Opis:: The paper deal with testing of different GNSS measurement methods in highly accurate network for the objectives engineering surveying. The test is comprised of a set of measurement acquired by particular GNSS methods with different observation length. For purposes of the test, an appropriate network of five points in local system was created and accurately trigonometrically measured. The result of testing is a comparison of individual methods in position using two dimensional congruent transformation and in height using one dimensional congruent transformation.

Opis:: W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań nad wykorzystaniem wirtualnych stacji referencyjnych VRS (Virtual Reference Station) generowanych w polskim wielofunkcyjnym systemie satelitarnej, aktywnej sieci geodezyjnej ASG-EUPOS. Wykorzystanie wirtualnych stacji referencyjnych pozwala na wzmocnienie układu elementów nawiązania, skrócenie długości wektorów nawiązania, może także prowadzić do ogólnej poprawy konstrukcji geometrycznej wyznaczanej sieci. W niniejszej pracy skoncentrowano się na określeniu optymalnej długości wektorów nawiązania przy określonej założonej długości sesji obserwacyjnej realizowanej metodą statyczną. Przeprowadzone eksperymenty badawcze dowiodły, że podejście takie umożliwia poprawę parametrów jakościowych zakładanej w taki sposób sieci realizacyjnej. Jednak wymierny efekt jakościowy staje się zauważalny po skróceniu długości wektorów nawiązujących do około 35 km. Odpowiada to w przybliżeniu połowie odległości, w jakiej zostały rozmieszczone stacje referencyjne (CORS) w systemie ASG-EUPOS. Zaproponowane rozwiązanie prowadzi do zwiększenia niezawodności zewnętrznej związanej z warunkami nawiązania oraz poprawia dokładność zwłaszcza w sensie bezwzględnym (wyznaczenia wektorów GPS i błędów położenia punktów).
This paper presents the results of research on the use of virtual reference stations VRS (Virtual Reference Station) generated in the Polish multifunction system of satellite, active geodetic network ASG-EUPOS. The use of virtual reference stations allows us to strengthen the reference elements, shortening the length of the reference vectors, may also lead to an overall improvement the geometrical construction of the network to be determined. In this work basic research was focused on the determination of the optimal length of reference vectors, at a certain predetermined length of the observation session, executed using a static method. The performed research experiments have shown, that this approach can improve the quality parameters in created in such a way sett ing-out network. However, the measurable eff ect of quality becomes noticeable after shortening of the length of reference vectors to about 35 km. This corresponds to approximately half of the distance in which the physical reference stations (CORS) were placed in the ASG-EUPOS system. The proposed solution leads to an increase of the external reliability related to the reference conditions and improves the accuracy especially in the absolute sense (determination of the GPS vectors and position errors of points).

Opis:: The GNSS RTK-Networks have been aroused a great interest for the advantages in the surveying of the territory in comparison to the traditional RTK methodology. The DISTART in the last year has improved a Network for RTK positioning. At present the net is composed by 8 permanent stations. The control centre is nearby the Department of DISTART of Bologna University. This network is fundamental to investigate all aspects concerning the networks for real time applications. Particularly, not only the topographic feature is investigated, but a very important aspect concerning the data transmission infrastructure is analyzed. In fact the first experimentations demonstrated that the performance of the topographic network depends on the guarantee of a correct data transmission from the GNSS permanent stations to the Control Centre. To investigate on this field we built a network composed by mixed physical data transmission infrastructure between control centre and the permanent stations on the territory (topographic baselines about 70-80 Km) using university Italian network (GARR) and commercial networks. We studied the time of latency of data transmitted, that is an important aspect of the network, because to solve ambiguities every software for real time network solution needs that the GNSS permanent station observations arrives with a latency not too much greater than a second. Parallely we studied other important aspects of the data transmission in the network like the NAPs (Network Access Protocols), the velocities, the data formats (RTCM 2.X, RTCM 3.0). In this work we want to give the direction to characterize a procedure step by step of a network installation, wit h the purpose to define a standard, possibly certified, about procedures, materials, softwares to use to install a network of GNSS permanent stations for RTK positioning.

Opis:: The paper presents a proposed adjustment algorithm for an integrated method of measuring situational and altitude details, consisting in combining the modular network elements (classical terrestrial measurements) with the GNSS vectors. Satellite measurements are treated as additional observations, strengthening the network structure, or playing the role of binding (tie) elements between the classical modules. The proposed algorithm is based on the idea of total adjustment of all types of observations (terrestrial, satellite) with the intermediary method, according to the least squares procedure. In order to determine the necessary approximate values of the unknowns (coordinates of the points, which are being determined), the GNSS vectors may be used.
W pracy przedstawiono propozycję algorytmu wyrównania dla zintegrowanej metody pomiaru szczegółów sytuacyjno-wysokościowych, polegającej na połączeniu elementów sieci modularnych (klasyczny pomiar naziemny) z wektorami GNSS. Pomiary satelitarne traktowane są jako dodatkowe obserwacje, wzmacniające konstrukcję sieci lub pełniące rolę elementów wiążących pomiędzy modułami klasycznymi. Zaproponowany algorytm opiera się na idei łącznego wyrównania wszystkich typów obserwacji (naziemne, satelitarne) metodą pośredniczącą, według procedury najmniejszych kwadratów. W celu wyznaczenia niezbędnych wartości przybliżonych niewiadomych (współrzędnych wyznaczanych punktów) mogą być wykorzystane wektory GNSS.

Opis:: The article discusses the applicability of a novel method to determine horizontal curvature of the railway track axis based on results of mobile satellite measurements. The method is based on inclination angle changes of a moving chord in the Cartesian coordinate system. In the presented case, the variant referred to as the method of two virtual chords is applied. It consists in maneuvering with only one GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver. The assumptions of the novel method are formulated, and an assessment of its application in the performed campaign of mobile satellite measurements is presented. The shape of the measured railway axis is shown in the national spatial reference system PL-2000, and the speed of the measuring trolley during measurement is calculated based on the recorded coordinates. It has been observed that over the test section, the curvature ordinates differ from the expected waveform, which can be caused by disturbances of the measuring trolley trajectory. However, this problem can easily be overcome by filtering the measured track axis ordinates to obtain the correct shape – this refers to all track segments: straight sections, circular arcs and transition curves. The virtual chord method can also constitute the basis for assessing the quality of the recorded satellite signal. The performed analysis has shown high accuracy of the measuring process.

Opis:: W rozdziale przedstawiono przykładowe rezultaty zastosowania systemu RAIM dla odbiornika GNSS w nawigacji lotniczej. Zaprezentowano schemat działania oraz algorytm obliczeniowy dla systemu RAIM. W pracy określono również wartości parametrów niezawodności wewnętrznej działania odbiornika GNSS.
The paper presents examples of results of using the RAIM system for the GNSS receiver in air navigation. The operating diagram and calculation algorithm for the RAIM system are presented. Numerical calculations were made in the Aircraft Positioning Software (APS) for GPS code observations recorded by the Topcon HiperPro receiver. The work also sets out the values of the parameters of the internal reliability of the GNSS receiver.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono podsumowanie kilkuletnich badań nad zastosowaniem mobilnych pomiarów satelitarnych w projektowaniu i eksploatacji dróg szynowych. Mobilne pomiary satelitarne polegają na objeździe trasy pojazdem szynowym z doczepionymi wagonami-platformami lub wózkami dwuosiowymi, na których zainstalowano odbiorniki GNSS (ang. Global Navigation Satellite System). Opisano przyjętą metodykę badawczą oraz przebieg pomiarów przeprowadzonych w torze kolejowym i tramwajowym. Podjęto kwestię dokładności pomiarów satelitarnych. Wykazano, że aktualnie optymalnym rozwiązaniem – zapewniającym maksymalną dokładność wyznaczenia współrzędnych GNSS podczas badań inwentaryzacyjnych tras szynowych – jest wykorzystanie dwusystemowej satelitarnej sieci geodezyjnej GPS / GLONASS (odpowiednio ang. Global Positioning System i ros. GLObalnaja NAwigacionnaja SiStema). Jednocześnie wskazano, że wyznaczenie współrzędnych istniejącej trasy w państwowym układzie odniesień przestrzennych 2000 technikami GNSS prowadzi do konieczności weryfikacji dotychczasowej metodyki projektowania. W artykule przedstawiono założenia nowej metody projektowania układów geometrycznych toru, dostosowanej do techniki pomiarów satelitarnych, w której rozwiązanie problemu projektowego polega na wyznaczeniu uniwersalnych równań opisujących całość układu geometrycznego. Znajomość współrzędnych pozwala również na identyfikację kształtu geometrycznego istniejącego toru. Opisano moduły opracowanego programu komputerowego SATTRACK do wizualizacji, oceny i projektowania trasy kolejowej, obejmujące wizualizację przebiegu trasy kolejowej, ocenę odcinków prostych trasy, tworzenie poligonu kierunków głównych, ocenę odcinków trasy położonych w łuku oraz określanie kształtu osi eksploatowanego toru kolejowego. Scharakteryzowano również problem oceny efektów regulacji osi toru.
The article presents a summary of several years research of mobile satellite measurements in designing and exploitation of railway lines. Mobile satellite measurements consist of crossing railway and tram routes with a power car and outboard cars or two-axle boogies, on the top of them GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receivers are installed. The adopted research methodology and the measurements carried out in the rail and tram track are described. The accuracy of satellite measurements is also the issue of the analysis. It was proven that the optimal solution with maximum accuracy of determining the coordinates GNSS during the inventory of railway routes is currently the use of the Global Positioning System (in Russian: GLObalnajaNAwigacionnajaSiStema). Simultaneously, it is noted that the determination of the existing routes coordinates in the national reference system 2000 with the use of GNSS techniques leads to the need of verifying the existing designing methodology. The paper presents an assumptions of a new method of railway geometrical layout designing adapted to the techniques of satellite measurements. To resolve the designing issue, the universal system of equations describing the entire geometrical layout is determined. Furthermore, the identification of the geometrical layout of the existing track is enabled by the knowledge of the coordinates. The modules of ongoing software SATTRACK are described. This computer program is made to visualize, assess and design the railway layout. Moreover, it includes visualization of railway route planning, the evaluation of track straight sections, creating a major a polygon directions, evaluation of curved sections and the determination of the exploited railway track axis shape. The assessment of the railway track axis regulation effects are also a subject of the paper.

The article performed an empirical verification of the assumptions of the precision method of measuring the location of points using the GNSS - RTN method, the VRS and MAC corrections and the Leica Geosystem’s SmartNet network. Observations were made in three measuring cycles. The dates were selected in such a way as to ensure similar measurement and atmospheric conditions on each day. The results of the measurements are presented in the following article.

Opis:: This paper presents the results of studies on the determination of an aircraft’s trajectory and positioning accuracy. The PPP method was applied to determine the aircraft’s position in kinematic mode for code observations in the GPS system. Computations were executed in the “PPP_KINEMTIC” software, whose source code was written using the Scilab 5.3.2 platform. The PPP_KINEMTIC software allows for the latitude coordinate to be estimated with accuracy between 1 and 6 m, the longitude coordinate to be estimated with accuracy between 0.5 and 2.5 m, and the ellipsoidal height to be estimated with accuracy between 1 and 7 m. The average value of the MRSE term equals 5 m with a magnitude between 1 and 8.5 m. In the paper, general libraries of the PPP_KINEMTIC application were presented and the PPP method was characterized too.
