Opis:: The article presents the principle of operation, design method, and results of laboratory and simulation tests of a 24-pulse power network converter system with direct-voltage output, the concept and practical realisation of which was worked out within the framework of a research project financed by the State Committee for Scientific Research. The presented converter allows significant reduction of undesirable higher harmonics in the power network current, including the elimination of harmonics of an order 23 and 25. The 24-pulse nature of operation of the system is obtained using three sets of coupled three-phase power network reactors (CTR).

Opis:: The paper presents a computer software that uses a database of the MS Access format and is meant to facilitate management of protection setting calculations for bays in a MV network system. The database collects and saves information about the network topology, parameters of its component elements and about the applied protection devices together with their settings. Interface of the application supports the process of the network topology development and the selection of protection devices and their settings. It also makes possible to check efficiency of the protection equipment operation by checking their sensitivity, operation range, redundancy as well as coordination of the operation times.

Opis:: In the paper, the results of analysis of the load curves for the household - type consumers fed from the LV electric power network are presented. In the study, the influence of the sunset time and ambient temperature on the electric load curves has been assessed and, consequently, the specific features of the graphs for the allocated consumer groups have been defined. Also, suitable models considering the impact of the observed factors on the electrical energy consumption have been developed. Energy consumption in the tariff zones by the consumers settled according to G12 tariff has been of special interest.

Opis:: W artykule opisano skonstruowany przez autora obwód wejściowy urządzenia służącego do analizy widmowej napięcia elektrycznego w paśmie od 35 Hz do 10 kHz. Przedstawiono etap projektowania obwodów oraz badania właściwości układu. Szczególnie skupiono się na wyznaczeniu charakterystyki amplitudowo-częstotliwościowej członu filtrującego, estymując jego transmitancję przy użyciu widmowych gęstości mocy sygnałów i napięć. Metoda ta umożliwia bardzo dobrą analizę właściwości układu bez konieczności stosowania wyspecjalizowanej aparatury laboratoryjnej. Do estymacji transmitancji użyto wygenerowanego przebiegu prostokątnego o częstotliwości 50 Hz oraz oscyloskopu cyfrowego i komputera. Na podstawie transmitancji wyznaczono charakterystykę członu filtrującego w badanym paśmie częstotliwości.
Abstract - The paper describes the input circuit constructed by the author of for an formed device for the spectral analysis of the voltage in frequency band from 35 Hz to 10 kHz.

Opis:: A HV/MV transformer supplies a few power lines of known parameters and loads. These power lines can be substituted with the supply radius, at the end of which there is the equivalent load-receiver representing the entire load being transmitted by the transformer. The R and X parameters of this substitute supply radius are needed to calculate adjusting parameters of the voltage regulator which controls the HV/MV transformer. The presented method enables simple determining of the supply radius parameters R and X.

Opis:: In this work, we present a peculiar application contained in a Decision Support System for Risk Analysis of (inter)dependent Critical Infrastructures under development within the EU FP7 CIPRNet Project. The application shows the efficacy and the benefits derived from a complete information of the multiple (inter)connected infrastructures (electrical and telecommunication) present in a Crisis Scenario. Electrical Distribution operators use SCADA systems to perform remote operations (tele-control) on the electrical grid such to ensure a constant and efficient energy supply to the consumers. Tele-control operations bi-directionally couple telecommunication and electrical networks: faults in one network produce effects, which then reverberate on the other. The work shows how the DSS, based on the damage estimate occurring on the two systems, may predict the correct tele-control operations needed for the restoring of the electrical grid based on topological properties of the electrical substations and the Telecom nodes.

Opis:: The article describes the laboratory and simulation tests of 12- and 24- pulse power grid converter systems with DC voltage output that work together with shunt active power filter (APF). It presents both the operations' principles and the results of these tests. The systems under discussion make it possible to reduce the number of unwanted higher harmonics in the power network current. Moreover, they can also help eliminate the 23- and 25-order harmonics especially in the conditions of local power network supply. In order to obtain the multipulsed system's operation, a set of coupled three-phase power network reactors (CTR) has been used.
Artykuł zawiera wyniki badań symulacyjnych i testów laboratoryjnych 12- i 24- pulsowego przekształtnika sieciowego z wyjściowym obwodem napięcia stałego, pracującego z równoległym filtrem aktywnym. Omówione rozwiązanie pozwala znacząco zredukować występowanie niepożądanych harmonicznych prądu sieci, tym całkowicie wyeliminować harmoniczne rzędu 23 i 25. Wielopulsowa praca układu została osiągnięta poprzez zastosowanie zespołu trójfazowych dławików sprzężonych.

Opis:: W oparciu o wyniki pomiarów prowadzonych w wiejskich stacjach transformatorowych 15/0,4 kV i na końcach linii niskiego napięcia zasilających odbiorców wiejskich z terenów Małopolski przeprowadzono analizę wahań napięcia pod kątem zgodności z obowiązującymi przepisami. Stwierdzono, że chociaż wartość napięcia zasilającego nie przekracza wartości dopuszczalnej, to warunki zasilania odbiorców wiejskich ze względu na wahania napięcia nie zawsze są prawidłowe. Odnosi się to w szczególności do odbiorców przyłączonych w pobliżu końców linii zasilających. Z przeprowadzonych badań wynika, że przeciętny odbiorca wiejski może się spodziewać w ciągu dnia ok. 8 wahań napięcia o amplitudzie przekraczającej 5% wartości napięcia znamionowego sieci, przy średnim czasie ich trwania 1,3 s.
Results of measurements carried out at rural transformer stations 15/0.4 kV and at ends of low-voltage lines supplying rural consumers in Małopolska Province have been used to analyse voltage fluctuations from point of view of compliance with applicable regulations. It has been observed that although supply voltage value does not exceed admissible value, power supply conditions for rural consumers are not always correct due to voltage fluctuations. In particular, this applies to consumers connected to the network near ends of supply lines. Completed research proves that every day average rural consumer may expect approximately 8 voltage fluctuations with amplitude exceeding 5% of network rated voltage value, at their average duration 1.3 s.

Opis:: To ensure safety in underground mining, it is imperative to equip yourself with electric leakage protection. Today, underground mines are gaining a high degree of mechanization and using more power electronics to enhance the operation and organization of power supplies, including the application of power electronics for DC power transmission in mining. i.e., separate the rectifier (AC-DC) from the inverter (DC-AC) with a long DC cable. The transmission of DC power changes the structure of the mine power network; then there will appear a power network with an industrial frequency of 50 Hz, a DC power network, and a power network after the variable frequency inverter. Due to the mutual interaction between DC power networks and AC power networks, leakage protection devices are unreliable, causing unsafe conditions in mining. The content of the article is to determine the leakage current in the power network when using converters in DC power transmission in mining. The research results are the basis for calculating and selecting leakage protection equipment for the purpose of improving safety in underground mining in Vietnam.
