Opis:: Recent research suggests that individual values play a significant role in the structuring and functioning of a lifestyle. In the present study we empirically examine the relation between individual values and lifestyles and describe its peculiarities. The article covers the results of quantitative content analysis and principal component analysis, carried out for empirical indicators of lifestyle for Ukrainian high school students and undergraduates (N = 170). The results are presented by eleven components distinguished as a result of the empirical study, which describe individual lifestyles in their connection with basic human values. Our findings suggest that basic human values serve as the ground for individual lifestyle construction and life practices or arrangements.

Opis:: The article analyzes the letters by Hryhoriy Skovoroda, which are a striking example of the epistolary genre of his time. These texts show the development of Skovoroda’s philosophy in the sphere of everyday life practices. These works were the first to announce and develop the important moral and ethical categories of his science, formulating and testing the leading concepts of Skovoroda’s philosophical system. It’s possible to trace the peculiarities of Hryhoriy Skovoroda’s temperament through his epistolary. This method creates the effect of the living presence of the author, because of the researched philosopher’s letters. The analysis of his letters to friends of different stages of the philosopher’s life testifies to the openness and immutability of his existential principles. The style of Skovoroda’s epistolary has not undergone significant changes for several decades. It is marked by shining Baroque metaphors, wits and aphorisms, imaginary dialogue with the recipient and thinkers of different eras. They also have a noticeable tendency to combine philosophical content with a travesty form, sincerity and respect for the recipients.

Opis:: Im Artikel wird die kritische Analyse der Idee des historischen Fortschritts dargestellt. Gezeigt werden die Analogie dieser Idee mit dem Begriff des Fortschritts im individuel- len Leben sowie ihr werttheoretischer Kontext. Des weiteren wird auf die nötigen Bedin- gungen der praktischen Verwirklichung dieser Idee hingewiesen. Der Fortschritt selbst wird als eine in werttheoretischer Hinsicht wachsende Harmonisierung verschiedener Lebenspraktiken definiert. Abschließend wird behauptet, dass die Idee des Fortschritts nicht wirksam für den historischen Prozess angewandt werden kann, weil es in der Ge- schichte nicht ein einziges Subjekt gibt, das bewusst und zielsicher verschiedene Bereiche des Historischen harmonisch gestalten könnte.
This article presents a critical analysis of the idea of historical progress. The analogy between that idea and the notion of progress in individual lives, as well as its axiological context, is demonstrated. The necessary conditions for a practical realization of this idea are also indicated. Progress itself is defined as an axiological increase in the harmonization of different life practices. The article concludes that the idea of progress cannot be lawfully applied to the historical process, because in history there is no singular subject that might consciously and deliberately harmonize various areas of that which is historical.
W artykule przedstawiona jest analiza krytyczna idei postępu historycznego. Pokazana jest analogia tej idei z pojęciem postępu w życiu indywidualnym, a także jej kontekst aksjologiczny. Wskazane też są konieczne warunki praktycznej realizacji tej idei. Sam postęp jest zdefiniowany jako wzrastające pod względem aksjologicznym harmonizowanie różnych praktyk życia. W konkluzjach artykułu twierdzi się, że idea postępu nie może być prawomocnie zastosowana do procesu historycznego, ponieważ w historii nie ma jednego podmiotu, który mógłby świadomie i celowo harmonizować różne dziedziny tego, co historyczne.

The aim of the article is to raise the issue of diversity of family forms in Poland after the period of transformation and their main manifestations, observed in various everyday practices. The attention focuses on showing the diversification of chosen family careers, including alter- native family forms. The analysis covers changes in the intimacy and durability of marriage, and further practised models and challenges in the sphere of equality in the family, referring to the concept of the “second gender revolution”. Moreover, the role of migration in the creation of various types of transnational families, different parenting practices and their impact on the leaving a homogenous family pattern are underlined

Opis:: Strategia zajmowania się przez Piotra Zarembę Szczecinem i przybywającymi do niego po wojnie nowymi mieszkańcami polegała na wiwisekcji poszczególnych warstw miasta, od centralnych zakątków po jego peryferia, oraz przystosowywaniu poszczególnych stref do zasiedlania. Kształtowanie miasta opierało się na powtarzaniu codziennych czynności w konkretnej przestrzeni. Dzięki zapiskom wspomnieniowym możemy zrekonstruować, jaką rolę w pracy pierwszego prezydenta Szczecina odgrywały „praktyki przestrzenne”.
Strategy of Piotr Zaremba to deal with the city and new residents who were arriving after the war to Szczecin consisted mainly of vivisection individual layers of the city, from central parts to its periphery, and adaptation of individual zones to colonize. Shaping the city was based on repetition of daily activities which took place in a particular space. Thanks to his notes, we can reconstruct role of "spatial practices" in his work.

Opis:: The Quality of Life model has been established as a critical framework in the field of intellectual disability on different levels. From a system-perspective, this model has had a huge impact on the ways that the supports are planned and provided and on the way that the organizations have changed. This concept also offers a comprehensive framework for the public policy development and evaluation. In this article we present an updated overview of the Quality of Life model, the evidence on its structure and its role for guiding practices in the social and educational services from a systems perspective, as well as its impact on the development of evidence-based practices in the field of intellectual disability. The main challenges towards the implementation of this model within schools are discussed and directions for further research and practice are presented.

Opis:: Introduction: Basic life support (BLS) with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) provided at the right time greatly improves survival following cardiac arrest. Adequate knowledge and skills related to BLS are essential requisites for medical students. This study aimed to explore the knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to BLS among undergraduate medical students of a medical college in Tamil Nadu, India. Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive, cross-sectional study conducted among 241 undergraduate medical students of a medical college in Tamil Nadu, between May and July 2012, using a pretested, semi-structured questionnaire devised based on American Heart Association Guidelines for BLS and CPR 2010. Results: The mean knowledge score of the participants was 4.55 ± 1.21 out of a possible high score of 6. The level of knowledge and attitudes related to BLS varied depending on the year of study, and this difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). The knowledge score decreased with increasing duration of training. The higher the year of study, the more positive the participants’ attitudes were. Only 12.9% of the participants had ever practised BLS. Twenty-one (21) participants (8.7%) expressed reluctance about performing BLS in a hospital setting, and 57.3% of the participants expressed reluctance about performing BLS in an out-of-hospital setting. Fear of acquiring infection, causing harm to the victim, and lack of confidence were the common causes for participants’ reluctance. Conclusions: The study reveals inadequate knowledge and practices related to BLS among students. The differences in knowledge and attitudes among students, depending on the year of study, point to the need for frequent refresher training and motivation of students.

Praca ma charakter interdyscyplinarny, obejmuje zagadnienia zarówno nauk psychologicznych, nauk o zarządzaniu, jak i treści najnowszych aktów prawnych wprowadzonych w Polsce w związku z pracą zdalną. Treść pracy składa się ze wstępu, 4 rozdziałów oraz zakończenia. Dwa początkowe rozdziały obejmują teoretyczną analizę problemu, wyjaśniana jest zarówno kwestia dobrostanu psychicznego, jak i wpływu pracy zawodowej na życie człowieka. Autor w tej części przybliża również najnowsze prawne regulacje dotyczące pracy zdalnej. Trzeci rozdział skupia się na metodologicznej części badania, a czwarty obejmuje analizę otrzymanych wyników badań wraz z ich wnioskami.
The theme of the work is the impact of remote work on the psychological well-being of an individual, and the main problem raised in it is the desire to find an answer to the question of how remote work is perceived and what is its most preferred model for the future. The master's thesis is interdisciplinary, it covers the issues of both psychological sciences, management sciences, as well as the content of the latest legal acts introduced in Poland in connection with remote work. The content of the work consists of an introduction, 4 chapters and a conclusion. The first two chapters cover a theoretical analysis of the problem, explaining both the issue of psychological well-being and the impact of professional work on human life. In this part, the author also introduces the latest legal regulations regarding remote work. The third chapter focuses on the methodological part of the study, and the fourth includes an analysis of the obtained research results along with their conclusions.
