Opis:: This paper presents the methodology and performance of an ionospheric quality indicator in the Network RTK. A new index called Zenith Ionospheric Residual Interpolation Uncertainty, which is an extension of the existing indicator is proposed and evaluated using the reference station test network. The dataset used for this study was collected during ionospheric storm period in order to test the indicator during disturbed ionospheric conditions. The test results show that the proposed indicator provides a realistic prediction of ionospheric interpolation accuracy and can be used to predict the Network RTK performance at rover location.

Opis:: With the developing technology and increasing construction, the importance of structural observations, which are of great significance in disaster management, has increased. Geodetic methods have been preferred in recent years due to their high accuracy and ease of use in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) Surveys. In this study, harmonic oscillation tests have been carried out on a shake table to determine the usability of the Single Base and the Network Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) method in SHM studies. It is aimed to determine the harmonic movements of different amplitudes and frequencies created by the shake table with 20 Hz multi-GNSS equipment. The amplitude and frequency values of the movements created using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Time Series Analysis have been calculated. The precision of the analysis results has been determined by comparing the LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) data, which is the position sensor of the shake table, with the GNSS data. The advantages of the two RTK methods over each other have been determined using the calculated amplitude and frequency differences. As a result of all experiments, it has been determined that network and single base RTK GNSS methods effectively monitor structural behaviours and natural frequencies.

Opis:: More than half of the incidents reported to EMSA relate to nautical events such as collision, groundings and contacts. Knowledge of accurate and high-integrity positioning is therefore not only a need for future automated shipping but a base for today’s safe navigation. Examples on accidents include Ever Given in the Suez Canal and HNoMS Helge Ingstad in Norway. A Network-RTK (NRTK) service can be used as an augmentation technique to improve performance of shipborne GNSS receivers for future positioning of manned and unmanned vessels in restricted areas, such as port areas, fairways, and inland water ways. NRTK service providers generate RTK corrections based on the observations of networks of GNSS reference stations which enables the users to determine their position with centimeter accuracy in real-time using a shipborne GNSS receiver. Selection of appropriate communication channels for dissemination of NRTK corrections data is the key to a secure positioning (localization) service. In PrePare-Ships project, the modern maritime communication system VDES (VHF Data Exchange System) is proposed to distribute SWEPOS (NRTK in Sweden) correction data to shipborne positioning modules. VDES is a very reliable technique and it is compatible with most onboard functionalities. In order to minimize the impact on the overall VDES data capacity in a local area, NRTK correction data shall only occupy a single VDES slot with a net capacity of 650 bytes. Update rates may vary but are preferably at 1Hz. However, NRTK correction data size changes instantly, depending on the number of visible GNSS satellites, and the data rate can therefore sometimes reach in excess of 1000 byte/s. In this study, a smart technique is proposed to reduce size of NRTK correction data to instantly adapt with the VDES requirements by choosing a combination of specific signals, satellites or even constellations such that the data rate is not more than 650 byte/s, and at the same time it achieves optimal positioning performance with the accuracy required by the PrePare-Ships project application.

Opis:: W pracy przeprowadzono ocenę faktycznej dokładności uzyskiwanych wyników pomiarów w oparciu o proponowaną technologię. W tym celu wykonano wielokrotnie powtarzalne pomiary satelitarne techniką RTK na kilkunastu punktach kontrolnych sieci EUREF-POL i POLREF. Dodatkowo w pomiarach wykorzystano różne typy poprawek oferowanych przez Małopolski System Pozycjonowania Satelitarnego. Do oceny jakości uzyskanych wyników zastosowano wybrane statystyczne testy zgodności, rozkładów błędów. Rezultaty opracowania numerycznego doświadczalnych pomiarów pozwoliły w obecnym etapie na ogólne stwierdzenie, że uzyskiwane dokładności pomiarów w czasie rzeczywistym mieszczą się w granicach 1–3 cm dla pozycji horyzontalnej oraz 1–5 cm dla wysokości, co odpowiada podstawowym założeniom budowanego systemu. Ponadto zauważono, że przy wykorzystaniu tej technologii unikamy problemów związanych z zasięgiem radia oraz zakłóceniami jego sygnału w stosunku do klasycznie realizowanej technologii RTK.
The main aim of the thesis was the evaluation of actual accuracy of survey results obtained by using suggested technology. In this purpose satellite measurements realized by RTK technique have been repeated many times on several control points of EUREF-POL and POLREF network. Additionally, few different types of corrections offered by Satellite Positioning System of Ma opolska were used in measurements. For estimate of the quality of obtained results, statistical tests of goodness of fit distribution of errors, have been applied. The results of numerical analysis of experimental measurements allowed, on present stage, to general state, that obtained real time measurements accuracies are contained in 1–3 cm limit in horizontal position and 1–5 cm limit in vertical, that corresponds to basic guidelines of the created system. Moreover, it has been determined by using this technology we avoid problems with the radio range and disturbances of its signal in comparison with the traditionally realized RTK method.

Opis:: The paper presents the results of real time measurements of test geodetic control network points using the RTK GPS and RTX Extended technologies. The Trimble RTX technology uses the xFill function, which enables real measurements without the need for constant connection with the ASG EUPOS system reference stations network. Comparative analyses of the results of measurements using the methods were performed and they were compared with the test control network data assumed to be error-free. Although the Trimble RTX technology is an innovative measurement method which is rarely used now, the possibilities it provides in surveying works, including building geodetic control networks, are satisfactory and it will certainly contribute to improving the organisation of surveying works.
W pracy przedstawiono wyniki pomiarów w czasie rzeczywistym punktów osnowy testowej z wykorzystaniem technologii RTK GPS oraz RTX Extended. W technologii Trimble RTX wykorzystano funkcję xFill, która daje możliwości realnego wykonywania pomiaru bez konieczności stałej łączności z siecią stacji referencyjnych systemu ASG EUPOS. Wykonano analizy porównawcze wyników pomiaru między metodami oraz odniesiono je do danych osnowy testowej, przyjętych za bezbłędne. Choć technologia Trimble RTX jest innowacyjną metodą pomiaru i jeszcze rzadko stosowaną, to możliwości jakie daje w realizacjach prac geodezyjnych, w tym zakładaniu osnów pomiarowych, są bardzo zadawalające i z pewnością przyczyni się do jeszcze lepszej i bardziej ekonomicznej organizacji prac geodezyjnych.

Opis:: A short analysis of the behaviour of the spatial coordinates of eccentric points KRA8 and KRA9 of the KRAW permanent geodesic station in the ASG EUPOS system over time was conducted. Measurements were conducted on eccentric points in real time in RTK GPS mode, over several measuring cycles. Two GPS receivers of various manufacturers were applied for research measurements. Obtained measurement results - spatial coordinates - were related to values accepted as error free, obtained from the ETRV 2000 measuring campaign.
W pracy dokonano krótkiej analizy kształtowania się w czasie współrzędnych przestrzennych punktów ekscentrycznych KRA8 i KRA9 stacji permanentnej KRAW systemu ASG EUPOS. Wykonano pomiary na punktach ekscentrycznych w czasie rzeczywistym w trybie RTK GPS w kilku cyklach pomiarowych. Do pomiarów badawczych zastosowano dwa odbiorniki GPS różnych producentów. Uzyskane wyniki pomiarów - współrzędne przestrzenne - odniesiono do wartości przyjętych za bezbłędne, otrzymanych z kampanii pomiarowej ETRV 2000.

Opis:: The present work discusses the issue of determining geodetic control network in order to monitor the condition of power lines. The problem was presented using the example of the physical survey of an actual infrastructure – a high voltage power line. Difficult terrain conditions constituted a significant factor for determining an appropriate measurement method. The measurement itself was conducted using two methods, independently of one another: the classical traverse method, and the RTK (Real Time Kinematic) GPS method. The following criteria were assumed for the purpose of the comparison: measurement effectiveness and the accuracy of the calculation result. Basic monitoring procedures of power lines were also presented, implemented based on the measurement network established beforehand.

Opis:: W artykule zaprezentowano technologię modernizacji ewidencji gruntów i budynków z zastosowaniem satelitarnej technologii GPS. Przeprowadzenie modernizacji ewidencji odbywa się na podstawie materiałów archiwalnych oraz nowych współrzędnych punktów wówczas założonej osnowy geodezyjnej, które uzyskuje się w wyniku wzmocnienia starej sieci osnowy geodezyjnej pomiarami GPS. Efektem końcowym przeprowadzonej modernizacji jest numeryczna mapa ewidencji gruntów i budynków oraz wykaz powierzchni działek obliczonych automatycznie na podstawie danych tworzących mapę numeryczną. W dalszej części artykułu opisano metodę RTK umożliwiającą wyznaczenie współrzędnych punktów z centymetrową dokładnością w dowolnie zdefiniowanym układzie współrzędnych oraz możliwość wykorzystania tej metody w pracach związanych z modernizacją ewidencji gruntów i budynków.
In his paper, a new technology for land and buildings registration modernization supported by GPS (Global Positioning System) technique is presented. The modernization is based on archival materials and new coordinates of the reference network. The new coordinates are provided through strengthening an existing reference network with new points derived from GPS survey. As the result of the modernization, a numeric map of parcel and building cadastre together with the list of parcel areas calculated from numeric map data is provided. The authors provide also insight into RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) GPS technique that allows for centimeter-level point surveying in any user-defined reference frame. The feasibility of using RTK GPS technique for works related to cadastre modernization is also discussed.

Opis:: VRSNET jest komercyjną aktywną siecią geodezyjną składającą się ze stacji referencyjnych znajdujących się na terytorium Polski oraz na terytorium państw sąsiednich. W pracy przedstawiono analizę przestrzenną lokalizacji stacji permanentnych VRSNET, których anteny i odbiorniki satelitarne w sposób ciągły odbierają i rejestrują sygnały transmitowane przez GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems). Rozważania skupiły się na delimitacji obszaru Polski pod względem potencjalnego zasięgu średniego poszczególnych stacji. W badaniach wykorzystano analizy przestrzenne m.in. diagram Voronoi/Thiessen (tesselacje Dirichleta) oraz bufory przestrzenne. W pracy oceniono geometrię sieci VRSNET dla potrzeb wykonywania pomiarów techniką Real Time Kinematic (RTK) z wykorzystaniem wektorów bazowych opartych wyłącznie na analizowanych stacjach. Podjęto także dyskusję dotyczącą możliwego rozwoju sieci VRSNET poprzez uruchomienie nowych stacji referencyjnych. W wyniku przeprowadzonych analiz przestrzennych wskazano lokalizację i zasięg obszarów wymagających zagęszczenia sieci VRSNET. W obszarach określonych w toku delimitacji powierzchni Polski wskazano lokalizacje 16 nowych stacji referencyjnych. W celu walidacji zagęszczoną o nowoprojektowane stacje sieć VRSNET poddano ponownej ocenie z użyciem diagramu Voronoi/Thiessena oraz buforów przestrzennych. Otrzymane wyniki porównano z parametrami dotyczącymi państwowej sieci ASG-EUPOS (Active Geodetic Network – European Position Determination System). Wykazano wynikającą z zaproponowanego scenariusza rozbudowy sieci VRSNET poprawę parametrów pomiarów techniką RTK. Zagęszczenie sieci może także wpływać pozytywnie na wyniki pomiarów techniką Network Real Time Kinematic (RTN).
The VRSNET is a commercial active geodetic network of reference stations deployed on Polish territory and in neighbouring countries. The paper presents a spatial analysis of locations of VRSNET permanent stations whose antennas and satellite receivers continuously record signals transmitted by Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). The study focused on delimiting the potential average range of individual stations in Poland. Spatial analyses, including Voronoi/Thiessen diagram (Dirichlet tessellations) and spatial buffers were used in the research. The study evaluated the geometry of the VRSNET network for the Real Time Kinematic (RTK) measurements that use base vectors solely from the analysed stations. Possible development of the VRSNET network through launching new reference stations was elaborated, too. The spatial analyses indicated the localisation and range of areas with an insufficient density of the VRSNET network. The locations of 16 new reference stations have been delimited on Polish territory. The VRSNET network with newly designed stations was reassessed for validation using the Voronoi/Thiessen diagram and spatial buffers. The results were compared with the parameters for the Active Geodetic Network – European Position Determination System (ASG-EUPOS). Improved RTK measurement geometric parameters resulting from the proposed scenario of the VRSNET network development have been demonstrated. Network density can also have a positive impact on the measurement results of the Network Real Time Kinematic (NRTK).

Opis:: W pracy przedstawiono wyniki analizy różnic współrzędnych kilku punktów testowych wyznaczonych 3345 razy z satelitarnych pomiarów RTN w stosunku do współrzędnych referencyjnych wyznaczonych z minimum dwóch dwunastogodzinnych sesji statycznych. Pomiary przeprowadzono w odniesieniu do wszystkich funkcjonujących w Polsce naziemnych systemów satelitarnych danych referencyjnych, tj. ASG-EUPOS, NadowskiNET, SmartNet, TPINetPRO, VRSNet.pl, wykorzystując do wyznaczania pozycji w czasie rzeczywistym dostępne w nich strumienie danych referencyjnych: stacje fizyczne, VRS, MAC, FKP. Celem pracy było porównanie wyników sieciowych satelitarnych pomiarów kinematycznych w czasie rzeczywistym RTN nawiązanych do różnych systemów referencyjnych pod kątem możliwości występowania różnic współrzędnych o charakterze systematycznym między systemami oraz precyzji wyników w danym systemie.
The paper presents the results of the analysis of the differences in the coordinates of several test points determined 3345 times from satellite RTN measurements in relation to the reference coordinates of at least two twelve hours static sessions. Measurements were carried out for all terrestrial satellite reference systems operating in Poland, ie ASG-EUPOS, NadowskiNET, SmartNet, TPINetPRO, VRSNet.pl using real-time reference data streams: physical stations, VRS, MAC, FKP. The aim of the study was to compare the results of real-time RTN satellite kinematic satellites related to different reference systems in terms of the possibility of systematic differences between systems and the precision of results in a given system.
