Opis:: The aim of this article is to show the opportunities which new technologies offer in overcoming communication barriers in regards to people experiencing multiple disabilities. The solutions that new technologies bring can constitute one of the forms of resistance to the dominant model of perceiving disability and thus provide space for a particular resistance to the practices of discrimination and exclusion from the society of people experiencing disability, therefore entering into the emancipatory stream. Including the emancipation category into the emerging process of new technology allows us to create a broader theoretical context through which we can give it a new meaning - another dimension, i.e.: new technologies - emancipation ones: adopting such a vision gives new technology a technical dimension. By instilling the proposed position in the field of special education, we can contribute to the exploration of the potential that exists in every human-being regardless of the type or degree of specific disability.

Today’s children, so-called Digital Natives (digital natives), in contrast to their parents and teachers, who are called Digital Immigrants (digital immigrants), live in the world of media. Their childhood is strongly related to the TV. Afterwards they enter the world of the Internet, computer games, mobile phones. The tools that are in use are in their major part shaped by a man so the involvement of the younger generation in the world of the media has significant impact on the process of education. The article discusses the impact of the media on the formation of two types of intelligence — the cognitive and the emotional ones, that are most strongly associated with education. These effects have both the cultural and the neuronal level. The paper presents the process of education in the world dominated by media as a situation that educators are supposed to deal with, and takes into account the need to implement education for rational and responsible use of the media.

Opis:: This article presents the outcomes of the research conducted among teachers which main aim was the answer to the question about using information-communication technologies in the teaching process. Pursuant to them, it was stated that the degree of the use of modern technologies in the field of widely known school education is not satisfactory. However, the majority of respondents notice the necessity of functioning schools in digital sphere. The methods of work demand constant adopting to the changing environment, utilizing available resources in a creative way. The ubiquity of information-communication technologies imposes their consideration on successive generations as well as paying attention to skilful usage of contents conveyed through the agency of it. An educationalist aware of his role, should discern both negative and positive aspects of introducing modern technologies in the educational process, remembering that their skilful usage may contribute to the optimization of the learning process.

Opis:: The implementation of modern tools in the military system constitutes an important step in supporting the decision-making process. The impact of new GIS technologies is important for the assessment of the battlefield . According to assumptions, reconnaissance is a continuous process that crowns the assessment of the opponent and of the battlefield. Site assessment is an element of the command process where the conclusions of the task analysis includes an assessment of the potential opponent together with his modus operandi and an assessment of the environment . As part of the Information Preparation of the Battlefield (hereinafter referred to as IPB), the identification of threats and limitations has an impact on the identification of potential approach routes, traffic corridors and maneuvers in assigned areas and lanes . The end result is the determination of the maneuverability of forces and resources owned or those of the opponent. The information is to relate to the impact of the terrain components on the scope and nature of conducted activities, and the hydrometeorological conditions are to relate to the impact on the terrain, equipment, and people . As far as it regards the analysis of the environment and the opponent, it is possible to apply modern technologies to shorten the time for the analyses performed within the ongoing decision-making process.

Opis:: Purpose – The purpose of this article is to identify and indicate the basic issues of employee moni-toring that arise in the field of economic and legal sciences from the perspective of employers, such as the factors motivating employers to use various forms of employee monitoring, current conditions of such activities resulting from state law and the European Union law, as well as potential threats to employers using broadly understood monitoring. Research method – Dogmatic and statistical methods, the analysis of legal acts and research results, as well as literature studies and observations of practice were used to prepare the article.Results – The possibility of using modern technologies to monitor employees is an important tool in the pursuit of effective organization of working time, although there is a lack of studies showing whether the monitoring methods offered on the market actually increase work efficiency. The actual needs of employers with regard to various forms of monitoring are not reflected in the provisions of the Labor Code. Employers should approach employee monitoring with caution, because inapprop-riate actions in this area may have negative effects.Originality / value / implications / recommendations – The article concerns issues of significant impor-tance from the perspective of not only Poland, but also other European Union countries, current in the realities of the pandemic and based on the latest legal regulations.

Opis:: Every person is a participant of road traffic whether is a pedestrian or a driver and every one care about safe and easy movement in every season of year. Such requirements established by the users of roads and roadsides are being met by the use of new technologies and their appropriate management. During the winter maintenance of roads, snow fences are being used to prevent blowing snow on a road surface or at least to limit the amount of blown snow. In order to achieve this effect, snow fences made of wood were applied in the past, but during the development of technology and the emergence of new technological solutions, the former technology was changed by the replacement of wood by plastic material in the construction of snow fences. Comparing these two technologies shows the benefits of the technologies development and how its appropriate management influences in a positive way not only on road users, but also on lowering the snow fences production cost. Opis:: The proposal of introducing new technologies in the engineer academic teaching for the transport infrastructure engineering run at the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław since 2012 is presented. The attention was given to the two main issues: − improvement of attraction and effectiveness of professional internships, − introduction of digital tools in education of transport infrastructure engineers. The collaboration with research institutes and rail and road authorities in to order to realize master’s theses is proposed. The procedure of realization of the master’s thesis is analysed. The e-learning ideology was presented, in particular: the service system, the participants of e-learning system, authorization of participants, kinds of didactic materials and the manner of their preparation, the kinds of courses and evaluation systems (tests, analysis of tasks, and also the manner of assessment of participants activity, by means of e.g. a questionnaire). Special attention was give to didactic staff’s participation in courses on methods and techniques of distance education.

Sustainable development is an idea whose goal is to achieve sustainable and sustainable socio-economic and political development with respect and protection of the natural environment. In order to achieve its goal, the idea must become a necessity. Sustainable development is an interdisciplinary and multi-faceted issue, therefore this article presents how sustainable development can play a preventive role in the risk of social ties and relations in the information society era. Currently, the role of sustainable development in the sociopsychological aspect is little emphasized. The article deals with the issues of threats to social relations and ties that are generated by modern technologies appearing in the information society, distinguishing their psychological, technical, medical, legal, social and contemporary character, and at the same time combining the assumptions of sustainable development, which through preventive action may contribute to the social order in terms of balancing the development of relations between social ties in the real and virtual dimensions of human social life.
