Opis:
In this paper, an investigation is made to analyze the effects of radiation on an MHD boundary layer flow and heat transfer over a nonlinear stretching surface with variable wall temperature and non-uniform heat source/sink. A suitable similarity transformation is used to transform the governing nonlinear partial differential equations into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations by using the Nachtsheim Swigert shooting iteration technique together with the fourth order Runge Kutta method. The effects of various physical parameters over a dimensionless velocity and dimensionless temperature are presented graphically. The numerical results for the skin friction co-efficient and non-dimensional rate of heat transfer are presented and discussed for several sets of values of the parameters. Comparisons of numerical results are made with the earlier published results under limiting cases.

Opis:
Thermal stresses of a functionally graded hollow thick cylinder due to non-uniform internal heat generation are studied in this paper. Analytical solutions are obtained with radially varying properties by using the theory of elasticity. Thermal stresses distribution for different values of the powers of the module of elasticity and varying power law index of heat generation are studied. The results have been computed numerically and illustrated graphically.

Opis:
The work deals with the heat analysis of generalized Burgers nanofluid over a stretching sheet. The Rosseland approximation is used to model the non-linear thermal radiation and incorporated non-uniform heat source/sink effect. The governing equations reduced to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations under considering the suitable similarity transformations. The obtained ordinary differential equations equations are solved numerically by Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg order method. The effect of important parameters on velocity, temperature and concentration distributions are analyzed and discussed through the graphs. It reveals that temperature increases with the increase of radiation and heat source/sink parameter.

Opis:
This article explores the phenomenon of natural convection in the rotatory flow of Cu-water nanofluid under the influence of non-uniform heat source. In order to design more effective and efficient cooling systems, this work attempts to increase our understanding of how nanofluids behave in the presence of non-uniform heat sources, convection, and rotatory force. The higher order partial differential equations governing the flow are remodelled into ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations. The remodelled equations were solved using shooting methodology and the Lobatto-III A algorithm. The impacts of various parameters such as the Richardson number (1 < Ri < 4), the Schmidt number (0.5 < Sc < 2), nanoparticle’s volume fraction (0.02 < ϕ < 0.08), etc. on velocity, concentration and temperature was analysed. One of the main findings of this analysis was study of the impact of the space dependent heat source (0.2 ≤ A ≤ 1) and the temperature dependent internal heat source (0 ≤ B ≤ 0.5) on the heat regulation. Furthermore, increasing the quantity of the nano-additives and improving the fluid’s thermophysical properties intensified the acceleration of the fluid elements in the flow region. The presence of spatial and temperature-sensitive parameters facilitated quantification of the effects of a standard and variable heat source in combination of Coriolis force in the case of a Cu-water flow. The findings of the investigation will be helpful in the process of medical, architectural planning systems, oil recovery systems and so on.
