Opis:: The aim of the article is to present a concept related to the improvement of the logistics process at the company, by the modernization of the main railway siding of the terminal. The paper present the reasons for the decision that was once made in order to obtain the expected advantages after the modernization. The comparison of the incurred expenses and the profits that might be gained in the future allows us to state that the decision about the modernization was the right one. The decision about the modernization also referred to a trend towards an increase in cargo handling operations, which could be observed at the company at that time. The decision about modernization was made when the terminal operated using its full capacities of the railway siding. Therefore, the modernization was necessary in order to meet expectations expressed by the current and potential customers who might appear in the future.

Opis:: Process of suppliers selection, as well as cooperation between suppliers and manufacturers, are a significant problem for today’s companies. Producers negotiate and arrange with their subcontractors to ensure a continuity of production. Following this, one of the major problem is supplier evaluation and supply risk assessment in order to avoid delays, which may seriously affect the producers’ ability. In the paper there are presented the main types of risk and the methods of its classification and evaluation used in logistic processes performance. The analysed problem is to be discussed on the example of Whirlpool-Polar company from Poland. For the presented company, there is investigated supplier evaluation process, suppliers classification with the relation of their purchasing and bargaining power to the degree of their obligations fulfilment. Moreover, there is defined the supply risk concept, what gives the possibility to compare the suppliers purchasing power with the defined supply risk. Later, there are presented main possibilities to reduce the supply risk by using a “milk run” method with a number of variants of the simulation and its evaluations. The presented results comply with the profitability of transport in the case of round-trip transportation performance. Transport of goods is cost effective when the usage of the truck transport capacity will be at least 85%. Following this, the presented research analysis result gives the possibility to reduce risk in terms of reducing disruptions occurrence consequences, when the probabilities of their appearance remain at the same level.

Opis:: A flat wooden pallet, being a simple logistics carrier in terms of its structure, can nonetheless be treated as a highly specialized logistical and marketing object applied in complex supply chains. Rigorous measures taken to standardize pallets are predominantly aimed at ensuring the highest possible safety level for the transported products and people handling the freight units during the complex logistical processes that involve pallets along supply chains. The goal of this article was to increase understanding of the operating strategies employed by entities using pallet pools, as well as the organizational, operational, and market challenges faced by them. It was hoped to achieve this goal via both theoretical and empirical studies. To this end, the research study applied theoretical synthesis and empirical evidence derived from primary research based on the industrial, transport, forwarding, and logistics markets. At the same time, the theoretical context was based on the literature on the subject, related to wooden pallet issues and their special role in logistical processes. Challenges connected with decisions made to enable effective and efficient management of pallet pools were addressed at legal and regulatory, as well as organizational and operational, levels. Diverse courses of action identified in several stakeholder groups were reflected in the adopted philosophy of managing the main feeding streams of pallet pools. Though limited to just the Polish market, the research study was sufficiently representative due to the strategic share of the European and global market of standard flat wooden pallets. The author proposes taking a perspective of value-added synergy as an alternative (to be understood as different and complementary rather than excluding possibilities) to other ways of approaching the value of supply chains. The undertaken considerations may contribute to increasing the awareness of the importance of taking a pallet, so common from the technical and technological point of view, as a value-added carrier in scientific considerations, due to its paradoxically low individual economic vulnerability.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawione zostały koszty obsługi garażu dla autobusów, jako integralnej części procesu logistyki. Określono koszty wpływające na cały proces logistyczny, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem kosztów inwestycyjnych i eksploatacyjnych związanych z systemem wentylacji garażu. Przeprowadzono analizę trzech rozwiązań systemu wentylacji na przykładzie wybranego garażu dla autobusów. Zaproponowano trzy rodzaje systemów wentylacyjnych: wentylację mechaniczną nawiewno - wywiewną (realizowaną przez wentylatory dachowe i ścienne), wentylację mechaniczną nawiewno-wywiewną z recyrkulacją oraz wentylację z krzyżowym wymiennikiem ciepła. Dla proponowanych rozwiązań wykonano analizy dzięki którym wykazano wariant wentylacji uzasadniony ekonomicznie i ekologicznie dla budynku.
The article presents the operating costs of the garage for buses, as an integral part of the logistics process . The costs affecting the entire logistics process, with particular emphasis on investment and operating costs related to the ventilation system garage was shown. An analysis of the three solutions of the ventilation system on the example of the garage for buses was carry out. Authors proposes three types of ventilation systems : mechanical ventilation intake - exhaust (implemented by the fans roof and wall) , mechanical ventilation supply and exhaust recirculation and ventilation with the plate heat exchanger. For the proposed solutions was conducted through analysis that showed a variant of the ventilation justified economically and ecologically for the building.

In the end was carried out the project for improving the order process.
Praca została poświęcona analizie i ocenie procesów zaopatrzenia w niemieckiej firmie PRETTL Produktions Holdings GmbH. Celem pracy było dokładne zdiagnozowanie przebiegu procesu zaopatrzenia. Cel ten został zrealizowany poprzez studia literaturowe oraz poprzez badania empiryczne. W części teoretycznej omówione zostały zagadnienia dotyczące logistyki zaopatrzenia w tym strategie logistyki zaopatrzenia, a także procesów zaopatrzenia ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem metod oraz kryteriów wyboru i oceny dostawców. W części empirycznej zostały zbadane wybrane procesy logistyki zaopatrzenia dotyczące grupy materiałowej tworzywa sztuczne, a także została przeprowadzona szczegółowa analiza procesu realizacji zamówienia i oceny dostawców. W ostatniej części został zaprezentowany projekt rozwiązania usprawnionego procesu składania zamówienia.
