered is conformally mapped to the area of the right half-plane. Many previous discussions of various authors can be considered as special cases of this work. The shape of the hole being an ellipse, a crescent, a triangle, or a cut having the shape of a circular arc are included as special cases.

Opis:: This article is concerned with the study of the Borel summability of divergent power series solutions for certain singular first-order linear partial differential equations of nilpotent type. Our main purpose is to obtain conditions which coefficients of equations should satisfy in order to ensure the Borel summability of divergent solutions. We will see that there is a close affinity between the Borel summability of divergent solutions and global analytic continuation properties for coefficients of equations.

Opis:: A three-dimensional problem of frictionless contact interaction of a periodic two-layered elastic half-space and a rigid foudation with a local sloping surface recess is examined. The analysis is performed within the framework of a homogenized model with microlocal parameters. By constructing appropriate harmonic functions, the resulting boundary-value problem is reducet to some mixed problem of the potential theory. In dealing with its solution, the integro-differential singular equation of Newton's potential type for the function of gap height is obtained. To determine the unknown region of the gap the condition of smooth running of its faces is used. As an example, a certain form of the initial defect is considered and in this case the solution of the equation is found analytically by using an analogue of Dyson's theorem.
W pracy rozważono trójwymiarowe zagadnienie ściskania prowadzące do jednostronnego kontaktu bez tarcia periodycznie dwuwarstwowej półprzestrzeni sprężystej ze sztywnym podłożem zawierającym lokalny defekt (gładkie niewielkie wgłębienie). Zastosowano przybliżone podejście opata na zhomogenizowanym modelu z parametrami lokalnymi. Wynikające zagadnienie brzegowe sformułowano w postaci mieszanego problemu teorii potencjału, który sprowadzono do osobliwego równania całkowo-różniczkowego na głębokość defektu z nieznaną powierzchnią kontaktu. Dla szczególnego kształtu wgłębienia uzyskano jego rozwiązanie z użyciem analogu twierdzenia Dysona.

Opis:: A method of optimal control problems investigation for linear partial integro-differential equations of convolution type is proposed, when control process is carried out by boundary functions and right hand side of equation. Using Fourier real generalized integral transform control problem solution is reduced to minimization procedure of chosen optimality criterion under constraints of equality type on desired control function. Optimality of control impacts is obtained for two criteria, evaluating their linear momentum and total energy. Necessary and sufficient conditions of control problem solvability are obtained for both criteria. Numerical calculations are done and control functions are plotted for both cases of control process realization.

Opis:: A periodic two-layered elastic containing an interface defect filled with a barotropic compressible fluid is considered. At infinity, the composite is subjected to a uniformly distributed load applied perpendicularly to the layering. Faces of the defect are under action of constant internal fluid pressure. An approximate solution to this problem is given within a certain homogenized model. The resulting singular integro-differential equation is obtained and solved for two types of defects by using an analogue of Dyson's theorem. The influence of the filler on the mechanical behaviour of the considered body is analysed and illustrated graphically.
W pracy rozważono zagadnienie periodycznej dwuwarstwowej przestrzeni zawierającej defekt na granicy warstw, który wypełniony jest ściśliwym płynem. Zakłada się, że kompozyt jest pod działaniem stałego obciążenia w nieskończoności prostopadłego do uwarstwienia, a powierzchnie defektu są pod wpływem stałego i nieznanego wewnętrznego ciśnienia płynu. Analizowany problem sprowadza się w ramach pewnego zhomogenizowanego modelu do poszukiwania rozwiązania osobliwego równania całkowo-różniczkowego. Wyniki otrzymano dla dwóch typów defektu z użyciem analogu twierdzenia Dysona. Zbadano i zilustrowano wpływ wypełniacza defektu na mechaniczne zachowanie rozważanego ciała.

Opis:: We study the contribution of variable surface effects to the antiplane deformation of a linearly elastic material with a mode-III crack. The surface elasticity is incorporated using a modified version of the continuum based surface/interface model of Gurtin and Murdoch. In our discussion, the surface moduli are not constant but vary along the crack surfaces. Using Green’s function method, the problem is reduced to a single first-order Cauchy singular integro-differential equation, which is solved numerically using Chebyshev polynomials and a collocation method. Our results indicate that the gradient of the surface shear modulus exerts a significant influence on the crack opening displacement and on the singular stress field at the crack tips.
