Opis:: The article deals with the issue of controlling gangsterism, with particular emphasis on motorcycle gangs. The author presents current motorcycle crime in the United States. The main part of the study contains the characteristics of the most important police services and other agencies involved in combatting gangs in the United States. The conclusions of the article include some recommendations with regard to the opportunities for the Polish law enforcement agencies to use international experience in fighting motorcycle crime.

Opis:: W artykule omówione zostały tendencje rozwojowe oraz stosowane obecnie rozwiązania w nowoczesnych silnikach motocykli. Mniej rygorystyczne normy emisji spalin, oraz inne przeznaczenie silników są przyczyną znacznych rozbieżności konstrukcyjnych pomiędzy silnikami motocykli a pojazdów samochodowych. Wzrost zamożności społeczeństwa przyczynia się do zwiększenia popularności pojazdów jednośladowych, co jednocześnie niesie za sobą konieczność optymalizacji ich konstrukcji, w celu spełnienia wysokich wymagań odbiorcy.
The article discusses the development trends and the solutions currently used in modern engines of motorcycles. Less stringent exhaust emission standards, as well as other purpose engines are the cause of significant discrepancies between the design engines of motorcycles and cars. The increase in wealth of society contributes to the popularity of two-wheeled vehicles, which also entails the need to optimize their con-structure in order to meet the high customer requirements.

Opis:: The subject of the master’s thesis is "Motorcycle market analysis in Poland".This analysis showed that the investigated period 2008-2010 was a period of poor conditions on the motorcycle market. The high decrease of demand for motorcycles and scooters (39%) is the dominant effect of economic crisis at this time, which financially impoverished the society and limited outgoings to meet essential needs, putting off buying a motorcycle or scooter on the so-called "better times".In the master’s thesis was put hypothesis that "The development of motorcycle accessories market is dependent on formation of the motorcycle market." Based on the survey examined whether the hypothesis is true. For this purpose, according to the data Polish Automotive Industry Association, was analyzed the evolution of market demand for motorcycles and scooters in 2008-2010 and, according to the own business, was examined the demand for motorcycle accessories in the same period of time.The research has shown that downward trends in demand for the motorcycle market in the years 2008-2010 (down by 39%) are proportional to the demand for motorcycle accessories market (down 25%) in the same period of time, the hypothesis was put right.
Przedmiotem pracy jest „Analiza rynku motocyklowego w Polsce”.Analiza ta wykazała, że badane lata 2008-2010 to okres złej koniunktury na rynku motocyklowym. Wysoki spadek popytu na motocykle i skutery (39%) to efekt panującego w tym czasie kryzysu gospodarczego, który finansowo zubożył społeczeństwo i ograniczył wydatki do zaspokajania niezbędnych potrzeb, odkładając zakup motocykla czy skutera na tzw. „lepsze czasy”.W pracy została postawiona hipoteza „Rozwój rynku akcesoriów motocyklowych jest uzależniony od kształtowania się rynku motocyklowego”. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań sprawdzono, czy hipoteza jest prawdziwa. W tym celu, bazując na danych Polskiego Związku Przemysłu Motoryzacyjnego, przeanalizowano kształtowanie się popytu na rynku motocykli i skuterów w latach 2008-2010 oraz, bazując na prowadzonej działalności, przeanalizowano popyt na akcesoria motocyklowe w tym samym okresie czasu.Badania wykazały, że spadkowe trendy popytu na rynku motocyklowym w latach 2008-2010 (spadek o 39%) znajdują proporcjonalne przełożenie na spadek popytu na rynku akcesoriów motocyklowych ( spadek o 25%) w tym samym okresie czasu, czyli postawiona hipoteza okazała się słuszna.

Opis:: The present paper aims at analyzing one of the most recent Divov’s stories entitled Рыжий пес Иж (2016). The text is interesting both due to its literary genre hybridity (it embraces elements of a melodrama, a horror story, a detective story, urban fantasy and a fairy tale) and the topics it touches upon (especially animalistic issues). Divov deploys the well-known literary and cinematic motif of a soul penetrating an object and creates a story of motorcycle haunted by a dog’s soul. Due to its original solutions (inter alia referring to films) Divov’s story is an interesting work illustrating the permanent interrelations between literatures and movies as well as the author’s exploration within this scope. Moreover, the manner of creating the animal character and placing it within the structure allow for including Divov’s story into the group of contemporary literary works reflecting the proanimal trends in Russian culture.

Opis:: Introduction: Motorcycles in Poland become more and more popular also as convenient means of transport, especially in large cities. Factors influencing on driver during riding the motorcycle are assumed to cause spinal pain in motorcyclist. These factors may vary in motorcycles of different construction or purpose. Few information is available about spinal pain connected with riding a motorcycle. The aim of this study was the assessment of occurrence and intensity of spinal pain in motorcyclists depending on motorcycle type. Material and methods: The study group consisted of 2,124 motorcyclists aged 19-79 yrs., using motorcycle with an engine size bigger than 50 ccm and participating in minimum 1 riding season. An original, on-line available questionnaire composed of questions regarding riding a motorcycle and ailments of all parts of the spine was used. The results underwent statistical analysis using the Statistica 10.0. Results: The results showed that 58.4% respondents experienced pain of at least one part of spine during riding the motorcycle. The biggest percentage (51.1%) of persons with spinal pain in general was found out in cross/enduro type users. Neck pain was significantly connected with riding the sport motorcycle (p=0.001). Conclusions: Spinal pain in motorcyclists depends on the motorcycle type.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono przykład zastosowania oryginalnej konstrukcji złożonego napędu w motocyklu. Przekładnia ta stanowi połączenie łańcuchowej oraz stożkowej przekładni zębatej. Na podstawie opracowanego projektu, z wykorzystaniem systemu CAD, wykonano jej model fizyczny i wmontowano do motocykla Dniepr 16 z wózkiem bocznym.
This article presents an example of using the original design complex drive of a motorcycle. This gear is a combination of chain and bevel gears. Based on developed project, using the CAD system, the physical model was made and incorporated into Dniepr 16 motorcycle with a sidecar.

Opis:: The purpose of this publication is to present the construction and adaptation of the test stand intended for motorcycle simulation research. The stand is designed to study the impact of motorcycle vibrations that act on the body of the driver and passenger. Motorcycles belong to one of the types of transport that directly affects users. Excessive vibrations transmitted to the body of the driver and passenger can make driving uncomfortable and even dangerous. The vibrations of motorcycles depend mainly on the technical condition of the vehicle, the structure of the vehicle, and the construction of the engine. The stand was built on the basis of a hydraulic power supply unit, distributor, and electrohydraulic pulsators. The purpose of the construction of the stand is to examine a given group of motorcycles to learn and eliminate vibrations that occur in various areas of motorcycles and affect the comfort, health, and safety of motorcycle travelers. Test studies of the presented stand are presented in this article. The preliminary results of the simulation tests determined the possibility of testing individual elements and motorcycles on the laboratory stand.

Opis:: Użytkowanie motocykli powoduje bezpośrednie oddziaływanie drgań i hałasu na ich użytkowników. Jednym z istotnych zagrożeń jest wysoki poziom dźwięku docierający do narządu słuchu motocyklisty i pasażera. Kaski motocyklowe oprócz zapewnienia ochrony głowy, powodują również ograniczenie poziomu dźwięku na który narażeni są użytkownicy motocykli. Jak wynika z badań autorów wybór rodzaj kasku ma istotny wpływ na poziom zagrożenia hałasem. W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań stanowiskowych, których celem była ocena jak zmienia się poziom i charakterystyka częstotliwościowa dźwięku docierającego do przewodu słuchowego motocyklisty w zależności od rodzaju kasku który wykorzystuje.
The use of motorcycles directly affects their users through vibration and noise. One of the major threats is the high level of sound that reaches the hearing organ of the motorcyclist and the passenger. Motorcycle helmets, in addition to protecting the head, also reduce the level of noise that motorcyclists are exposed to. As results from the authors' research, the choice of the type of helmet has a significant impact on noise exposure levels. The paper presents the results of stand tests which aimed at assessing how the level and frequency characteristics of the sound reaching the motorcyclist's ear canal change depending on the type of helmet they are using.

The thesis deals with the subject of motorcycle accidents, with particular emphasis on their causes. The analysis of the phenomenom of motocycle accidents is based on research condected in the USA, the European Union and Poland. The paper presents examples of road situations in which a motorcycle accident occurred, together with conclusions on how a motorcyclist should behave in order to avoid an accident. The issue of forensic analysis of traces at the scene of a road accident is also presented in this thesis.
