Opis:
A neural network structure of Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) is proposed which could be used to predict the temperaturę and humidity of other key parts from the temperature and humidity data of some parts of the human body when wearing tight sportswear, so as to realize the temperature and humidity data prediction of all key points of the human body. The temperaturę and humidity of different people wearing tights were collected by DHT sensors. The experimental results show that the LSTM neural network structure proposed has higher prediction accuracy than other algorithms, and the model evaluates the feasibility of temperature and humidity data of tights in a state of motion, which facilitates the study of dynamic thermal and humid comfort and reduces the time cost of analyzing the temperature and humidity distribution and changing the law during human movement. It will effectively promote the study of temperature and humidity changes when people wear sports tights, provide theoretical reference for the study of human skin temperature in the field of sports medicine, and provide practical guidance for the application of human skin temperature changes in sports clothing production, diagnosis and prevention of sports injuries.

Opis:
Rat robots have great potential in rescue and search tasks because of their excellent motion ability. However, most of the current rat-robot systems relay on human guidance due to variable voluntary motor behaviour of rats, which limits their application. In this study, we developed a real-time system to detect a rat robot’s transient motion states, as the prerequisite for further study of automatic navigation. We built the detection model by using a wearable inertial sensor to capture acceleration and angular velocity data during the control of a rat robot. Various machine learning algorithms, including Decision Trees, Random Forests, Logistic Regression, and Support Vector Machines, were employed to perform the classification of motion states. This detection system was tested in manual navigation experiments, with detection accuracy achieving 96.70%. The sequence of transient motion states could be further used as a promising reference for offline behaviour analysis.

Opis:
In the paper, a pure nonlinear and damped two-mass oscillator excited with a periodical force is considered. The oscillator is modelled with a system of two coupled second order nonlinear and non-homogenous equations. Using the model, two problems are investigated: one, identification of the excitation force for the known vibrating response of the system, and the second, determination of vibrations of the system excited with the known periodical force. Using the steady-state motion of the nonlinear oscillator, a method for identification of the excitation force is developed. For the pure nonlinear oscillator, it is obtained that the forcing function has the form of the Ateb function. However, if the excitation force is known, the procedure for computing the steady-state vibration of the system is introduced. The solution corresponds to steady-state vibrations of the free oscillator, but the amplitude and phase are assumed to be time variable. The averaged solutions are obtained for the pure nonlinear oscillator with an additional linear elastic force and for the van der Pol oscillator. Analytically obtained solutions are compared with numerical ones. They are in good agreement.

Opis:
The application of computer simulation in vehicle research is relatively cheap and rapid method of investigation of dynamic phenomena occurring in vehicle motion. The important problem in using this method is identification of vehicle model parameters. The paper presents the results of road tests and computer simulations of selected maneuvers performed by vehicle. On the basis of road tests the side slip characteristics of front and rear axle of the vehicle were determined, both for steady-state and non-steady-state motion conditions. The obtained slip characteristics were used in computer simulation of selected maneuvers especially maneuvers of high dynamics. The results of calculation and road tests are presented as a form of plots of vehicle yaw velocity and side slip angles of front and rear axle. The results of simulation using steady-state and non-steady-state slip characteristics were compared with the results of road tests. Significant differences between calculations obtained for steady-state and non-steady-state characteristics were noticed. On the basis of comparison of simulation results and road measurements it can be stated that the application of side slip characteristics determined in non-steady-state conditions instead of static characteristics, brings the results of simulation closer to the results of measurements. Furthermore, it can be stated that the application of side slip characteristics obtained in the steady-state conditions applied in simulation of non-steady-state maneuvers may lead to considerable differences between the results of measurements and simulation.
Zastosowanie symulacji komputerowej w badaniach pojazdów jest coraz bardziej rozpowszechnione jako względnie tanie i szybkie źródło wiedzy o zjawiskach dynamicznych występujących w ruchu samochodu. Istotnym ograniczeniem stosowania tej metody jest możliwość pozyskiwania danych do modelu obliczeniowego pojazdu. W pracy przedstawione są wyniki badań drogowych oraz rezultaty symulacji komputerowej wybranych manewrów wykonywanych przez samochód. Na podstawie badań drogowych wyznaczono charakterystyki znoszenia kół przedniej i tylnej osi, przy czym charakterystyki wyznaczano zarówno dla ustalonych jak i nieustalonych stanów ruchu. Otrzymane charakterystyki znoszenia wykorzystano następnie w obliczeniach symulacyjnych wybranych manewrów, szczególnie manewrów o dużej dynamice. Jako wyniki symulacji przedstawiono przebiegi prędkości kątowej samochodu względem jego osi pionowej oraz kątów znoszenia kół przedniej i tylnej osi. Wyniki symulacji uzyskane dla różnego rodzaju charakterystyk znoszenia porównano z wynikami uzyskanymi z rzeczywistych realizacji tych samych manewrów. Stwierdzono znaczne różnice pomiędzy wynikami obliczeń otrzymanymi dla charakterystyk ustalonego i nieustalonego znoszenia. Z porównania wyników symulacji z wynikami badań drogowych wynika, że zastosowanie charakterystyk znoszenia wyznaczonych w warunkach nieustalonych daje wyniki bliższe wynikom pomiarów niż w przypadku zastosowania charakterystyk statycznych. Wykazano, że stosowanie w obliczeniach symulacyjnych nieustalonych stanów ruchu charakterystyk opon otrzymanych w warunkach ustalonych może prowadzić do znacznych rozbieżności pomiędzy wynikami pomiarów a wynikami symulacji komputerowej.

Opis:
The paper describes a nonlinear controller design technique applied to a servo drive in the presence of hard state constraints. The approach presented is based on nonlinear state-space transformation and adaptive backstepping. It allows us to impose hard constraints on the state variables directly and to achieve asymptotic tracking of any reference trajectory inside the constraints, despite unknown plant parameters. Two control schemes (with and without integral action) are derived, investigated and then compared. Several examples demonstrate the main features of the design procedure and prove that it may be applied in case of motion control problems in electric drive automation.

Background. The aim of the study was to explore the relationships among pain, motion of the cervical spine, duration of the current episode or number of previous episodes and psychological factors in patients with chronic cervical derangement syndrome. Material and methods. 63 patients with cervical radiculopathy who achieved centralization of symptoms during an examination participated in the study. Intensity of pain was rated on a visual analog scale (VAS). The McGill Pain Questionnaire was used to assess various aspects of pain, and CROM goniometer was used to analyze the motion of the cervical spine. Anxiety was measured using Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) while emotions were measured using Adjective Scale for Measuring Emotional State (SE-T Scale). Pearson’s r correlation was used in the statistical analysis. Results: Patients with higher level of trait and state anxiety are characterized by a higher intensity of overall pain and pain localized proximally to the cervical spine. Trait anxiety was positively correlated with all indexes of the McGill Pain Questionnaire and duration of the current episode. Negative emotions revealed positive relationships with the number of previous episodes or the intensity of cervical pain, and positive emotions correlated with the level of pain in the upper extremities. Trait and state anxiety negatively correlated with protraction. Conclusions. Multidisciplinary treatment ought to include activities aimed at reducing negative emotions of the patient through relaxation trainings or psycho-educational programs. Analysis of treatment efficacy should also include the emotional state of patients. Patients should be educated about the role of topography of symptoms in the diagnosis of cervical radiculopathy.
