Opis:: The article focuses on the issue of the possibility of using modern technologies in the education and pedagogical therapy of students with developmental dyslexia. The article draws attention to the difficulties experienced by students with developmental dyslexia in contact with modern technologies due to the specificity of their functioning, which consists in the fact that their problems “do not manifest themselves only within the letter system, but apply to all character systems (symbols), which exist to denote (naming, ordering) the existing reality. This also applies to codes that regulate the use of certain symbols, in other words – dyslexia causes difficulties with the use of symbols and the abstraction and application of rules for the use of these symbols. Both letters and numbers, notes, Morse code, numeric time stamping, etc”.

Opis:: The article deals with the normative patterns of communication of judges in a theoretical perspective. Their identification is thus taken as a universal problem, occurring in all legal cultures and regardless of current disputes concerning them. It is assumed that normative patterns of communication among judges are built on the understanding of the role of the judge and the place of the judiciary within checks and balances. Based on the assumption that the role of judges and the status of the judiciary have evolved, three successive historical models of judicial communication were proposed, i.e. the first model – impersonal, the second – self restrained, and the third – accurate communication. The thesis was also put forward that the last of the models may prove to be inadequate in the face of contemporary challenges, resulting primarily from cultural changes driven by the development of new communication technologies.

Opis:: The exponential growth of technological advancements creates an environment in which the traditionally conceived cognitive enhancement – education – must constantly redefine itself in the face of the invasive presence of A.I., the social media and various biotechnologies that strive to augment the effect-oriented performance. Whereas on the conceptual level there is a visible shift from the static to flow-modelled education, and the rising trend to invest in the skills like flexibility and creativity, not many of emerging technologies are seriously considered as educational tools. The paper looks into the varieties of cognitive enhancement within educational context. Of major concern are the already available technologies of collective intelligence and nootropics, as well as experimental dowloadable learning. I review the problems occasioned by these technologies, as well as the existing solutions, which tend to incorporate rather than exclude the possibilities of radical cognitive enhancement.

Opis:: If we look back, evaluating the last two centuries, the productive environments of our societies have experienced several industrial revolutions that caused great changes in production and that, in turn, generated important changes in societies at all times. Likewise, the digital transformation that has been incorporated into the bases of companies, each one in its measure, has not yet reached its maximum potential, but it has changed the way we live and, therefore, the way we work. Historically, automation has come from the hand of specialization, not because of the manufacture of tractors the land has been stopped, but more has been produced and that production has been managed in favor of employment and economic health. Technological transformations hand in hand with digitalization and artificial intelligence generate opportunities, but they also represent a threat to a good part of traditional jobs and professions, since changes are rapid and the impact of new technologies is much greater; thus, the change in the training and qualification of workers is necessary. Like the looms in the 18th century and the production models at the beginning of the 20th, digital transformation is our present, but it will be much more powerful in the future, as it entails and will entail a redefinition of the labor market and the law that governs it. regulates. Globalization and technological changes have generated a need to address labor law from a global perspective; Furthermore, this right must not only be active, but also effective, solid, in accordance with international decent work standards.

Innovative approaches to language development are often considered necessary in the digital age. Does however the investment we are making in new technologies give us proper value for money? Many researches have already pointed out that the new technologies do not have any intrinsic value and just their use does not guarantee success in mastering a language. In order to stimulate acquisition they have to be seamlessly integrated into process of learning. In our study we wanted to find out what approach to new technologies (their presence and role in classroom practice) take three groups of people involved in language learning/teaching process; namely, experienced teachers, future teachers and present pupils as older teachers are very often regarded as people who are “technology unfriendly”, pupils on the other hand are normally perceived as enthusiast of every innovation.

Opis:: The domination of new technologies in the lives of children and the youth leads to its consideration in the context of threats and a potential negative influence on adolescents’ functioning. Considering various threats occurring in the virtual space, first of all it is indicated that the Internet, due to apparent anonymity, is often the space of mutual aggression, mocking and attempts to discredit other net users. The presented study refers to the analysis of behaviours being a demonstration of cyberbullying. The research was conducted in conformity with the quantity-quality paradigm. It involved a method of diagnostic survey using the technique of a questionnaire and documents analysis. As the conducted study showed, cyberbullying is a phenomenon which often occurs among contemporary teenagers. The examined persons were most often victims or witnesses of verbal aggression in the net.

Opis:: Cybersecurity is closely related to the issue of artificial intelligence. The starting point for its presentation in the EU perspective seems to be the Communication from the Commission to the European Parliament, the Council, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions entitled „Artificial Intelligence for Europe”. This communication was preceded by the European Economic and Social Committee’s own-initiative opinion „Artificial intelligence: the impact of artificial intelligence on the (digital) single market, production, consumption, employment and society”. In the body of this opinion, the European Economic and Social Committee concluded that there is no single accepted and rigid definition of artificial intelligence.

Opis:: Nowadays, we are noticing more and more new technological solutions that fit into the field of sensory marketing, the implementation of which is in a relatively preliminary stage. They are intended to improve customer experience. The main objective of the research is to determine the main topics covered in the literature. This article covers a systematic literature review of research conducted to date on new technologies that are part of the field of sensory marketing related to customer experience. The research search was based on two databases: Scopus and Web of Science Core Collections. Studies conducted between 2007 and May 2022 were included. Four inclusion criteria were used: database, terms, language, and cover period. No methods were used to assess the risk of bias in the included studies. 33 items of literature were qualified for qualitative synthesis. Based on the analysis, a conceptual framework of the most commonly used antecedents and outcomes in research was created, and two main research areas were identified: sense of telepresence and research by technology type. In view of this, further research directions based on the identified research gaps were indicated.

Opis:: The purpose of the article is to present Maria Montessori’s pedagogy and her concepts included in contemporary integrated education which uses modern teaching technologies. Methods: The author relies on her own research and takes account of the source literature. She uses the diagnostic survey method. Results: The author analyzes the situation of early school education and the use of new technologies by teachers. Primarly, the report of her research was applied. The data analysis results show that the vast majority of teachers undertook to implement new technologies into education, but unfortunately on a rare basis, and the group that uses these devices in education most frequently and undertakes training is early school and pre-school education teachers. In addition, the author, based on the obtained research results, presented examples of educational solutions that could combine Maria Montessori’s pedagogy and new technologies. Conclusions: The purpose of the article is to present Maria Montessori’s pedagogy and her concepts included in modern integrated education which uses modern teaching technologies. Therefore, efforts were made to diagnose the range of application of modern technologies in integrated education. Determining the involvement of teachers in the organization of the teaching process with the use of new technologies is important because not all teachers have IT education. This issue was mentioned in the quantitative research conducted among teachers in 2021. In addition, the author, based on the obtained research results, presented examples of educational solutions that could combine Maria Montessori’s pedagogy and new technologies. Teachers should update their knowledge on didactic innovations that improve the process of gaining information about the world and follow those aspects which determine the behaviour and needs of students nowadays. I have presented in this article a method to combine educational ideas which are centuries apart.

Opis:: New technologies bring not only many opportunities but also many risks. Some of them we have already got used to, while others still pose a challenge. The latter undoubtedly includes constantly evolving algorithms. Every day we learn about new possibilities for their application. Unfortunately, these possibilities or applications do not always go hand in hand with the existing rights and freedoms and increasingly pose a threat of their infringement. Recently, research results have been published on the recognition of individuals’ voting preferences from their faces by an algorithm. Such a possibility in application carries the risk of violation of constitutional rights, including the right to privacy. In this paper, this problem will be developed. First, the essence of the right to privacy will be examined and then, based on the research on facial recognition biometrics, I will present the scope and consequences of its violation.

Opis:: Internet use can have both positive and negative impacts. Above all, risks are linked to immoderate use among adolescents. The importance of parental control over their children’s internet use is a key element in limiting the risk factors that such use may have. We investigated this perception by administering a self-report questionnaire to 236 Italian teenagers aged 14-17 years, of which 69.9% are female. Descriptive analyses were primarily conducted. Subsequently, to identify any differences in responses provided concerning social variables, Covariance Analyses and Multivariate Covariance Analyses (one in relation to each batch of items), whose factors were "residency area" (small centre - large centre), "socio-economic status" (medium high-medium low), and “gender”, were conducted. The variable "age" was inserted as a covariate. In line with the literature, the findings confirm that parental control plays a decisive role in favouring the responsible use of the Internet. Furthermore, we found that the place of residence influences the length of time spent on the Internet. Nevertheless, we observed that the relationship between parental control and the use/abuse of the Internet does not change depending on the parents’ economic status.

Całość rozważań niesie za sobą próbę nakreślenia kierunku dokonywanych przeobrażeń nowymi technologiami, zarówno w wymiarze globalnym, jak i jednostkowym. Artykuł poświęcony jest problematyce współczesnych społeczeństw, które skupiają uczestników złożonego układu, coraz bardziej ze sobą powiązanych i uzależnionych od nowych technologii.

Opis:: Development and popularization of new communication technologies generate new dimensions of opportunities and threats associated with learning and using technologies as well as with their sociocultural consequences. The article presents four dimensions of social perception of these threats and opportunities: creativity, representative potential, psychological attitude, privacy and control. They were distinguished on the basis of two research projects using qualitative research techniques. Particular attention was dedicated to generational usage of technology. In this way, the paper may be the basis for distinguishing the dimensions of technological competencies.

Opis:: Al-Jazari was a 12th Century Turkish Scientist, Engineer and writer. His full name was Badi Al-Zaman AbulI-Izz Ibn Ismail Ibn Al-Razzaz Al-Jazari. He lived in Diyarbakir region in Turkey (1206 AD). As his town name is Cizre, the modern Turkish scripting of Jizra , his last name is known as Jazari (Uzun, 1997). Badi Al Zaman means “prodigy of the Age” and was applied to other well-known men (Hill, 1974). He served the Artuks a Seljuks dynasty in Diyarbakir, as a chief engineer – as did his father before him. He invented the crankshaft and some of the first mechanical clocks, driven by water and weights- used water power. He authored and drawed 60 inventions in his book "Al-Jami Bain Al-Ilm Wal-Amal Al-Nafi Fi Sinat'at Al-Hiyal" (The Book of Know-ledge of Ingenious Mechanical Devices). Kitab al-Hiyal is an interesting work on automatic control mechanism, fountains, devices, pipes, valves and siphons. The importance and originality of Kitab al-Hiyal is due to its being an earlier example of the automatic control studies in the history. There are a number of manuscripts of Jazari’s work in Oxford, Leiden, Paris, Dublin and Ýstanbul. Equally cranks may have first been documented by Al Jazari – 300 years before western engineers achieved this (Francesco di Giorgio Martini and Leonardo Da Vinci). He used some kind of symbols for understanding of his drawings like using of electronic circuits. We found that his machine drawings and manufacturings quite qualified understanding (http://orionrobots.co.uk/tiki-index.php?page=Al+Jazari). The aim of this study is to review and examine Al Jazari’s drawings and then, to compare and examine with the new technology period.

Opis:: On one hand, Israel is a leader in the field of high-tech industry, but on the other, it remains a country focused on traditions. In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is one of the most common treatments among many possibilities which were created in the field of assisted reproductive technology (ART). Indeed, the number of Jewish women as intensive consumers of IVF has increased in the past few years. Due to the great importance of motherhood and raising families in Jewish tradition, Israel strongly supports health care procedures assisting Jewish adults in becoming parents. There is no doubt that for Jews life is the most precious value in its religious and political meaning, however, they are quite flexible in accommodating modern technologies in order to serve life. The State has historically focused on increasing birthrates and nowadays a woman’s biological clock is an important element not only in the context of matrilineal descent and for the answer to the question of Jews identity but it is also intervening as a part of the reproductive industry.

Opis:: Logistics and forecasting of changes should be permanent elements of logistic activity. This requires the observation of new conditions for logistics as well as its multifaceted analysis, i.e. the perception of mutual relations and impact. New logistics concepts resulting from technological development will be created. One of the new solutions is the concept of Industry 4.0, the implementation of which can generate innovative solutions and long-term effects on the industry, including significantly production logistics.
