Opis:
The article presents an optimization process of the brake disc in terms of mass and strength resistance. A model of the disc was made using three-dimensional software – Catia V5 (CAD). Model has been subjected to the parameterization process for the strength calculations. A brake disc was fixed at the location of the mounting screws and subjected to torque resulting from the braking process. As a result of calculations, a set of parameters that meet the established boundary conditions was obtained as shown in the article.

Opis:
Zinc coatings obtained by immersion metallization are an effective and economical way to protect against corrosion also for high carbon steels, foundry iron alloys. However, the difficulties encountered in surface preparation due to oxide contamination, as well as the presence of carbon (graphite) from the casting process or cast iron sludge, make cast irons zinc-plated by manufacturers reluctantly. The technological properties of the zinc baths and the technological properties of the coatings obtained vary considerably depending on the various impurity and alloying additives. The effect of zincing time significantly affects the thickness of zinc coatings and is dependent on the mass and thickness of the sample. The submerged object heats up faster or slower, depending on the thickness, and its temperature first reaches and then exceeds the melting point of the zinc. However, to avoid zinc over time, it is appropriate to respond to the current ISO standard EN 1461:2009, which specifies the minimum thickness of zinc coatings on steel substrate. The subject of the study was the optimization of parameters metallization using the Taguchi Method. The analysis took into account the influence of the immersion time and temperature of the bath of molten zinc on the thickness of the zinc coating. The test was conducted for three different times, i.e. 30, 60 and 150 seconds and for three different values of the temperature of the bath: 440, 460, 480 [°C]. In order to predict the thickness of the coating, multiple regression analysis was applied, which showed that the experiment was carried out correctly and falling within the limits of tolerance error.

Opis:
The paper presents mathematical model of complex evaluation of the quality of production with optimizing indicators of crop growing. Multicriterion model is reduced to the problem of optimizing with the predetermined target function which considers almost all parameters of the prodution quality. The model takes into account limits of modifications of quality characteristics of production by introducing the indistinct description of the quality characteristics of productions. The model was developed on the example of evaluating quality of the barley grain.

Opis:
The first part of the article is devoted to the terminology connected with the notions of core curriculum and syllabi. With reference to the subject, a five-level model of working on documents is presented. After, there follows a historical outline on the evolution of documents, from the national school curriculum to the first core curricula of general education, with reference to foreign language teaching at various stages of education, which was prepared based of the analysis of legal documents. The next chapter shows a syllabus from the present-day perspective of education law, and presents its functions. It describes the results of pilot questionnaires on the functions and role of German teaching syllabi in the Polish educational system in the context of previous theoretical considerations. The article concludes with ideas on leading and optimizing the role of contemporary curricula documents

The paper considers the classical problem of time-cost analysis of projects involving the minimization of the cost in the given date of completion. Two models for linear and point representation of costs were formulated. We compared the efficiency (accuracy and computation time) of three methods of solving the problem: general method, a new algorithm for extending the activities W1 and the modified Kaufmann and Desbazeille'a algorithm.

The state of depletion of gas reservoirs generates many challenges for production management teams that focus their efforts to operate the fields in a rational and efficient manner in order to achieve attractive recovery factors. An essential activity in terms of production management is related to the maintenance programs, particularly in the current paper, on those exploitation perimeters extended as a surfaces. This aspect, directly influences the maintenance activity in daily basis on the gas wells such us soaping and flowback programs for liquid unloading, visual inspection of wellhead integrity and pressure measurements. It has been noticed throughout the production history that the wells located on extended exploitation perimeters as surfaces, some of them being placed in isolated areas, have low productivity and do not produce at their potential. The causes identified in this regard are as follows: – The wells are liquid flooded or loaded and are not able to unload using their own energy being in an advanced stage of depletion. – There are not enough representative production data recorded to monitor the real performance and intervene in the right time, in order to improve the well productivity. The relatively large distances between the wells and the technological groups correlated with difficult access to the well location are the main arguments for the implementation of the specialized mobile teams which aims to monitor the wells performance, to ensure a safe exploitation process of the productive infrastructure, to improve the field management activity, respectively to increase the wells productivity.

Opis:
First results concerning important theoretical properties of the dual ISOPE (Integrated System Optimization and Parameter Estimation) algorithm are presented. The algorithm applies to on-line set-point optimization in control structures with uncertainty in process models and disturbance estimates, as well as to difficult nonlinear constrained optimization problems. Properties of the conditioned (dualized) set of problem constraints are investigated, showing its structure and feasibility properties important for applications. Convergence conditions for a simplified version of the algorithm are derived, indicating a practically important threshold value of the right-hand side of the conditioning constraint. Results of simulations are given confirming the theoretical results and illustrating properties of the algorithms.

Opis:
Minimization of data-processing time and reduction of software-development time are important practical problems to be tackled by modern computer science. This paper presents the authors’ proposal of a family of statistical models for the estimation of program execution time, which is an approach focused on both of the above problems at the same time. The family consists of a general model and specific models and has been elaborated based on empirical data collected for pattern-program loops representing some arbitrarily selected features related to the program structure and the specificity of a program-execution environment. The paper presents steps to elaborate the aforementioned family as well as the results of the carried-out experimental research. The paper demonstrates how the elaborated models can be applied in iterative compilation for optimization purposes, allowing us to reduce the time of software development and produce code with minimal execution time.

In the last few years, RSM method has been used widely to analyze, optimize and evaluate the interaction of independent factors for chemical, biochemical, and environmental processes. This study examined and evaluated the applicability of this method to manage Oilfield Produced Water to prevent marine environment due to the presence of hard degradable compounds by ozonation process. In this study simulated oil-water sample and a homogenizer reactor was used. The main reactor used in this study was impeinger equipped with sintered glass filter through which the treated oil-water was entered to reactor in the form of discontinuous flow. After ozonation and at the end of the reaction time (60 min), the concentration of oil hydrocarbons was determined by a gas chromatography device equipped with a flame ionization detector. The performance of the central composite design (CCD) approach was evaluated by the F-Value, P-Value, R2, lack of fit test and Adequate Precision parameters to determine the influence of effective factors, including ozonation time, pH, ozone dose, and TPH concentration on the TPH removal efficiency. The mean TPH efficiency obtained from the design of the 30-step experiment resulting from surface-response method was 49.903%, with a standard deviation of 12.47. This study showed the high power of model adopted from the central composite design to predict the hydrocarbons removal from oilfield water using advanced oxidation process, and it was proved that this model can be used alone to determine the design space nature.
