Opis:: In the paper, we describe a "plug-and-play" configuration of nodes of a tactical network on the basis of XML configuration templates and a network plan, developed during the network planning process. We present the concept of a configuration repository, an XML-based database that stores network structure and configuration data, and describe how the Simple Network Management Protocol is used to apply the settings to network devices. We also comment on a possible use of the next-generation NETCONF protocol for such a task.

Opis:: PURPOSE: This paper aims to introduce a general all-embracing taxonomy of networks and its relevant strategies to facilitate the teaching and learning of the strategic concepts of networks in strategic management. METHODOLOGY: To fulfill its intention, the paper has adopted a systematic literature review (SLR), since the introduced taxonomy and its corresponding strategies should be a compendious reflection and summary of the current literature of the studies on strategic networks. RESULTS: The paper unfolded seven potential configurations of the networks and then proceeded with the proposition of their relevant strategies with regard to the networks’ relationships and forms. These networks were named as Reciprocally Interdependent Networks, Sequentially Interdependent Networks, Partnering Networks, Complementary (Overlapping) Networks, Supporting (Logistic) Networks, Distributing Networks, and Co-Innovation Knowledge-Sharing Networks. Their corresponding network strategies were identified as Multi-Level Promotion Strategy, Just-In-Time Strategy, Network Partnership Strategy, Compensatory Strategy, Network Logistic Strategy, Distributing Network Strategy, and Network R&D Strategy, respectively. IMPLICATIONS FOR THEORY AND PRACTICE: Systematics or a system of classification is a fundamental necessity in any field of knowledge, benefiting both academia and learners. Accordingly, this paper provides a comprehensive but concise means of classifying networks and their strategies to overcome the paucity still existing in the literature. These efforts invite future research and conversation about networks and network strategies, proposing a guiding framework for the debate. ORIGINALITY AND VALUE: Lack of consensus about theories and conceptualizations in strategic network studies became an inspiration for this research, which allowed for the clarification of the mentioned existing paucity.

Opis:: Introduction/background: The article presents a literature analysis related to the concept of distribution network configuration. The main determinants of network configuration and their impact on key solutions used in networks are also indicated. As a key solution related to the correct management of demand, including forecasting, the author considered centralisation in networks. The article also presents the results of research carried out on 5 distribution networks, in which the correlations between the elements of their configuration and the results of forecasts made using the tool previously created by the author are examined. Aim of the paper: The purpose of the article is to present the concept of distribution network configuration in the conditions of centralised demand forecasts, with the central unit at the level of logistics operator. In addition, the article will consider the hypothesis regarding whether the configuration of the distribution network affects the accuracy of forecasts. Materials and methods: The purpose of the article and verification of the hypothesis was carried out with the help of literature studies, results of the conducted case study, and on the basis of the results of forecasts obtained using the prognostic tool created by the author in the R environment. Results and conclusions: The article demonstrates the basic ability of a logistics operator, working in MDP in the distribution network, to make forecasts and analyse the distribution network. In addition to that, the article presents results indicating that a properly selected configuration of the distribution network has a positive effect on the accuracy of forecasts contained in it.

Opis:: W artykule omówiony został projekt stanowiska, celem którego jest zobrazowanie konfiguracji lokalnej sieci bezprzewodowej opartej na standardzie IEEE 802.11. Do tego celu zastosowano dwa urządzenia nadawczo-odbiorcze, wystarczające do pokrycia zadanego obszaru – małej firmy transportowej. Omówiony jest proces konfiguracji, opis kluczowych parametrów oraz efekt końcowy w postaci wykonanego mostu opartego na standardzie IEEE 802.11.
Paper discussed the design of the workstation, which will demonstrate the configuration of the wireless local area network based on the IEEE 802.11 standard. For this purpose, two routers were used, sufficient to cover a given area – small transport company. The configuration process, description of key parameters and the final effect in the form of a completed Wi-Fi bridge are discussed.

Tytuł:: Application to generate configurations for routers based on Vyatta software
Aplikacja do generowania konfiguracji dla routerów opartych o oprogramowanie Vyatta

Opis:: This master's thesis is showing how to create virtual computer networks using freeware kit. After analysing various propositions, such as Linux or Quagga, I decided to use the Vyatta software. it allows you to create many virtual routers on PC computers. The virtualization can be implement by using solutions which are offered by few companies like Oracle. To make this master’s thesis it was used the Virtual Box virtual machine. The main target was to make simple user's interface, which would be used to configure a virtual router using very simple instructions. This solution makes using Vyatta much easier for those users, who do not know the interface. Instructions can be made in any text editor. The application has a simple user interface which is available through the website. Thanks to this site it is possible not only to upload and remove files but also to display and edit them. The configuration is generated in the moment, when the user needs it. To get the prepared configuration file for Vyatta, user has to download the shell script from the server and then run it with proper parameters. During this operation the URL will be generated. Using this address and the GET method of http protocol the script sends the request to the server. The configuration is generated on the basis of the input file and the router number. This is important because of the fact that in one document there are instructions for all routers which are needed to create the network. This solution allows to integrated creating network of many virtual routers. When the application was finished it was tested by using a exemplary connection between the Vyatta router and physical one. Tests ended with a great success. It is worth to notice that the application is made in such a way that enables its development in the future. It is quite possible that it will be a necessary to add handling of another protocols or services.
W pracy magisterskiej został poruszony problem tworzenia wirtualnych sieci komputerowych w oparciu o darmowe narzędzia. Po przeanalizowaniu różnych propozycji, takich jak Linux czy Quagga, wybrałam oprogramowanie Vyatta. Pozwala ono na tworzenie wirtualnych routerów na komputerach klasy PC. Wirtualizację można realizować dzięki rozwiązaniom proponowanym przez kilka firm, między innymi przez Oracle. Do celów niniejszej pracy wykorzystano maszynę wirtualną Virtual Box wspomnianego producenta. Celem pracy magisterskiej było stworzenie prostego interfejsu użytkownika, dzięki któremu można skonfigurować wirtualny router przy użyciu prostych instrukcji. Dzięki temu użytkownik nie musi znać poleceń specyficznych dla routerów Vyatta. Instrukcje są przekazywane do programu przy użyciu prostych plików tekstowych, które można tworzyć w dowolnym edytorze tekstu. Aplikacja posiada intuicyjny interfejs użytkownika dostępny przez stronę internetową. Dzięki niemu możliwe jest nie tylko dodawanie i usuwanie plików, ale również ich wyświetlanie oraz modyfikowanie bezpośrednio z poziomu strony internetowej. Generowanie konfiguracji odbywa się dopiero w momencie, gdy użytkownik tego potrzebuje. W celu pobrania gotowego pliku konfiguracyjnego rozumianego przez Vyattę jest konieczne zainstalowanie wirtualnego routera, pobranie skryptu z serwera oraz jego wywołanie z odpowiednimi parametrami. Podczas uruchamiania skryptu generowany jest adres URL, który przy pomocy metody GET protokołu http żąda wygenerowania odpowiedniej konfiguracji. Jest ona tworzona zawsze na podstawie nazwy pliku, w którym zawierają się odpowiednie dane oraz numeru routera, dla którego użytkownik chce pobrać dane. Informacja taka jest istotna ze względu na to, że w pliku zapisane są informacje o wszystkich potrzebnych routerach. Pozwala to na zintegrowane tworzenie sieci złożonej z wielu maszyn. Po zakończeniu prac komunikacja routera Vyatta z fizycznym sprzętem sieciowym została przetestowana, co zakończyło się powodzeniem. Warto zauważyć, że aplikacja jest stworzona w sposób, który umożliwia jej rozwój w przyszłości. W razie potrzeby można zaimplementować obsługę dodatkowych protokołów lub usług.

Opis:: This paper examines the liberalisation and the regional air network configuration from Nigeria to other West African regions. It aims to study the impacts of liberalisation on the regional spatial structure of air networks from Nigeria to West Africa in the pre and post-liberalisation. The pre-liberalisation covers between 1988-2000, and the post-liberalisation ranges from 2001 to 2018. The methodology involves using the graph theory to calculate the route and the network topology in the pre and post-liberalisation and compare the resulting index. This hypothesis was tested using the alpha index. The alpha index analysis compares the level of connection in a pre-and post-liberalisation network via graphical depictions of each period’s route and network structure and the resulting alpha index. The pre-liberalisation alpha index for the route and network was 0.297, while the post-liberalisation alpha index was 0.334. The alpha index ranged from 0 to 1 and was the perfect network for the post‐liberalisation period. In post-liberalisation, the alpha index of the route and network are higher than in pre-liberalisation. Hence, the connection is better in post-liberalisation.

The changes in modern economy involve new ways of creating value for customers. The aim of the article is to identify the most important methods of value creation in SPA services sector. In the first part of the article based on the literature review the fundamental categories of value configuration are presented. The second part of the article, based on the secondary sources, includes the illustrative case studies of key categories of value configuration in SPA services sector.
