Opis:: The objective of this research is to propose an indicator to evaluate environmental impacts from the machinery sectors of Thailand, leading to more sustainable consumption and production in this sector of the economy. The factors used to calculate the forward linkage, backward linkage and real benefit included the total environmental costs. The highest total environmental cost was railway equipment need to be resolved immediately because it uses natural resources in carrying capacity, higher than standard environmental cost, and contribute to low real benefit. Electric accumulator & battery, secondary special industrial machinery, motorcycle, bicycle & other carriages, and engines and turbines need to monitor closely because they are able to link to other production sectors more than other production sector do and they have high environmental cost. In order to decide the sustainable development strategy of the country, there is a need to use this research to support decision-making.

Opis:: This research aims to analyze the growth rate, and the role of the fisheries sector also to analyze the linkage between the fisheries sector and other sectors in the economic growth rate in the Batubara district. The results of research can be used by local communities and the government as material consideration in determining a policy of management of the economic sector, especially the fisheries sector. This research was carried out from April 2017 to April 2018. The methods utilized are regional superiority analysis, klassentypology analysis, and correlation analysis. The results showed that LQ. LI and SI values of the fisheries sector of Batubara District tend to increase in value from year to year and the fisheries sector itself is in a state of growth. Still, Typology Klassen analysis reveals that the fisheries sector of Batubara district is in the second quadrant. This means that it is advanced but depressed. Moreover, the role of the fisheries sector to other sectors is in the provision of production factors and capital base due to the economy factors built-in to the same space. Herein, the result of correlation analysis of the fisheries sector with other sectors is 0,9. This shows that there is a very strong linkage between the fisheries sector and other sector values in the Batubara District.

Opis:: The paper presents the method for the optimal synthesis of four-link mechanism generating open/closed paths with time prescription. Although the method is suitable for both closed and open paths, it enables decreasing the number of design parameters describing dimensions, orientation and position of a path generator. Compared to the methods presented in the references, this is a one-phase synthesis method; although the number of design parameters is reduced, the method does not require affine transformations to be performed on the synthesised mechanism. The effectiveness of the method is discussed based on examples of three paths, with two taken from the literature.

Opis:: Urban areas and metros are growing at a much higher rate than the rural areas. Urban areas play a significant role in the development of the nation by contributing 60% of the national income with only 27.78% of the population. Urban Transport is the most crucial (infrastructure) element in shaping urban development and living. The supply of transport is heterogeneous with a number of interacting and competing modes while the demand for it is derived from the overall pattern of urban activity. Urban Transport has a significant impact on the environment, land use, and land development patterns. In India, multiple institutions are responsible for urban transport and it is governed by multiple policies/ Acts/ legislations. While bus is the major mode of urban transport, local/suburban trains (Railway), Taxies/Autos and personalized transport makeup the rest. Lack of proper public transport has resulted in the increase of personal vehicles, causing problems of congestion, pollution and loss of productive time on travel delays. Study of urban transport systems across the world has revealed that well coordinated institutions with dedicated funding sources and proper planning ensure well functioning urban public transport systems, keeping the cities liveable and productive. Urban transport has to be a public good and be funded through public resources. Indian context have revealed a good beginning made in this direction but absence of institutional arrangements for planning at local level, lack of coordination among various institutions and departments, lack of dedicated funding, lack of inter modal coordination, lack of patronage for new rail based systems are also glaring.

Tytuł:: Controlling the rate of GWAS false discoveries

Opis:: With the rise of both the number and the complexity of traits of interest, control of the false discovery rate (FDR) in genetic association studies has become an increasingly appealing and accepted target for multiple comparison adjustment. While a number of robust FDR-controlling strategies exist, the nature of this error rate is intimately tied to the precise way in which discoveries are counted, and the performance of FDR-controlling procedures is satisfactory only if there is a one-to-one correspondence between what scientists describe as unique discoveries and the number of rejected hypotheses. The presence of linkage disequilibrium between markers in genome-wide association studies (GWAS) often leads researchers to consider the signal associated to multiple neighboring SNPs as indicating the existence of a single genomic locus with possible influence on the phenotype. This a posteriori aggregation of rejected hypotheses results in inflation of the relevant FDR. We propose a novel approach to FDR control that is based on prescreening to identify the level of resolution of distinct hypotheses. We show how FDR-controlling strategies can be adapted to account for this initial selection both with theoretical results and simulations that mimic the dependence structure to be expected in GWAS. We demonstrate that our approach is versatile and useful when the data are analyzed using both tests based on single markers and multiple regression. We provide an R package that allows practitioners to apply our procedure on standard GWAS format data, and illustrate its performance on lipid traits in the North Finland Birth Cohort 66 cohort study

Opis:: Inspired by the work of Ulrich [26] and Huneke–Ulrich [25], we describe a pattern to show that the ideals of certain opposite embedded Schubert varieties (defined by this pattern) arise by taking residual intersections of two (geometrically linked) opposite Schubert varieties which we call Ulrich pair. This pattern is uniform for the ADE types. Some of the free resolutions of the Schubert varieties in question are important for the structure of finite free resolutions. Our proof is representation theoretical and uniform for our pattern, however it is possible to derive our results using case-by-case analysis and the aid of a computer.

Opis:: In the paper a new measurement procedure of identification of synchronous reluctance motors parameters is presented. It is based on extension of traditional current decay test, used both in case of induction and synchronous motors [1, 3]. The main aim of the method is to enable to obtain the current-flux linkage characteristic necessary in case of Hamiltonian model of the machine (eq. 1). In case of 3-phase machine without neutral wire, being the most popular in practical applications [3], the method is based on measurement of currents in two independent phases (Fig. 4, eq. 5). The result of its application in a form of trajectories presenting traces of the chosen flux linkage in a current space is shown in Fig. 8b.

Opis:: The binding data for oxygenation of human hemoglobin, Hb, at various temperatures and in the absence and presence of 2,3-diphosphoglycerate, DPG, and inositol hexakis phosphate, IHP, were analyzed for extraction of mean intrinsic Gibbs free energy, ΔGo, enthalpy, ΔHo, and entropy, ΔSo, of binding at various partial oxygen pressures. This method of analysis considers all the protein species present such as dimer and tetramer forms which were not considered by Imai et al. (Imai K et al., 1970, Biochim Biophys Acta 200: 189 - 196) , in their analysis which was based on Adair equation. In this regard, the values of Hill equation parameters were estimated with high precision at all points of the binding curve and used for calculation of ΔGo, ΔHo and ΔSo were also calculated by analysis of ΔGo values at various temperatures using van't Hoff equation. The results represent the enthalpic nature of the cooperativity in Hb oxygenation and the compensation effect of intrinsic entropy. The interpretation of results also to be, into account the decrease of the binding affinity of sites for oxygen in the presence of DPG and IHP without any considerable changes in the site - site interaction (extent of cooperativity). In other words, the interactions between bound ligands, organic phosphates and oxygen, are more due to a decreasing binding affinity and not to the reduction of the cooperative interaction between sites. The results also document the more heterotropic effect of IHP compared to DPG.

Opis:: The article characterises various postulates in religious matters included in eleven constitutional projects from 1989 to 1991. The ground-breaking significance for constitutional legislation of three religious acts which were passed on 17 May 1989 has been pointed out. An attempt has been made to determine to what extent the postulates concerning religious issues contained in the constitutional drafts and provisions of the religious acts were reflected in the text of the Constitution of 1997.
