A result of globalization is homogeneous, international goods, service and funds market which is closely combined with national markets. Logistics development brings closer countries and supports sharpening of international competition. Nowadays a customer is the center of attention on rapidly developing economic market. Customers' decisions determine a success of producers and sellers. Knowledge about customers' behavior is fundamental for marketing decision making in all stages of developing a logistics offer.

Opis:: The paper examines the classical problem of optimization of the size of a delivery to a warehouse. Using a model developed by the author, simulations were conducted using data obtained from companies in Poland. The results revealed that the impact of this optimization on the economic efficiency of an enterprise can be considerable in some cases. It is difficult, however, to develop an appropriate mathematical formula for solving such a problem. The use of a simulation seems to be more appropriate for solving this problem than optimization models.

Opis:: The purpose of this article is to analyse logistics outsourcing and assess its influence on the results of contemporary companies on the basis of the selected Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises. The theoretical part constitutes an introduction to the issue of logistics outsourcing in manufacturing and trading enterprises - it shows the concept, essence and determinants of outsourcing the logistics processes in contemporary companies. The analytical part of the study presents the most important issues associated with logistics outsourcing in the surveyed enterprises and also includes an attempt to assess its influence on the performance of the surveyed companies. The results of empirical research presented in this study come from a more extensive study conducted in 2014 through a direct interview concerning logistics processes of Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises.

Opis:: The carried analysis out allowed to identify the logistics processes related to creation and maintenance of stockpile in the vast area agricultural enterprises. Besides, the level and structure of logistics costs generated in this sphere of activity of the enterprise were defined, too.
W pracy zidentyfikowano procesy logistyczne związane z tworzeniem i utrzymaniem zapasów w wielkoobszarowych przedsiębiorstwach rolniczych. Poza tym przeanalizowano wielkość i strukturę kosztów logistycznych w tego rodzaju przedsiębiorstwach. Zidentyfikowano trzy główne grupy kosztów logistycznych w sferze gospodarki zapasami. Dominującymi kosztami okazały się koszty magazynowania (60%), w następnej kolejności znalazły się koszty zaangażowanego kapitału (około 26%), a koszty ryzyka wyniosły 14% ogółu kosztów zapasów.

The article describes the problem of construction logistics process. Attention was paid to the dependence of shaping logistics processes on the applied technology and organization of the construction. Examples show the integration of supply and production logistics in the construction industry, requiring the Just in Time approach. The cases are illustrated with photographs.

Opis:: The Authors’ research has concentrated on the modelling and parametrization of procurement processes – order/ delivery processes. The methods employed in the research were: modelling approach towards logistics systems and processes as well iGrafx software. The result of the works is the Authors’ own project composed of 10 elements, which allows for conducting a multi-criteria analysis of procurement and transportation processes. This paper describes the simulation of procurement according to economic order quantity method. Business processes today are volatile, complex and with many interdependencies; a tendency to reduce the risk of failure is prevalent. Computer simulation as a tool for analysing and predicting future enables the testing of various solution variants over a short period of time – at no capital investment cost or without taking unnecessary risk. The result of the research has a practical application in both manufacturing and trading companies.

Opis:: The article presents selected research results regarding the conditions for controlling of logistics processes in manufacturing enterprises. The research goal was to determine the relationship between the occurrence of such controlling and the separation of logistics processes in enterprises. The research issues undertaken determined the choice of research methods, such as literature review and survey research. The implementation of logistics controlling is associated with the isolation of logistics processes, as evidenced by the result of the Chi2 independence test. This means that in process-oriented enterprises there is logistic process controlling. Logistics controlling is a broader concept, covering logistics in functional terms at every level of the institutional criterion, both micrological, metalogistic and macrological.
W artykule zaprezentowano wybrane wyniki badań dotyczące uwarunkowań funkcjonowania controllingu procesów logistycznych w przedsiębiorstwach produkcyjnych. Celem badawczym było ustalenie zależności między występowaniem controllingu logistyki a wyodrębnieniem procesów logistycznych w przedsiębiorstwach. Podjęta problematyka badawcza zdeterminowała wybór metod badawczych takich jak przegląd literatury oraz badania ankietowe. Wdrożenie controllingu logistyki jest powiązane z wyodrębnieniem procesów logistycznych, na co wskazuje wynik przeprowadzonego testu niezależności Chi2. Oznacza to, że w przedsiębiorstwach zorientowanych procesowo występuje controlling procesów logistycznych. Controlling logistyki jest pojęciem szerszym, obejmującym logistykę w ujęciu funkcjonalnym na każdym poziomie kryterium instytucjonalnego, zarówno mikrologistycznym, metalogistycznym i makrologistycznym.

Opis:: Głównym problemem podmiotów gospodarczych jest utrzymanie ich konkurencyjności w stosunku do innych uczestników rynku. Koncepcja zarządzania logistycznego coraz częściej uważana jest za narzędzie efektywności prowadzonych działań i zasadniczą strategię podmiotu gospodarczego. Pomiar zdarzeń logistycznych może być prowadzony w wymiarze krótko- lub długookresowym. Wstępnej oceny efektywności procesów logistycznych dokonuje się już na podstawie prowadzonej w przedsiębiorstwie rachunkowości finansowo-księgowej. Nasilająca się konkurencja stawia przed przedsiębiorstwami ciągle nowe wymagania zarówno w zakresie nowych produktów, ich jakości, a również kosztów i cen. To sprawia, że zarządzanie staje się coraz bardziej utrudnione. Rośnie zapotrzebowanie na informację ekonomiczną dotyczącą zarówno zachodzących zmian w otoczeniu, jak i procesów realizowanych wewnątrz przedsiębiorstw. Znaczącą część tej informacji uzyskuje się w wyniku analizy osiąganych przez przedsiębiorstwo efektów, a także analizy posiadanych przez nie zasobów oraz ich wykorzystania. Mierniki i wskaźniki traktowane są jako zestaw narzędzi analitycznych do pomiaru efektywności procesów logistycznych. Nie ma możliwości prowadzenia działalności gospodarczej bez pomiaru jej efektywności. Analiza produktywności biznesowej ma odpowiedzieć, czy uzyskujemy z tej inicjatywy korzyści (zysk) oraz wskazać kierunki ich maksymalizowania, np. przez obniżanie kosztów. Pozytywne mierniki oceny, napędzają i mobilizują przedsiębiorstwo do jeszcze większej i wydajniejszej skali działania. Natomiast mierniki odbiegające od założonych wskaźników rozwoju mogą i powinny wpływać na zawieszenie przedsięwzięcia gospodarczego lub szukanie sposobów zwiększenia wydajności prowadzonych działań. Teoretyczne podstawy zagadnień związanych z zarządzaniem logistycznym, uwierzytelnione wynikami badań empirycznych dowodzą, że procesy logistyczne sprzyjają wzrostowi efektywności działań operacyjnych. Pytanie kierowane ze strony przedsiębiorców, menadżerów i specjalistów ds. logistyki brzmi: „jakie metody, wskaźniki należy zastosować, ażeby w najbardziej rzetelny sposób można było zbadać tą efektywność. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie sposobów pomiaru efektywności działalności logistycznej podmiotu gospodarczego.
The main problem of business entities is maintaining their competitiveness in relation to other market participants. The concept of logistics management is increasingly considered to be a tool for the efficiency of operations and the basic strategy of a business entity. The measurement of logistic events can be carried out in the short or long term. The initial assessment of the effectiveness of logistics processes is already made on the basis of financial and accounting accounting maintained in the enterprise. Increasing competition sets new requirements for enterprises in terms of new products, their quality as well as costs and prices. This makes management more and more difficult. There is a growing demand for economic information regarding both changes in the environment and processes implemented within enterprises. A significant part of this information is obtained as a result of the analysis of the effects achieved by the enterprise as well as the analysis of its resources and their use. Meters and indicators are treated as a set of analytical tools for measuring the effectiveness of logistics processes. You cannot run a business without measuring its effectiveness. The analysis of business productivity is to answer whether we obtain benefits (profit) from this initiative and indicate the directions of their maximization, e.g. by reducing costs. Positive evaluation measures drive and mobilize the enterprise to an even larger and more efficient scale of operations. On the other hand, measures that deviate from the assumed development indicators can and should affect the suspension of an economic venture or seeking ways to increase the efficiency of operations. The theoretical foundations of issues related to logistics management, authenticated by the results of empirical research prove that logistics processes are conducive to increasing the efficiency of operational activities. The question directed by entrepreneurs, managers and logistics specialists is – „What methods, indicators should be used so that this effectiveness can be tested in the most reliable way? The purpose of the article is to present ways of measuring the effectiveness of the logistic activity of an economic entity.
