Opis:: The Internet of Things (IOT) is presently a fast catching paradigm in which the everyday objects are manufactured with essential capabilities such sensing, networking and processing. These capabilities enable them to communicate with one another and with other devices and services over the Internet to complete some objective. One of the most important issues is security. When devices are given the freedom to talk to each other, then there are immense possibilities of misuse. In this paper, we propose a secure communication approach for device-to-device communication. It is an Identity-based encryption approach which includes revocation of keys if misuse is detected. The proposed method takes into consideration the high probability of misuse and hence malicious devices are identified and eliminated. This paper presents the design of the proposed approach along with a first level implementation using Java and MsAccess.

Opis:: In this study, the author focuses his attention on two main aspects. In the theoretical part, he presents a definition of the concept of "Internet of Things" based on the selection of the most cited sources. In the second part, a bibliometric analysis was carried out, which aims to indicate the development of the concept of "Internet of Things" in contemporary literature, and to find an answer to the question: to what extent is this term used in the area of business, economics and management? The analysis is based on the Web of Science and SCOPUS databases, and the results were modeled using CiteSpace and VOSviewer (Visualizing Scientific Landscpaes) computer programs. The conducted research is to indicate a research gap that has not been sufficiently covered by studies in the field of management concerning the indicated concept so far.
W niniejszym opracowaniu Autor skupia swoją uwagę na dwóch głównych aspektach. W części teoretycznej przedstawia definicyjne ujęcie pojęcia „Internet rzeczy” w oparciu o wybór najczęściej cytowanych źródeł. W części drugiej przeprowadzona została analiza bibliometryczna, która ma na celu wskazanie rozwoju pojęcia „Internet rzeczy” we współczesnej literaturze oraz znaleźć odpowiedź na pytanie: w jakim stopniu termin ten jest wykorzystywany w obszarze biznesu ekonomii i zarządzania? Analiza prowadzona jest w oparciu o bazy Web of Science oraz SCOPUS, a wyniki zostały modelowane za pomocą programów komputerowych CiteSpace oraz VOSviewer (Visualizing Scientific Landscpaes). Prowadzone badanie ma za zadanie wskazać lukę badawczą, która dotychczas nie została wystarczająco zagospodarowana opracowaniami z zakresu zarządzania dotyczącymi wskazanego pojęcia.

Opis:: Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is a rapidly growing field, where interconnected devices and systems are used to improve operational efficiency and productivity. However, the extensive connectivity and data exchange in the IIoT environment make it vulnerable to cyberattacks. Intrusion detection systems (IDS) are used to monitor IIoT networks and identify potential security breaches. Feature selection is an essential step in the IDS process, as it can reduce computational complexity and improve the accuracy of the system. In this research paper, we propose a hybrid feature selection approach for intrusion detection in the IIoT environment using Shapley values and a genetic algorithm-based automated preprocessing technique which has three automated steps including imputation, scaling and feature selection. Shapley values are used to evaluate the importance of features, while the genetic algorithm-based automated preprocessing technique optimizes feature selection. We evaluate the proposed approach on a publicly available dataset and compare its performance with existing state-of-the-art methods. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach outperforms existing methods, achieving high accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The proposed approach has the potential to enhance the performance of IDS in the IIoT environment and improve the overall security of critical industrial systems.

Opis:: The article includes the description of the current development of the Internet of Things (IoT) in Poland with special consideration of the society’s awareness of the IoT. In the recent years, the Internet of Things has been gaining an increasing number of supporters. The interest in this topic of many corporations from the discipline of IT and state-of-the-art technologies is especially important in this scope. The market observation in the recent years has shown that the IoT may become a widespread technology in many homes, which is why it is important to build awareness of the IoT among the Poles. The conducted survey studies were aimed at verifying the current state of the Polish society’s knowledge about the IoT, which is presented in this article. The article also includes the description of possible future implementations of the IoT and characterisation of the correlation between the IoT and other rapidly developing technologies.
W artykule opisano dotychczasowy rozwój Internetu rzeczy (IoT) w Polsce ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem świadomości społeczeństwa o IoT. Internet rzeczy w okresie ostatnich lat zdobywa coraz to większe grono zwolenników. Szczególnie istotne jest w tym zakresie zainteresowanie się tą tematyką przez wiele koncernów ze świata IT oraz nowoczesnych technologii. Jak wynika z obserwacji rynku na przestrzeni kilku lat IoT może stać się powszechną technologią w wielu domach w związku z powyższym ważne jest budowanie świadomości o IoT wśród Polaków. Prowadzone badania ankietowe miały za zadanie zweryfikować obecny stan wiedzy społeczeństwa w Polsce odnośnie IoT, co przedstawiono w niniejszym artykule. W artykule opisano także możliwe implementacje w przyszłości odnośnie IoT, a także scharakteryzowano korelacje IoT z innymi technologiami dynamicznie się rozwijającymi.

In the article was defined the cyberspace and its influence on the possibility of the social needs satisfaction, the approval and the personal fulfilment of the human being. There was described the special role of the Internet of things and its sophisticated form which are the social internet of things in the creative processes organised by persons. In order to define the influence which may have the developed tools of communication with other factors in the webside, there were presented conclusions coming from the other researches conducted on the employees of the company Argos Ltd. and the influence on the work using voice systems.

The topic of the master thesis is mobile application to manage smart home dedicated to Android platform. In fact project includes two applications. First, prototype, is responsible for managing all devices connected to controller and collecting current data of nearby area. Second, client application, provides remote controlling of prototype application from around the world. The project was created in cutting-edge technologies such as: Kotlin, Firebase, Android Things, Android SDK.

Opis:: The Internet of Things solutions in addition to their most popular consumer use in the form of smartphones, smart watches and many smart home solutions have the potential to be used in a production environment for more effective work. Due to the number of processes taking place in such enterprises and the multitude of tools used, the possibilities of implementing such solutions are unlimited. Taking the example of the types of waste that occur in enterprises as detailed in the process of the development of the Lean Management concept, the authors of the article point to the possible use of the Internet of Things tools while eliminating waste, which reduces costs and creates a competitive advantage of the company. The considerations presented in the article were presented on the basis of conducted literature research and using such research methods as case analysis, direct participation of the authors in the selected cases and co-participating in observations.
Rozwiązania Internet of Things, oprócz swojego najpopularniejszego, konsumenckiego wykorzystania w postaci np. smartfonów, inteligentnych zegarków oraz wielu rozwiązań z zakresu inteligentnego domu, mogą być wykorzystywane w środowisku produkcyjnym do efektywniejszego wykonywania pracy. Ze względu na liczbę zachodzących w takich przedsiębiorstwach procesów i stosowanych narzędzi możliwości tego typu rozwiązań są nieograniczone. Biorąc za przykład wyszczególnione w procesie rozwoju koncepcji Lean Management rodzaje marnotrawstwa w przedsiębiorstwach, autorzy artykułu wskazują na możliwe zastosowanie narzędzi Internetu Rzeczy do ich eliminacji, co wpływa na redukcję kosztów i tworzenie przewagi konkurencyjnej przedsiębiorstwa. Zaprezentowane w artykule rozważania przedstawione zostały na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań litera- turowych oraz przy wykorzystaniu takich metod badawczych, jak analiza przypadków, bezpośredni udział autora w identyfikowanych przypadkach, a także obserwacji współuczestni- czących.

Opis:: The Internet of Things is changing the approach to data transmission, protocol design and network services. The challenge faced by designers of IoT solutions is to determine the scalability of a given technology, with a particular emphasis placed on unlicensed frequency bandwidth (ISM) transmission in highly urbanized areas. Because the design and implementation of a wireless network for the Internet of Things, relying on each of the presented technologies, is expensive and time consuming, it must be preceded by a performance assessment based on computer simulations. The literature contains various approaches to modeling the mechanisms of the MAC layer of LoRa technology and to its implementation in LoRaWAN networks. The article provides an overview of major LoRa MAC network simulators. It presents and comments on the most important research results obtained by the authors of the aforementioned software.
