Opis:
We derive well-understood and well-studied subregular classes of formal languages purely from the computational perspective of algorithmic learning problems. We parameterise the learning problem along dimensions of representation and inference strategy. Of special interest are those classes of languages whose learning algorithms are necessarily not prohibitively expensive in space and time, since learners are often exposed to adverse conditions and sparse data. Learned natural language patterns are expected to be most like the patterns in these classes, an expectation supported by previous typological and linguistic research in phonology. A second result is that the learning algorithms presented here are completely agnostic to choice of linguistic representation. In the case of the subregular classes, the results fall out from traditional model-theoretic treatments of words and strings. The same learning algorithms, however, can be applied to model-theoretic treatments of other linguistic representations such as syntactic trees or autosegmental graphs, which opens a useful direction for future research.

Opis:
The article deals with constructing the discovery of the number of combinations. It stems from the approach of genetic constructivism, which works with the generic model theory, and its research goal was to develop the stages of isolated models, particularly using the phenomenon of isomorphism. Children aged 11–13 participated in the experiment during their mathematics club, in which they worked in groups at first and together at the blackboard afterwards. The results come from analyzing the experiment protocol and a video recording of part of the experiment. In this study, the authors focus primarily on a detailed analysis of individual sub-phases of isolated models under the generic model theory. The experiment highlights the importance of isomorphism as a generalization tool. The authors have identified the obstacles on the way to advanced sub-phases of isolated models. Another contribution is the division of the fourth sub-phase into two separate sub-phases, which has been achieved using the method of atomic analysis.

Opis:
We show that the poles of a resolvent coincide with the poles of its weak resolvent up to their orders, for operators on Hilbert space which have some cyclic properties. Using this, we show that a theorem similar to the Mlak theorem holds under milder conditions, if a given operator and its adjoint have cyclic vectors.

The notion of interpreted graphs based on Tarski's model theory is introduced. The bottom-up parsing algorithm for ETPR(k) graph grammars is defined.

Introduction. Meningitis is an infectious disease that seriously affects the health of the individual, can cause mortality and can be treated with emergency intervention. Aim. The aim of this study is to evaluate the holistic and systematic nursing care process of the patient with the diagnosis of meningitis on the basis of the described case, in line with the nursing model. Case Report. This is the case study of a male patient who was treated with the diagnosis of meningitis in the infectious diseases and clinical microbiology clinic. Nursing problems were determined and a care plan was created by interviewing the patient and his physician, observing and assessment with Model of Nursing Based on Activities of Living. Results. The patient, who has fever, chills, nausea, headache, neck stiffness and left ear discharge, was admitted to the Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology clinic and treated. NANDA-I (North American Nursing Diagnosis Association-International) nursing diagnoses determined specifically for the patient by using the Activities of Living Model developed by Roper, Logan and Tierney are acute pain, fever, nausea, lack of knowledge, fatigue, sleep pattern disruption and risk of falling. Conclusions. Accurate and complete data were collected using the nursing model/theory. Nursing interventions applied specifically to the patient were found to be effective. The patient’s problems were improved. Thanks to the interdisciplinary collaboration, a medical diagnosis of meningitis was made and appropriate medical treatment and nursing care was administered. The patient was discharged with recommendations for outpatient control.
Wstęp. Zapalenie opon mózgowych jest chorobą zakaźną, która poważnie wpływa na zdrowie jednostki, może powodować śmiertelność i może być leczona w trybie nagłym. Cel. Celem pracy jest ocena całościowego i systematycznego procesu opieki pielęgniarskiej nad pacjentem z rozpoznaniem zapalenia opon mózgowo-rdzeniowych na podstawie opisywanego przypadku, zgodnie z modelem pielęgniarskim. Opis przypadku. Jest to studium przypadku pacjenta płci męskiej leczonego z rozpoznaniem zapalenia opon mózgowo-rdzeniowych w poradni chorób zakaźnych i kliniki mikrobiologii klinicznej. Określono problemy pielęgniarskie i stworzono plan opieki poprzez przeprowadzenie wywiadu z pacjentem i jego lekarzem, obserwację i ocenę Model of Nursing Based on Activities of Living. Wyniki. Pacjent z gorączką, dreszczami, nudnościami, bólem głowy, sztywnością karku i wydzieliną z ucha lewego został przyjęty do Kliniki Chorób Zakaźnych i Mikrobiologii Klinicznej i leczony. NANDA-I (North American Nursing Diagnosis Association-International) diagnozy pielęgniarskie określone specjalnie dla pacjenta za pomocą Activities of Living Model opracowanego przez Ropera, Logana i Tierneya to ostry ból, gorączka, nudności, brak wiedzy, zmęczenie, zaburzenia snu i ryzyko upadku. Wnioski. Dokładne i kompletne dane zostały zebrane przy użyciu modelu/teorii pielęgniarskiej. Stwierdzono, że interwencje pielęgniarskie zastosowane specjalnie do pacjenta okazały się skuteczne. Problemy pacjenta uległy poprawie. Dzięki interdyscyplinarnej współpracy postawiono diagnozę medyczną zapalenia opon mózgowo-rdzeniowych oraz udzielono odpowiedniego leczenia i opieki pielęgniarskiej. Pacjent został wypisany z zaleceniami kontroli ambulatoryjnej.

Opis:
The purpose of this paper is to offer a logico‑philosophical critical overview of the theory of multiple realities (TWR). The paper is divided into three sections. In the first section I present a brief history of the development of some ideas, which combined together form the conceptual framework of the theory in question, whose main thesis is that there is more than one reality. In the second part I present (and try to address) some interpretations of TWR, which can be described as: ontological; epistemological; esthetical; logical ad mixed interpretations. When doing so, a special emphasis is laid on the presentation of an explication of TWR based on theory of models, an explication authored by Teresa Kostyrko. This explication rests on a conditional recognition of the particular ‘realities’ of Chwistek’s theory as proper models (i.e. those, which fulfill the condition of the identity of meaning of theory’s fundamental notions) of the theories of reality, with the provision that such models are indeed constructible. In the last section of my paper I propose a preliminary appraisal of the TWR as well as a way to reengineer this theory in order to avoid some of its difficulties. By appealing to Kostyrko’s idea on one hand and the spirit Quinean ontological relativism on the other, I wish to argue as follows: (1) ‘reality’ is the name of the set comprising all meanings of the term ‘reality’; (2) under particular conditions these meanings can be arranged in a theory, which posseses a proper model (scientific discourse, some forms of the common talk); (3) model proper designate by definition classes of objects, which we regard as existent on the grounds of a given theory. The above set of theses forms the core of a concept, which I propose to call the ‘manifold reality’ in order to differentiate it from TWR, the development of which theory it is, as well as its modification towards a new kind of ontology.
