Opis:: Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration offer great potential for the future of corporate automation and increased productivity. RPA rapidly evolves into Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) by incorporating advanced technologies and capabilities beyond simple task automation. The paper aims to identify the organisational, technological, and human-centred challenges that companies face in transitioning from RPA to IPA. The research process involved conducting the scientific literature search using the ResearchRabbit AI tool, which provided a set of reference papers relevant to the formulated research questions. As a result of the conducted literature review, the authors identified key challenges and possible countermeasures for companies transitioning from RPA to IPA. The resulting collection of reference scientific articles formed the basis for this study’s content and substantive analysis. Furthermore, this study contributes by identifying artificial intelligence techniques and algorithms, such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), predictive analytics, and others, that can be integrated with RPA to facilitate the transition to IPA. The paper also offers insights into potential future research areas.

Tytuł:: The Impact of Modern Process Automation on the Labour Market.
Wpływ współczesnej automatyzacji procesów na rynek pracy.

Opis:: The paper evaluates the impact of modern process automation on the labour market. For years, there have been concerns about the negative effects of mechanization and automation for human. Although no disasters have been observed so far, similar opinions are invariably present. In the paper, it was decided to compare modern technologies: robotic process automation and intelligent automation to the historical trend of replacing human work by machines. Based on a theoretical analysis of available data and literature, similarity of processes and probability of continuation of evolutionary changes were found - job shift, real wage increase and working time shortening in the absence of a significant increase in the unemployment rate. The work is an assessment of the current situation and an attempt to predict its effects.
Praca ocenia wpływ współczesnej automatyzacji procesów na rynek pracy. Od lat pojawiają się obawy związane z negatywnym skutkiem mechanizacji i automatyzacji dla człowieka. Choć do tej pory nie obserwowano związanej z nimi katastrofy, to podobne zdania są niezmiennie obecne. W pracy zdecydowano porównać współczesne technologie: zrobotyzowaną automatyzację procesów i inteligentną automatyzację do znanego z historii trendu zastępowania pracy ludzkiej przez maszyny. Opierając się na teoretycznej analizie dostępnych danych i literatury stwierdzono podobieństwo procesów i prawdopodobieństwo kontynuacji ewolucyjnych zmian - przesunięcia miejsc pracy, wzrostu realnego wynagrodzenia i skrócenia czasu pracy, przy braku wyraźnego wzrostu stopy bezrobocia. Praca jest oceną aktualnej sytuacji i próbą przewidzenia jej skutków.

Opis:: Purpose: The aim of the study was to find out how automation is perceived by representatives of the companies from the Modern Business Services Sector (MBSS) in Poland. Research questions were posed, which referred to the assessment of the importance of automation and the readiness of companies to implement it. Design/methodology/approach: The answers were obtained on the basis of the realisation of 20 individual in-depth interviews - conducted among representatives of various companies from the MBSS. Findings: Participants in the study positively assessed the importance of automation in the operation of their companies, particularly from the perspective of maintaining competitiveness and keeping up with economic trends. Respondents declared a high level of readiness to implement work automation systems and programmes, although only a small proportion of the companies represented were actually taking any action in this regard. Both organisational culture, company resources and customer demand were identified as key facilitators of automation. In contrast, customer relationships and insufficient company resources were the most important barriers. Originality/value: There is an insufficient amount of scientific studies on factors supporting and blocking the introduction of automation in MBSS enterprises in Poland. Due to the fact that the conclusions from foreign literature do not allow for generalisation to enterprises in Poland, the overarching aim of the work presented in this article is to fill the gap in the literature concerning factors supporting and blocking the introduction of automation in MBSS enterprises in Poland.

Opis:: The article deals with the features and characteristics of intelligent systems for modelling business processes. Their classification was made and criteria for comparison were developed. According to the comparative analysis of existing expert systems for intelligent analysis, a reasonable choice of system for modelling business processes of a particular enterprise has been carried out. In general, it was found that the introduction of intelligent systems for modelling business processes of the enterprise and forecasting its activities for future allows management of the company to obtain relevant and necessary information for the adoption of effective management decisions and the development of a strategic plan.

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie wyników analiz teoretyczno-empirycznych funkcjonalności platform cyfrowych inteligentnej robotyzacji i ich wpływu na sposób realizacji procesów rachunkowości. Badania polegały na przeglądzie literatury oraz studium wybranej platformy inteligentnej robotyzacji procesu od faktury do płatności. Analiza wykazała, że platformy cyfrowej inteligentnej robotyzacji procesów stanowią sprzyjające środowisko technologiczne dla rozwoju tzw. hybrydowej rachunkowości. Hybrydowa rachunkowość obejmuje zbiory informacji odwzorowujących działalność gospodarczą, które są zasilane i użytkowane jednocześnie przez ludzi i boty. Przejmowanie przez boty ulokowane na platformie cyfrowej określonych czynności wykonywanych do tej pory przez specjalistów z zakresu rachunkowości sprzyja także trendom zmian określanym jako rachunkowość danych surowych, rachunkowość w czasie rzeczywistym, rachunkowość autonomiczna oraz rachunkowość rozszerzona. Identyfikacja tej ostatniej tendencji stanowi oryginalny wkład w badania naukowe z zakresu transformacji cyfrowej rachunkowości.
The aim of this paper is to present the results of theoretical and empirical analyses of the functionality of C-RPA digital platforms and their impact on accounting processes. The research covers a literature review, as well as a study of a selected cognitive robotic process automation platform for the "invoice to payment" process. The analysis showed that C-RPA digital platforms constitute a favourable technological environment for the development of so-called hybrid accounting, which refers to a business information system that is simultaneously supported and used by humans and bots. The replacement of specific activities previously performed by accounting professionals by bots located on the digital platform also favours trends in changes referred to as raw data accounting, real-time accounting, autonomous accounting, and augmented accounting, of which identification of the latter trend constitutes an original contribution to the digital transformation of the accounting research area.
