Opis:: The following publication is an attempt to describe observed reality, especially in terms of conditions provided for play. This article is the result of author’s research visit at the City of Berkeley’s Marina Adventure Playground. During the visit the author had the opportunity to attend the unique and dynamic play environment of adventure playground in Berkeley Marina that enables its users to saw, hammer, build forts, play with water and fire. At the same time the it was designed in the way that encourages to play not only children’s but also adults. The presented content includes: the concept of playground in Berkley, its the design of space and play equipment, its policy and role of play leaders. The research methodology included qualitative procedure. Qualitative analysis, ethnographic observation and qualitative research interview has been used.

The essence of fair play in sport.

Opis:: This study aims to illuminate our understating of an idea of fair play in sport. The motivating question was: What a fair play is and is it so important to respect its rules? The first chapter of this study illustrates a definition of fair play. It shows that a vital thing is to follow not only the official rules of one sport discipline but also respected unwritten principals. Next part of study concentrates on the genesis of a „fair play” term and its comparison to the chivalric code. The second chapter proves how important fair play is in sport and names two most important qualities of fair play: evennes and generosity. The last chapter shows the differences between a fair play and a foul play.
Niniejsza praca ma na celu omówienie zagadnienia fair play w dziedzinie sportu. Na początku przedstawiona została ogólnie powszechna zasada fair play. Zwrócono uwagę na konieczność stosowania się nie tylko do pisanych, ale również niepisanych zasad kodeksu sportowego. Następnie zostaje omówiona geneza i historia zagadnienia, przyrównanie zasad fair play do kodeksu rycerskiego. Kolejnym krokiem jest przedstawienie istoty fair play. Zwrócenie uwagi na kluczowe dla tego pojęcia zagadnienia, tj: sprawiedliwość, ofiarność. Na koniec zostaje porównana gra fair play oraz foul play.

The thesis concentrates on the play motif in selected novels of polish writer, Nobel laureate, Władysłąw Stanisław Reymont (1867-1925). The first part of the thesis contains the present state of research about play category in social science. The second part concentrates on the analysis of play motif in selected novels of Reymont.

Opis:: The article is an attempt at analysing Mary’s Tuesday, one of Mikhail Kuzmin’s plays. The structure of this piece on the one hand refers to a puppet play, while on the other hand reveals the links with medieval genres. In this article, it is maintained that Kuzmin used the experiences of creating a medieval mystery play and introduced interludes in the text. As a result, the text became a sui generis mystery play about searching for happiness and complying with the etiquette. Additionally, such a reading is supported by the reference to a puppet play, which makes it possible to argue that each of the personas only plays his or her role and is but a puppet operated by the Supreme Being.

Opis:: The aim of this study is to analyze enjoyment and fair play attitudes against hard play, gamesmanship, victory and cheating as antisocial behaviors in sports as part of a program of intervention among coaches and athletes. The sample includes basketball teams with a total of 389 young athletes (249 boys and 140 girls) aged between 10 and 16 (the average age of 12.5 years) in the juvenile, infant and cadet categories. During the 2016-2017 season, a questionnaire designed according to the guidelines for the Spanish version following the Fair Play Proceedings (EAF) was administered at two different times. The results show that young athletes consider enjoyment as a key motivation in sports practice. The program proved to be moderately effective as antisocial variables such as gamesmanship and cheating, and recorded a slight decrease in popularity between the two rounds of the survey. The results for hard play and victory, however, showed a less significant decrease after the implementation of the program.

Kolejno omawiam cele badania, prezentuję sposób organizacji badań i narzędzia badawcze oraz charakteryzuję respondentów, którzy wzięli udział w badaniach.Rozdział drugi jest poświęcony podstawowym pojęciom i zagadnieniom związanych z marką. Analizuję takie teoretyczne aspekty marki jak: geneza marki, definicje marki i jej znaczenie w marketingu, siła marki, a także omawiam rolę marki w generowaniu przewagi konkurencyjnej przedsiębiorstw.Rozdział trzeci jest charakterystyką działalności gospodarczej operatora sieci komórkowej Play na polskim rynku usług telekomunikacyjnych. W tej części pracy prezentuję historię i dynamikę rozwoju firmy, przedstawiam zakres świadczonych usług, analizuję grupę docelową konsumentów marki Play, jej politykę cenową oraz skuteczność prowadzonych przez nią kampanii reklamowych.Rozdział czwarty to prezentacja wyników badań wizerunku sieci komórkowej Play. W rozdziale przedstawiam jak respondenci odpowiadali na pytania diagnozujące takie aspekty marki Play jak: świadomość marki, typowy użytkownik marki Play, postrzegane korzyści kupowania usług w sieci Play, cechy marki Play, osobowość marki Play, postrzeganie cen i jakości usług w sieci Play, a także lojalność i skłonność do rekomendacji marki Play.
"Play Mobile image in the opinions of Cracow's residents" consists of four chapters. The first chapter presents my research perspective. It introduces the basic problems and hypotheses. In this part of my thesis I discuss the main objectives of the study and its organisation along with in-depth characterisation of respondents.The second chapter offers thorough analysis of the basic concepts associated with brands. In this part of the thesis I identify the origins of brands, cite various brand definitions, analyse the role of brands in generating businesses competitive adventage.The third chapter gives an outlook on Play Mobile market activity. In this part of the paper I present company's timeline, analyse range of Play Mobile services, examine Play Mobile target group, its pricing policy and efficacy of its advertising campaigns.The last chapter is a presentation of the findings of the conducted research. In this part of the thesis I discuss the results of the survey on Play Mobile brand awarness, Play Mobile brand personality, Play Mobile pricing and perceived quality of its services as well as Play Mobile brand loyalty and users' willingness to recommend the brand.

Corruption threatens the idea of FAIR PLAY in sport.

Opis:: Corruption in sport is an enormous issue and a challenge for sport in XXI age. Progressive commercialization and professionalism affect on cheating in sport. Selling games or inaccurate benchmarks which are given to the host cities more and more are touted by the media. In a result of these moves the healthy competition and fans suffer. Most of heads don't know about scams and continue to support their team. That is why it is so important to remember and respect the ideals of fair play that have been the mark since antiquity.The aim of the thesis is to show how corruption in sport affects the distortion of the ideals of fair play. By carrying out the research goal, the author put forward the following research questions: What is the most socially disciplined society, and least likely to be corrupt? Is the current system of penalties included in the Act on Sports and the Penal Code adequate to the scale of the offense? Which person according to society is most exposed to corruption in sport? What methods can reduce the occurrence of corruption in sport? Does society have knowledge of "fair play" behavior? What sport values are most important to society?The research tool was the author's questionnaire survey. Analysis of the questionnaire survey revealed that football is among the most vulnerable to corruption. Society demands tightening of penalties for corruption and suggests increased education among children, youth and sports associations.
Korupcja w sporcie jest ogromnym zagrożeniem i wyzwaniem dla sportu w XXI wieku. Postępująca komercjalizacja i profesjonalizacja wpływają na lawinowy przyrost oszustw w sporcie. Sprzedawanie meczów czy niejasne kryteria przyznawanie miast-gospodarzy największych imprez sportowych coraz częściej trafiają za pośrednictwem mediów do społeczeństwa. W wyniku takich działań cierpi zdrowa konkurencja i kibice, którzy są często nieświadomi, że są oszukiwani. Dlatego tak ważnym aspektem staje się przypominanie i respektowanie ideałów fair play, które od starożytności są wyznacznikami uczciwej gry. Celem pracy magisterskiej jest przedstawienie jak korupcja w sporcie wpływa na wypaczanie ideałów fair play. Realizując cel badawczy autor postawił następujące pytania badawcze: Jaka dyscyplina według społeczeństwa jest najbardziej, a jaka najmniej podatna na występowanie korupcji? Czy obecny system kar ujęty w Ustawie o sporcie i Kodeksie Karnym jest adekwatny do skali popełnionego czynu? Jaka osoba według społeczeństwa jest najbardziej narażona na korupcję w sporcie? Jakie metody mogą ograniczyć występowanie zjawiska korupcji w sporcie? Czy społeczeństwo posiada wiedzę na temat zachowań „fair play”? Jakie wartości sportu są najważniejsze według społeczeństwa?Narzędziem badawczym był autorski kwestionariusz ankiety. Analiza kwestionariusza ankiety wykazała, że piłka nożna jest spośród wszystkich dyscyplin najbardziej narażona na zjawisko korupcji. Społeczeństwo domaga się zaostrzenia kar za przestępstwo korupcyjne oraz sugeruje zwiększoną edukację wśród dzieci, młodzieży oraz w związkach sportowych.

Opis:: The objective of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of a program of intervention among coaches and athletes;to evaluate attitudes in favor of fun and fair play in sports and, on the other hand, hard play, gamesmanship, theneed for victory and cheating as attitudes that go against prosocial behaviors. The sample includes football teamswith a total of 636 young athletes (615 boys and 21 girls) with an average age of 12.50 years and an age rangebetween 10-16 years in the juvenile, infant and cadet categories during the season 2016-2017. An adapted versionof the Spanish Questionnaire for Fair Play Proceedings (EAF) was administered at two different times. Theresults show that young athletes value sport positively as fun at two moments of the season. The program wasshown to be effective, although not significantly, in terms of a decrease in the values of gamesmanship, cheatingand victory between the first moment and later moments in the program. Hard play, on the other hand, did notpresent an improvement in the program.

Opis:: The content of this article are considerations relating to the slogan of play-based-learning. In the first part of the text, referring to the classical definition by Johan Huizinga, the characteristics of play and its functions are presented (Hurlock, Brzezinska), the definition of learning by Teresa Bauman is quoted, and the activity of learning understood as a creative process is discussed (Stasiakiewicz). The second part of the text analyzes two theoretical positions (Moyles, Edwards) and relates their fragments to examples from educational practice. In the conclusion, the author returns to the initial thesis of the article stating that play, learning and work are three different areas of human activity and it is good to preserve their separateness for the benefit of each of them.
