Opis:: The paper examines the marketing strategies of Polish light industry enterprises in European Union countries. It also analyzes the determinants of a process whereby companies are adapting their marketing strategies to EU standards. The authors used the computer assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) method to collect data for their research. The survey was made on a random sample of 61 medium-sized and large enterprises in light industry, including textile, clothing and leather producers. The research shows that many Polish light industry enterprises have modified their marketing strategies and pricing policies after Poland’s EU entry in 2004. This especially applies to their business in the new member countries of the bloc. The results obtained by Sznajder and Witek-Hajduk are in line with the findings of other studies quoted in the article.

Opis:: The textile-clothing industry is still perceived as one of the most important sectors of the world economy, and it is also the case in Poland, where it determines the directions of development of regions related to it. The development of new media, however, has contributed to significant changes in the environment of modern enterprises belonging to that sector, which has led to the evolution of their marketing orientation. The multidimensionality and complexity of processes observed bring about the necessity to modify the implemented process of building a competitive advantage and to look for effective tools in this area. Hypermedia space requires the participation of various groups of stakeholders, both in the B2C and B2B market. A solution that proves useful in this field is definitely social media, which significantly implies the quality of implemented processes while generating a wide spectrum of opportunities to compete. The aim of the article is to identify the marketing potential of social media in the textile-clothing industry with particular reference to their role in the process of the market orientation of enterprises from this sector.
Przemysł lekki wciąż stanowi jedną z ważniejszych dziedzin gospodarki światowej, w tym również w Polsce, determinując kierunki rozwoju poszczególnych regionów z nią związanych. Rozwój nowych mediów przyczynił się jednak do istotnych zmian w otoczeniu współczesnych przedsiębiorstw tego sektora rynku, prowadząc do ewolucji ich orientacji marketingowej. Wieloaspektowość i złożoność obserwowanych procesów wymusza konieczność modyfikacji realizowanego procesu budowania przewagi rynkowej i poszukiwania efektywnych narzędzi w tym zakresie. Przestrzeń hipermedialna wymaga bowiem współuczestnictwa różnych grup stakeholders, zarówno na rynku B2C, jak i B2B. Przydatnym rozwiązaniem w tym zakresie mogą okazać się social media, które w znaczący sposób implikują jakość realizowanych procesów, generując szerokie spektrum możliwości konkurowania. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja potencjału marketingowego mediów społecznościowych w przemyśle lekkim, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ich roli w procesie orientacji rynkowej przedsiębiorstw tego sektora.

Opis:: W pracy poruszony został temat produkcji obuwia będącej nieodłączną częścią polskiego przemysłu lekkiego. Obecnie można znaleźć coraz więcej artykułów dotyczących sektora tekstylnego, odzieżowego, skórzanego i obuwniczego, jednak wciąż brakuje aktualnych tekstów naukowych przedstawiających dokładne analizy samego przemysłu obuwniczego w skali lokalnej i regionalnej. Dlatego zdecydowano się skupić na województwie małopolskim, które posiada bogate tradycje obuwnicze, a jednocześnie współcześnie działa w nim najwięcej w Polsce firm z tej branży. Głównym celem pracy jest analiza rozmieszczenia i charakteru produkcji obuwniczej w tym regionie oraz przedstawienie specyfiki całej branży wraz ze stojącymi przed nią szansami i wyzwaniami. By go zrealizować, wykonano analizę uwzględniającą wszystkie firmy z regionu wpisane do Krajowego Rejestru Sądowego, których główną formą działalności jest produkcja obuwia. Dodatkowe informacje pozyskano z Rejestru REGON, sprawozdań finansowych przedsiębiorstw oraz ich aktywnych stron internetowych, a także dzięki wywiadowi pogłębionemu z przedstawicielami branży. Otrzymane wyniki zostały przedstawione i omówione w poniższej pracy.
The thesis brings up a topic of footwear production, which is an integral part of the Polish light industry. Currently, you can find more and more articles about the Textile, Clothing, Leather, and Footwear (TCLF) sectors, but there is still a lack of current scientific texts presenting detailed analyses of the footwear industry itself in the local and regional scale. Therefore, it was decided to focus on the Małopolska region, which has rich footwear traditions and at the same time has the largest number of companies in this industry in Poland. The main purpose of the work is to analyse the distribution and nature of footwear production in this region, as well as presenting the specifics of the entire industry along with the opportunities and challenges it faces. To implement it, an analysis was carried out considering all companies from the region entered in the National Court Register, whose main activity is the production of footwear. Additional information was obtained from the REGON Register, companies' financial statements and their active websites, but also through in-depth interview with industry representatives. Results of research are presented and discussed in the following work.

Opis:: Nowadays there is a large assortment of metal fittings for light industry products: grommets, shoe blades and hooks, buttons, rivets, jeans buttons, etc. Qualitative installation of metal fittings in light industry products is a significant problem and depends on various factors. Therefore, theoretical and experimental researches in this field are important and relevant nowadays. The most popular types of metal fittings used in the sewing, footwear, leather and haberdashery industries are blocks and grommets. While grommets installing in a traditional way, unreasonable losses between the two operations occur. One of the ways to increase labor productivity is to combine the technological operations of holes punching in the grommets and their fastening in the material. This installation method can be applied to fittings which have a cylindrical hollow shape and a sharp incisive edge. To investigate the operation of metal grommets installation in light industry products, an experimental installation was developed and experimental studies were carried out. The experimental studies confirmed the possibility of utilization of the grommet cutting edge as a working tool for the punch, which in turn allowed the punching and fitting operation to be combined, reduce the number of working tools, and increase the productivity of the equipment.
Obecnie istnieje duży asortyment metalowych dodatków odzieżowych dla przemysłu lekkiego: oczka, klamry do butów, guziki, nity itp. Jakościowa instalacja metalowych kształtek w produktach przemysłu lekkiego jest poważnym problemem i zależy od różnych czynników. Dlatego teoretyczne i eksperymentalne badania w tej dziedzinie są ważne i aktualne w dzisiejszych czasach. Najpopularniejszymi rodzajami metalowych dodatków stosowanych w przemyśle krawieckim, obuwniczym, skórzanym i galanteryjnym są oczka metalowe i zapięcia. Podczas instalowania tych elementów w tradycyjny sposób dochodzi do nieuzasadnionych strat czasowych pomiędzy tymi operacjami. Jednym ze sposobów zwiększenia wydajności pracy jest połączenie operacji technologicznych wykrawania otworów w pierścieniach i ich mocowania w materiale. Tę metodę instalacji można zastosować do kształtek o cylindrycznej formie i ostrych krawędziach. Aby zbadać działanie instalacji metalowych pierścieni w produktach przemysłu lekkiego, opracowano metodę instalacji i przeprowadzono badania eksperymentalne. Badania eksperymentalne potwierdziły możliwość wykorzystania krawędzi tnącej oczka metalowego jako narzędzia roboczego dla stempla, co z kolei pozwoliło połączyć operacje wykrawania i montażu, zmniejszyć liczbę narzędzi roboczych i zwiększyć wydajność.

The increase in production in industries related to an increase in energy demand. The changing prices are one of the main factors affecting the value of production. Reducing, indeed better use of power consumed by the device may help to significantly reduce costs. Well-chosen lighting is to obtain adequate working comfort, meeting the required levels of illumination intensity and above all high efficiency. Less produced energy is less pollution. The article presents the basic parameters of light sources, example of luminary's layout spacing and the corresponding fittings power demand in simulated industrial facilities.

Opis:: The aim of the work is to change the current program in the programmable logic controller (PLC) to be as close as possible to the real-world Pick to Light system in the automotive industry for installing individual car components. The change consists in completing the navigation and tutorial mode while preserving the original function of the program, which is to measure the time of each step in assembly of the components and the reading of the pieces from the trays. A simple virtual laboratory model was created which enables to test the program even if the access to the PLC and HMI panel is not possible. The partial goal was to modify the visualization of the program in the operator touch panel Human – Machine Interface (HMI). Another partial goal was to implement a new PLC program. In order to better understand the created program, the flowcharts were created and described for the main parts of the program.

Opis:: Pollution of the night sky by artificial light has now become an important element of the modern city landscape. The decline in the quality of the sky observed at night in urban areas has already been noticed even by residents unaware of its origin. A starry sky is nowadays not easy to observe even in places far from large conurbations or smaller cities. More and more places are losing access to the previously natural privilege of observing the dark sky, and their inhabitants are thus systematically exposed to all the direct and indirect negative effects of this phenomenon. Monitoring the brightness of the night sky is gaining interest from a growing number of interdisciplinary research groups being established around the world, including Poland. In Toruń, the first measurements of the magnitude of this phenomenon, together with the determination of its spatial scale, were started using handheld devices in 2017. In the following years, efforts were made to improve the data acquisition process by creating a prototype – a technology demonstrator and, consequently, a commercial version of an automatic device measuring the surface brightness of the night sky. This paper presents the stages of the project aimed at developing a light pollution monitoring system, which has been consistently implemented in Toruń. The most important component of this system is a measuring device of our own design and construction. The monitoring system designed and operating in Toruń, starting in 2019, is being further developed with new components and monitoring (measurement) sites being systematically added, making the city’s observation network increasingly dense. The devices built using the LoRa standard for wireless data exchange implement the concept of the Internet of Things, fitting in with the objectives of a smart city.

Opis:: Przedstawiono metodykę oraz wyniki oceny jakości części maszyn wytworzonych bezpośrednio z modelu numerycznego CAD 3D. Analizowano właściwości części otrzymanych za pomocą reprezentatywnych technik addytywnych opartych na przetwarzaniu polimerów oraz światłoczułych żywic. Cały proces wytwarzania części prowadzono zgodnie z konwencją Przemysł 4.0. Ocena dokładności odtwarzania modeli numerycznych CAD obejmowała zarówno jakość powierzchni zewnętrznych i objętość wytworzonych części, jak i stopień odwzorowania wymiarów.
This paper presents the methodology and quality assessment results for machine parts produced directly from CAD 3D numerical model. The parts were produced using representative additive manufacturing technologies based on polymers and UV light-cured resins processing and their properties were analyzed. The whole process was conducted according to Industry 4.0 convention. The assessment of the reproduction accuracy of CAD 3D models covered the quality of external surfaces, volume of manufactured parts as well as dimension accuracy.
