Opis:: RESEARCH OBJECTIVE:The contemporary labour market places high demands on graduates of higher education who are looking for employment. There is a significant increase in employers’ requirements in the area of professional competence. This paper aims to present selected aspects of education and developing soft skills by students and university graduates on the example of cosmetology subject. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS:The expectations of the labour market to graduates of higher education require a new approach for the development strategies and skills training at universities. Job offers contain, in addition to the requirements of the knowledge, experience, cognitive and linguistic skills - a number of desirable personality traits and interpersonal skills of the applicant, called soft skills. Scientific studies indicate a dynamically growing importance of soft skills, both in the process of recruiting new employees, as well as major determinants of employment stability and continuity of careers. The article presents some aspects of soft skills training and coaching courses organized for students and graduates of higher education on the example of cosmetology subject. The article attempts to organize the terminology associated with this issue and then, based on the specifics of teaching adults, presents own experiences in the area of planning coaching courses. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATIONThis paper attempts to draw attention to the growing significance of university graduates’ background to proffesions requiring high degree of soft skills. Schoolings using activating teaching methoods foster building competences abilities that ensure professional flexibility and adaptability and help functioning in life. RESEARCH RESULTSThe article is the preliminary recognition of the analyzed problem. Author continued research in the area of impact of the activating methods on the development of the soft skills. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:Schoolings described in this paper are planned as optional classes not included in curriculum. It is worth to consider including selected trainings as electives adapted to competence profiles of fields of study.

This thesis is about direct sales. It discribes all kinds of sales techniques and negotiations, that a good salespearson sould have. It contains many aspects of sales pitch. There is also an analis of personal skills that every salesman need to acquire. All of that is based on existing reaserch and publications.

Opis:: The article constitutes the third part of a series of articles pertaining to the basic perspectives of integration in the CLIL educational system. At the beginning, there has been recalled the author’s original concept of the four perspectives of integration in CLIL, ordered according to the student’s perspective, dedicating the present text to the student’s integrated competence perspective. In the subsequent part of the article the author reviews the most important concepts of the student’s competence, namely: the personal communicative competence of Wilczyńska, competences according to CEFR, key competences, the integrating role of the discursive competence according to Celce-Murcia, referring them all to the CLIL educational context. The work is ended with the author’s own model of the student’s integrated competence perspective in CLIL and with the conclusions.
El artículo constituye la tercera parte de la serie de artículos sobre los marcos fundamentales de la integración en el sistema educativo AICLE (CLIL). Para empezar, la autora recuerda su modelo de cuatro marcos de integración en CLIL, ordenados según la perspectiva del alumno, dedicando el presente texto a las competencias personales integradas del alumno. A continuación, se presentan los conceptos más importantes de las competencias del alumno: competencia comunicativa personal de Wilczyńska, competencias según el MCER, competencias clave, el carácter integrativo de la competencia comunicativa según Celce-Murcia, refiriéndolas todas al contexto educativo CLIL. Para terminar, la autora propone un modelo propio de las competencias personales integradas del alumno en CLIL y expone las conclusiones.

Opis:: The conducted research relates to the interest in the personal and professional development of the Prison Service officers. The research was carried out using the diagnostic survey method, applying the Professional Development Orientation Scale (ZPR) by Gaś and the survey respondents were 72 officers of the Prison Service from the Lublin Custody Suite and the Penal Institution in Siedlce. The results indicate that the surveyed officers obtained a slightly higher average result in terms of their attitude towards developing professional competences than their personal characteristics. The personal variables include education and the job position determine the interest in professional development, with the most development-oriented are guards and respondents with secondary education.
Przeprowadzone badania dotyczą zainteresowania rozwojem osobowościowym i profesjonalnym funkcjonariuszy Służby Więziennej. Badania przeprowadzono metodą sondażu diagnostycznego przy pomocy Skali Zorientowania na Rozwój Profesjonalny (ZPR) autorstwa Zbigniewa B. Gasia. Objęto nimi 72 funkcjonariuszy Służby Więziennej z Aresztu Śledczego w Lublinie oraz z Zakładu Karnego w Siedlcach. Wyniki wskazują, że badani funkcjonariusze uzyskali nieznacznie wyższy średni wynik w zakresie nastawienia na rozwijanie kompetencji zawodowych aniżeli w zakresie posiadanych cech osobistych. Wśród zmiennych osobowych to wykształcenie i zajmowane stanowisko pracy determinują zainteresowanie rozwojem profesjonalnym, przy czym najbardziej zorientowani na rozwój są strażnicy oraz badani legitymujący się średnim wykształceniem.

Opis:: The paper addresses the contexts of pedeutology, incidentally revealed in the literature, considering personal development as an important educational element preparing for the role of a teacher. Pedagogy is a praxeological science, linked to continuous development and inspiration search, the acquisition of new theoretical knowledge and methodological skills, supplemented with the development of interpersonal competences and improvement of self-knowledge. Hence, an important element of the academic training of future teachers is personal development classes. It is also necessary to develop a curriculum of courses with the widest possible range of optional workshop classes, which help students build their self-knowledge, recognise and discover their individual areas of self-fulfilment, and develop self-creation competences. The analyses of the narratives of pre-school education students and early childhood pedagogy of the University of Silesia in Katowice show the relevance and efficiency of self-improvement through participation in workshops based on dance and movement, and in other expressive activities, which are indeed an integral part of academic education.

Opis:: Celem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej jest stworzenie kart pracy i wykazanie na nich możliwości zaistnienia korelacji w jednoczesnym rozwoju kompetencji językowych i pozajęzykowych uczących się języka słowackiego jako obcego. Praca zawiera cztery rozdziały. W części teoretycznej pracy przedstawiono specyfikę glottodydaktyki, porównano stan glottodydaktyki słowacystycznej ze stanem glottodydaktyki polonistycznej. Omówiono podejścia glottodydaktyczne, w tym istotne w praktycznej części pracy podejście działaniowe. Zestawiono również konteksty glottodydaktyczne istotne podczas przygotowania i realizacji kart pracy, z których najistotniejsze stanowią edukacja międzykulturowa, dydaktyka literatury, cechy oraz rozwój autonomii uczącego się, neurobiologiczne aspekty procesu uczenia się i technologie informacyjne w nauczaniu. W części praktycznej przedstawiono siedem kart pracy oraz komentarz metodyczny. Materiały, których punktem wyjścia w realizacji zajęć jest tekst prozatorski lub eseistyczny, pokazują możliwość jednoczesnego rozwijania różnych typów kompetencji uczących się języka słowackiego jako obcego lub drugiego.
The main aims of the thesis include creating worksheets and demonstrating the possibility of correlation in the simultaneous development of linguistic and extra-linguistic competences of Slovak as a foreign language learners. The thesis contains four chapters. The theoretical part of the work presents the specificity of glottodidactics, and compares the position of Slovak glottodidactics with the position of Polish glottodidactics. Glottodidactic approaches were discussed, including the action-oriented approach, which is important in the practical part of the work. Glottodidactic contexts important during the preparation and implementation of worksheets are also presented, the most important of which are intercultural education, didactics of literature, features and development of learners' autonomy, neurobiological aspects of the learning process and information technologies in teaching. In the practical part, seven worksheets are presented. The materials, the starting point of which in the implementation of the classes is a prose or essay text, show the possibility of simultaneous development of various types of competences of learners of the Slovak language as a foreign or second language.

Opis:: The authors of the study make references to the problems of developing civic skills in education. The paper presents also considerations on the necessity for the holistic interpretation of ‘civic competencies’ and on its meaning revealed, for example, in the multiplicity/variety of knowledge areas, skills and attitudes. In the final part of the article, following author’s analysis of personal diaries, a thesis on the effectiveness of skilfully run civic education is formulated.
W tekście odniesiono się do problematyki konstruowania kompetencji obywatelskich w procesie edukacyjnym. Ustosunkowano się do konieczności holistycznego rozumienia pojęcia „kompetencje obywatelskie” i ukazano jego zawartość wyrażającą się m.in. w wielości/różnorodności obszarów wiedzy, umiejętności i postaw. W końcowej części artykułu sformułowano tezę o efektywności umiejętnie prowadzonej edukacji obywatelskiej bazującej na analizie dzienników osobistych
Im Text wurde zur Frage der Gestaltung von bürgerlichen Kompetenzen im Bildungsprozess Stellung genommen. Man äußerte sich auch zur Notwendigkeit, den Begriff „bürgerliche Kompetenzen“ holistisch zu verstehen und man zeigte dessen Inhalt, der u.a. in Vielfalt und Verschiedenheit von Wissensgebieten, Fähigkeiten und Haltungen zum Ausdruck kommt. Am Ende des Artikels wurde eine These über die Effektivität einer sachkundig geführten, auf der Analyse der persönlichen Tagebücher basierenden Bürgerbildung formuliert.

Artykuł prezentuje sposób tworzenia i analizę profilu kompetencyjnego na przykładzie stanowiska „wytapiacza stali” oraz możliwość jego wykorzystania do stworzenia narzędzia informatycznego ułatwiającego prowadzenie polityki personalnej ukierunkowanej na kompetencje pracownicze zwłaszcza w kontekście zatrudniania nowych, często niewykwalifikowanych pracowników.
An essential element of managing a modern enterprise is human resources management in which managing the competences of the personnel plays a significant role. Not only does it correspond with the efficiency of the whole company but is also used in recruitment process, employees' appraisal and proves extremely useful in the process of preparing the training plans or determining career paths. As the educational system in the field of foundry sector, is not fully developed and full of gaps the aforementioned concept is at an advantage. The article presents the way of creating and analyzing the competence profile based on an example of a position of a steel melter as well as the possibility of using such profile to create an information tool which will facilitate the human resources policy aimed at the employees' competences especially while hiring new and very often unqualified ones.
