Opis:
The invariant properties of the stability, reachability, observability and transfer matrices of positive linear electrical circuits with integer and fractional orders are investigated. It is shown that the stability, reachability, observability and transfer matrix of positive linear systems are invariant under their integer and fractional orders.

Opis:
Continuous-time positive systems, switching among p subsystems whose matrices differ by a rank one matrix, are introduced, and a complete characterization of the existence of a common linear copositive Lyapunov function for all the subsystems is provided. Also, for this class of systems it is proved that a well-known necessary condition for asymptotic stability, namely the fact that All convex combinations of the system matrices are Hurwitz, becomes equivalent to the generally weaker condition that the systems matrices are Hurwitz. In the special case of two-dimensional systems, this allows for drawing a complete characterization of asymptotic stability. Finally, the case when there are only two subsystems, possibly with commuting matrices, is investigated.

Opis:
Positive linear continuous-time systems are analyzed via conformable fractional calculus. A solution to a fractional linear system is derived. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the positivity of linear systems are established. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the asymptotic stability of positive linear systems are also given. The solutions of positive fractional linear systems based on the Caputo and conformable definitions are compared.

Opis:
The positivity and asymptotic stability of the descriptor time-varying discrete-time linear systems are addressed. The Weierstrass-Kronecker theorem on the decomposition of the regular pencil is extended to the time-varying discrete-time descriptor linear systems. Using the extension necessary and sufficient conditions for the positivity of the systems are established. Sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability of the positive systems are presented. The effectiveness of the tests is demonstrated on the example.

Opis:
Responses of positive standard and fractional continuous-time and discrete-time linear systems with derivatives of their inputs are presented herein. It is shown that the formulae for state vectors and outputs are also valid for their derivatives if the inputs and outputs and their derivatives of suitable order are zero for t = 0. Similar results are also shown for positive standard and fractional discrete-time linear systems.

The positive asymptotically stable continuous-time linear systems are approximated by positive asymptotically stable discretetime linear systems by the use of Pade type approximation. It is shown that the approximation preserves the positivity and asymptotic stability of the systems. The stabilization problem of positive unstable continuous-time and corresponding discrete-time linear systems by state-feedbacks is also addressed.
Dodatnie układy stabilne ciągłe są aproksymowane za pomocą liniowej aproksymacji Pade dodatnimi, stabilnymi układami dyskretnymi. Wykazano, że aproksymacja ta zachowuje dodatniość i stabilność asymptotyczną. Rozważania ogólne zostały zilustrowane przykładem numerycznym.

Opis:
The paper is devoted to the problem of robust stability of positive continuous-time linear systems with delays with structured perturbations of state matrices. Simple necessary and sufficient conditions for robust stability in the general case and in the case of systems with a linear uncertainty structure in two sub-cases: (i) a unity rank uncertainty structure and (ii) nonnegative perturbation matrices are established. The problems are illustrated with numerical examples.

Opis:
Definitions and necessary and sufficient conditions of the pointwise completeness, pointwise degeneracy and stability of standard and positive continuous-time and discrete-time linear systems are given. A problem of influence of the discretization of standard and positive continuous-time linear systems on the pointwise completeness, pointwise degeneracy and stability of standard and positive discrete-time linear systems is analyzed. The derivative is approximated using forward rectangular rule. Considerations are illustrated by numerical examples.
Standardowy układ dynamiczny, niepoddany wymuszeniu, jest nazywany punktowo zupełnym, jeżeli każdy zadany stan końcowy można osiągnąć poprzez odpowiedni wybór stanu początkowego. Standardowy układ dynamiczny jest punktowo degenerowany w kierunku v, jeżeli istnieje stan końcowy, który jest nieosiągalny dla każdego warunku początkowego. W pracy podano definicje oraz warunki konieczne i wystarczające punktowej zupełności, punktowej degeneracji oraz stabilności standardowych i dodatnich liniowych układów ciągłych i dyskretnych. Dokonano analizy wpływu dyskretyzacji standardowego i dodatniego liniowego układu ciągłego na punktową zupełność, punktową degenerację i stabilność standardowego i dodatniego liniowego układu dyskretnego. Pochodna jest aproksymowana przy wykorzystaniu metody prostokątnej w przód. Rozważania zobrazowano przykładami numerycznymi. Praca ma następującą strukturę. W rozdziałach 2-5 podano definicje punktowej zupełności, punktowej degeneracji i stabilności liniowego układu ciągłego oraz liniowego układu dyskretnego. W rozdziałach 6 i 7 dokonano analizy wpływu dyskretyzacji standardowego i dodatniego liniowego układu ciągłego na punktową zupełność, punktową degenerację i stabilność standardowego i dodatniego liniowego układu dyskretnego. Rozdział 8 zawiera przykłady numeryczne, natomiast uwagom końcowym poświęcony jest rozdział 9.

Opis:
A new class of fractional linear continuous-time linear systems described by the state equation is introduced. The solution to the state equations is derived using the Laplace transform. Necessary and sufficient conditions are established for the internal and external positivity of the fractional systems. Sufficient conditions are given for the reachability of the fractional positive systems.
