Opis:
As the Thai people have been more aware of the importance of volunteering, the structure of volunteer activities in the country’s hospitals has become more complicated. As a result, medical personnel and volunteer organizations have faced challenges in connecting people with the activities most relevant to concerns and needs. In order to assist the host parties as well as individual volunteers, a system that can match the personal characteristics of volunteers to the demands of the activities needs to be developed. As a starting point, multidimensional scaling was used in this study to reveal a working structure for volunteer activities by exploring major dimensions underlying the similarity and dissimilarity between these activities. Twenty-three volunteer activities proposed by a panel of experts and stakeholders were subject to an ordinal (non-metric) multidimensional scaling. All but one volunteer activity can be grouped along three dimensions: hospital-related, lecturing versus group leading, and empathic communication. These three dimensions can serve as a blueprint for identifying personal characteristics that may be essential to each activity and for designing a system for volunteer recruitment and placement.

Wartościowanie stanowisk pracy jako element systemu wynagrodzeń na przykładzie firmy Folwex Sp. z o. o.

The main purpose of this work was to estimate the degree of difficulty of work on individual positions in the transport company Folwex Sp. z o. o. The aim of the work was also to present various methods of job evaluation and to indicate the directions of changes in determining the value of work. The theoretical part was created based on the analysis of the available literature on the remuneration system and the process of job analysis, as well as the methods and techniques used in this area. The research was conducted in March 2023 and covered 21 different positions in the audited company. The assumed aim of the work was achieved using the UMEWAP-2000 job evaluation method through conducting interviews and analyzing the available documentation. The results of the research indicate that the adopted method is effective for determining the value of positions in a transport company and allows for determining the basic salary according to the developed wage scale. The results of the research made it possible to identify training needs for individual departments and positions. They also provided valuable insight into the characteristics of work in individual departments of the company. The analysis of the research made it possible to indicate further actions for decision-makers in the company that would help in improving the remuneration and motivation systems in the company.
Głównym celem niniejszej pracy było oszacowanie stopnia trudności pracy na poszczególnych stanowiskach w przedsiębiorstwie transportowym Folwex Sp. z o. o. Celem pracy było również zaprezentowanie różnych metod wartościowania stanowisk pracy oraz wskazanie kierunków zmian w określaniu wartości pracy. Część teoretyczna powstała na podstawie analizy dostępnej literatury dotyczącej systemu wynagradzania oraz procesu analizy stanowisk pracy oraz stosowanych metod i technik w tym zakresie. Proces badawczy został zrealizowany w marcu 2023 roku i objął 21 różnych stanowisk w wybranej firmie. Przyjęty cel pracy został zrealizowany z wykorzystaniem metody wartościowania pracy UMEWAP-2000 poprzez przeprowadzenie wywiadów i analizę dostępnej dokumentacji. Rezultaty badań wskazują, że przyjęta metoda jest skuteczna dla określenia wartości stanowisk w firmie transportowej i umożliwia określenie wynagrodzeń zasadniczych według opracowanego taryfikatora płacowego. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań pozwoliły zidentyfikować potrzeby szkoleniowe dla poszczególnych działów oraz stanowisk. Poznano również cechy pracy w poszczególnych działach firmy. Udało się również wskazać dalsze działania dla decydentów w firmie, pozwalające na usprawnienie obecnych systemów wynagradzania i motywowania pracowników.

The objectives of this study were to examine the agreement between 5 ergonomic risk assessment methods calculated on the basis of quantitative exposure measures and to examine the ability of the methods to correctly classify 4 at risk jobs. Surface electromyography and electrogoniometry were used to record the physical exposures of 87 sawmill workers performing 4 repetitive jobs. Five ergonomic risk assessment tools (rapid upper limb assessment [RULA], rapid entire body assessment [REBA], American conference of governmental industrial hygienist’s threshold limit value for mono-task hand work [ACGIH TLV], strain index [SI], and concise exposure index [OCRA]) were calculated. Dichotomization of risk to no risk and at risk resulted in high agreement between methods. Percentage of perfect agreement between methods when 3 levels of risk were considered was moderate and varied by job. Of the methods examined, the RULA and SI were best (correct classification rates of 99 and 97% respectively). The quantitative ACGIH-TLV for mono-task hand work and Borg scale were worst (misclassification rates of 86 and 28% respectively).

The objective of job analysis is to collect information on tasks, methods, duties, rights and connections to other horizontally and diagonally related positions within organisational structure, as well as to get information on the need and level of physical and psychical dispositions of the employee who will occupy the given position. It is subsequently necessary to evaluate collected information from the viewpoint of present needs and strategy of the organisation and, what many organisations forget about, from the viewpoint of present technologies which can not only significantly facilitate work but also decrease its time demand. Collected information needs to be summarized in the form of job description and specification of requirements on the given employee, and its implementation in performance of the given work thus needs to be ensured. This article describe, whether and in what extent organisations operating in Slovakia and in the Czech Republic focus on job analysis.

The aim of this study was to determine biomechanical loads and subjective stresses on lumber graders and associated morbidity in a high risk and repetitive sawmill occupation. The exposures of all 29 male sawmill worker volunteers were recorded. Motion and posture were studied with electrogoniometers, muscle loads were recorded with surface electromyography, and psychophysical stresses were assessed with subjective responses. Fifty-nine percent of the participants reported greater than moderate discomfort in their taskdominant upper extremity. Job performance required an average range of motion of 44º, 21º, and 52º in flexion/extension, radial/ulnar deviations, and pronation/supination respectively. It also required an average of 9% maximum voluntary contraction force and was repeated an average of 34 times/min. This repetitive exertion over an 8-h shift was deemed to be a significant risk factor associated with prevalent upper extremity morbidity.

During the past 20 years of research in occupational safety and health (OSH), major contributions have been made by psychology in general, foremost German work and organizational psychology. This is the result of an empirical study with 216 scientific projects that were analyzed by content, and 32 interviews on OSH with experts on science, as well as in professional occupations and federations. Its sound methodological and theoretical approach has helped work and organizational psychology to embody itself as a driving force of OSH. The research focuses on the development of tools for job analysis, striving for the valid diagnosis of occupational hazards and mental load. Consequently, work and organizational psychology provides a solid foundation for deriving human and personality ameliorating organizational measures. Among the predominant means of intervention are training in coping with stress, behavioral training and modeling, health circles, and the arrangement of environments sensitive to occupational load. Major deficits in the field of research show up within evaluation and transfer as well as within quality control of the developed diagnostic and devices regarding intervention. Future scientific effort by means of application-orientated methods is vital to detect and overcome effectively a mounting mental load in the occupational world.

Analysing the employees’ competencies is relevant both from the organisation’s and individuals’ perspective, because it allows – for example – to predict emerging competency gaps in organisations, design training offers tailored to the organisation’s needs and employees’ expectations, or to better match people’ professional tasks with organisational culture. One of the methods for obtaining information about competence requirements is the analyse of job advertisements published by the selected employers. This article focuses on the competence requirements set by employers representing cultural organisations. Its purpose is to showcase the competencies expected from the staff of cultural institutions in Poland from the perspective of job advertisements. The article presents the results of the analysis of 127 job advertisements published on the “Pracuj w Kulturze” webiste from the 31st of January to the 1st of February 2022. The analysis included the requirements regarding the following: knowledge (both formal and non-formal), skills and employee attitudes desired by the employers.

Temat niniejszej pracy to: Zarządzanie zasobami ludzkimi w przedsiębiorstwie. Zasoby poświęcono zarządzaniu zasobami ludzkimi w ujęciu teoretycznym. W pracy rozwinięto definicje tego pojęcia, ich cele oraz funkcję. Zaprezentowano modele polityki personalnej. Następnie podjęto się ukazania roli kadry kierowniczej w procesie zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi, zarówno od strony strukturalnej, organizacyjnej, jak i od strony przywództwa. W pracy Opisano proces rekrutacji i selekcji pracowników i narzędzia, jakich w tym procesie można użyć. Następnie ukazano systemy kadrowe w przedsiębiorstwie: wynagradzanie i premiowanie, ocenianie i motywowanie, szkolenie pracowników, rozwój oraz awans. Została zaprezentowana również strategia zwalniania pracowników. Wyjaśniono cel i przedmiot badań. Określono problemy i hipotezy badawcze. Następnie zaprezentowane zostały metody, techniki i narzędzia badawcze. Na podstawie ankiety przedstawiono charakterystykę osób badanych i ich profil. Przeanalizowano badania własne które wykazały, iż faktycznie proces rekrutacji oraz selekcji kandydatów przebiega właściwie. Potwierdzono również przypuszczenie dotyczące systemu oceniania pracowników, a także tego, iż system zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi w badanym przedsiębiorstwie wymaga pewnych modyfikacji, zwłaszcza w kontekście przyznawanego wynagrodzenia oraz znajomości przez pracowników systemu motywacyjnego.
The topic of this work is the management of human resources in the company. Resources were devoted to human resource management in theoretical terms. Work has developed a definition of the concept, its objectives and functions. Models of personnel policies have been presented. The role of management in the human resources management process was then undertaken, both from the structural, organisational and leadership side. Work Opens the recruitment and selection process for staff and tools that can be used in this process. The company's staff systems were then shown: Remuneration and bonus, grading and motivating, training of employees, development and promotion. The dismissal strategy was also presented. The purpose and the subject-matter of the studies have been clarified. Problems and research hypotheses have been identified. The methods, techniques and research tools were then presented. On the basis of the questionnaire, the characteristics of the subjects studied and their profile were presented. Their own studies have been analysed which have shown that the recruitment process and the selection of candidates are actually progressing. It was also confirmed that the system for the assessment of employees and that the human resources management system in the investigated company needs to be modified, particularly in the context of the remuneration granted and the employees' knowledge of the motivational system.
