Opis:
This paper presents a method for calculating the water-hammer effect in a hydraulic system with a spring safety valve. A model of the valve including its dynamic functioning is presented. The developed model, enables simulation testing in order to estimate the influence of construction parameters of the spring activated safety valve on pressure changes and on the velocity of fluid flow along the pipe.

Opis:
The paper presents possibility of using R507 as a working fluid in gravitational heat pipe. The outcome of experimental analysis are compared to the results obtained with mathematical model. The simulations allow to calculate fluid and wall temperatures in the thermosyphon. The model equations contain the formulas for boiling and condensing heat transfer coefficients. Proposed new model is in good agreement with real operation of the device, especially at the steady state. There are discrepancies during the start-up process, but the differences between the results obtained by the model and experiments do not exceed 5% at the steady state. The thermal efficiency of the thermosyphon is also determined as 0.63.

Opis:
Mathematical model of the biofilm growth and morphology dynamics has been presented based on the cellular automata theory. All processes occurring in a biofilm have been modelled in a discrete manner. The two-dimensional distributions of microorganisms density and concentrations of substrates were obtained from the simulation. One-dimensional distributions of microorganisms density and biofilm porosity dependent on the growth time have been determined. It was shown that the biofilm morphology varies significantly over the process time. This phenomenon can be used for determining the age of a growing biofilm.

Celem pracy jest stworzenie zbioru funkcji i przekształceń znanych zależności z zakresu teorii manipulatorów, koniecznych do wyznaczenia reguł sterowania ruchem modułów palców prototypu manipulatora typu ręka człowieka HAND-K3 w kontakcie z badanymi obiektami.
This paper refers to functional connection of set of mathematical models of tactile sensor array disposed in groups of each finger phalanx in the prototype manipulator with the configuration of its motor connections in time. Correlation of previously elaborated mathematic model of the sensor array in meta- carpus’s coordinate system of the manipulator’s hand served for conducting series of experiments, measurements and establishing key criteria used in the optimizing process of the hand type manipulator’s kinematic structure. The main goal of this work is to generate a set of functions and transformations common in the theory of manipulator’s, essential in designating rules in controlling the movement of finger modules in the HAND-K3 hand type manipulator prototype in interaction with examined objects.

The paper discusses the importance of tractors for the technological and transportation activities in agriculture. It also presents a methodological approach and an algorithm based on the criteria for the full utilization of the tractors' gravity and power for the successful aggregating of tractors when performing these activities. The offered mathematical model makes it possible to determine the sphere of full aggregation of tractors in transport within the broad range of change of the production conditions' indicators with the help of board computers.

Opis:
Soil phytotoxicity studies were performed with different doses of creosote by means of the PHYTOTOXKIT test, using Sinapis alba, Lepidium sativum, Sorghum saccharatum as test plants. The obtained results indicate highly signifiant effect of the creosote dose, duration of soil incubation, type of test plant and period, after which the root length measurement was performed during the phytotoxicity index root test. The analysis of results indicates the highest sensitivity of Sorghum saccharatum to creosote and the highest correlation of results obtained with the aid of Lepidium sativum when measuring the root length after the fist day the seeds are lined with the size of the dose. The proposed mathematical model makes it possible to predict the reaction of test plants on the size of creosote dose as well as to assess its amount in the soil based on the root phytotoxicity. These results allow for a signifiant simplifiation of the test and shorten its duration. This allows the modifid test to be used for simple monitoring of not only the phytotoxicity but also the creosote residues during reclamation of contaminated soil.

Opis:
Operation mode simulation methods are based on selection of trim coil currents in the isochronous cyclotron for formation of the required magnetic field at a certain level of the main coil current. The traditional current selection method is based on finding a solution for all trim coils simultaneously. After setting the calculated operation mode, it is usually necessary to perform a control measurement of the magnetic field map and to repeat the calculation for a more accurate solution. The new current selection method is based on successively finding solutions for each particular trim coil. The trim coils are taken one by one in reverse order from the edge to the center of the isochronous cyclotron. The new operation mode simulation method is based on the new current selection method. The new method, as against the traditional one, includes iterative calculation of the kinetic energy at the extraction radius. A series of experiments on proton beam formation within the range of working acceleration radii at extraction energies from 32 to 59 MeV, which were carried out at the AIC144 multipurpose isochronous cyclotron (designed mainly for the eye melanoma treatment and production of radioisotopes) at the INP PAS (Kraków), showed that the new method makes unnecessary any control measurements of magnetic fields for getting the desired operation mode, which indicates a high accuracy of the calculation.

Opis:
Entry of the Czech Republic into the European Union (EU) means an expressive expansion of space for European integrated logistics development and application. Basically logistics changes are necessary if the companies and also state in the Czech Republic do not want to be an outsider on the European market. Logistics is one of the important points of enterprise within a cluster. Cooperation of cluster members on the field of logistics for involved companies means a substantial advantage which companies will gain against their competitors not only on the native but also on the foreign markets. Conclusions of the research of mathematical model for logistic control in an industrial cluster are the critical points of this paper. This mathematical model shows the main logistic advantages for cluster members.

Opis:
Over the last years, there has been a rising interest in wound-rotor synchronous motors (WSM) for electric vehicle drive application. They provide analternative to permanent magnet motors (PSM) which are subject to shortage issues with the rare-earth material supply [5]. Although an analytical solution of the WSM minimum copper losses problem exists [1], the associated assumptions of unlimited voltage and constant motor inductances are mostly not applicable for electric vehicle applications. This paper proposes a simple method to improve the convergence of a numerical solution of the copper loss minimization problem subject to a nonlinear equality constraint (motor torque) and inequality constraints (available voltage and maximum current). A set / tree of weighted locally linearized (LoLiMoT) models replaces nonlinear lookup tables specifying the inductances Ld, Lq, Lf in terms of the currents Id, Iq and If. A benefit of this is that the analytical expressions for the Jacobian and the Hessian matrices of the objective function and the constraints functions are readily available to a gradient-based numericaloptimization function. The calculation results presented in the paper show a reduction of the necessary number of iteration steps. In addition, straightforward modification of the presented method allows optimization also under consideration of magnetic losses.
