Opis:: Downward tendency in potato production in the years 1980-1998 was a result of the declining of area of agricultural land and fluctuation in the crop production issued from the variation of the yields. The main reasons for reducing of a potato sown area include a decrease in the competitiveness of potatoes as a fodder, changes in the collectivized agriculture sector and the reduction in demand for potatoes from the processing industry.
Celem niniejszego opracowania było określenie i analiza trendów zachodzących w produkcji ziemniaków w Polsce oraz porównanie tych zmian ze zmianami zachodzącymi w wybranych krajach UE. Zakres czasowy analizy obejmował lata 1989-1998.

Opis:: The multi-step process of design enterprises design plays a prominent role production structure. The designer is forced to perform time-consuming and laborious, while simple calculations. Opis:: Product customization and dynamically changing customer requirements cause multiple versions of the same product to be created with minute modifications, e.g.: different colour, material used, accessories, etc. Adapting to changing tendencies determines the manufacturer`s competitiveness. This article presents the analysis of the flexibility of a complex convergent production structure. The analysis has been conducted using the EPE (Every Part Every…) indicator. To maintain the accuracy of the system`s evaluation, the flexibility determining algorithm has been adjusted to the analyzed cell structure. A flexibility indicator EPE shows the lowest possible frequency at which the rotating production of a batch is repeated. In practice, it informs us after what time we may manufacture the same lot of goods again, taking into account the time necessary for delivering accepted orders. The conclusions from the conducted analyses helped to develop strategic development plans which assumed increasing the volume of the manufactured assortment both in number and variety.

Opis:: W projektowaniu struktur systemów produkcyjnych przyjmuje się jako generalne kryterium tworzenie jednostek specjalizowanych przedmiotowo. W odniesieniu do istniejących struktur produkcyjnych ogólne badanie na podział, a więc zbadanie możliwości pogłębienia specjalizacji przedmiotowej, jest krokiem o tyle ważnym i przydatnym, że wstępnie informuje o możliwości podziału na mniejsze jednostki produkcyjne (również specjalizowane przedmiotowo). Dla systemów nowopowstających bada się możliwość podzielenia całego zbioru detali (przewidywanego do produkcji) i stanowisk roboczych na jednostki specjalizowane przedmiotowo. Ocenę możliwości podziału istniejącej jednostki produkcyjnej I stopnia na mniejsze, wyspecjalizowane przedmiotowo, lub możliwości tworzenia od podstaw nowych jednostek, można uzyskać na podstawie tzw. wskaźników podatności na podział.
The creation of units with product specialization is assumed to be a general criterion in the design of production systems’ structure. In relation to the existing production structures, the general research of division, i.e. research on the possibility to deepen product specialization, is especially essential and useful as it preliminarily informs about the possibility of division into smaller production units (also with product specialization). For new systems, the possibility of dividing the whole set of items (predicted for production) and workplaces into product specialization units is being examined. Assessing the possibility of dividing existing grade I production units into smaller product specialized ones or a possibility to create new units from the beginning, may be achieved on the basis of the so called division susceptibility index.

Opis:: Scalability is a key feature of reconfigurable manufacturing systems (RMS). It enables fast and cost-effective adaptation of their structure to sudden changes in product demand. In principle, it allows to adjust a system's production capacity to match the existing orders. However, scalability can also act as a "safety buffer" to ensure a required minimum level of productivity, even when there is a decline in the reliability of the machines that are part of the machine tool subsystem of a manufacturing system. In this article, we analysed selected functional structures of an RMS under design to see whether they could be expanded should the reliability of machine tools decrease making it impossible to achieve a defined level of productivity. We also investigated the impact of the expansion of the system on its reliability. To identify bottlenecks in the manufacturing process, we ran computer simulations in which the course of the manufacturing process was modelled and simulated for 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-stage RMS structures using Tecnomatix Plant Simulation software.

Opis:: The paper is of theoretical and empirical character. Its main objective is to verify two hypotheses that are fundamental to the Austrian business cycle theory. One claims that a restrictive monetary policy causes a shortening of the production structure. The other states that increases in interest rates lead to relative differences in the decline of the output in manufacturing industries that produce goods at different distances from the consumer. The analysis presented in the paper was based on selected indicators and allowed to positively verify both hypotheses. Interest rate increases effected by the National Bank of Poland led to the formation of downward phases of the cycle. During the examined period we observed a decrease in the production time of final goods as well as relative differences in the declines in the output of the manufacturing industries which varied in their distance to the final recipients.
Opracowanie ma charakter teoretyczno-empiryczny. Jego głównym celem jest weryfikacja dwóch zasadniczych dla austriackiej teorii cyklu koniunkturalnego hipotez. Pierwsza hipoteza mówi, że restrykcyjna polityka pieniężna powoduje skracanie struktury produkcji, druga ,– że podwyżki stóp prowadzą do względnych różnic w spadku produkcji branż wytwarzających dobra w różnych odległościach od konsumenta. Przeprowadzona w opracowaniu analiza, oparta na przyjętych wskaźnikach, pozwala pozytywnie zweryfikować obie hipotezy. Podwyżki stóp procentowych dokonane przez Narodowy Bank Polski prowadziły do powstawania spadkowych faz cyklu. W tym okresie w polskiej gospodarce zmniejszał się czas produkcji dóbr finalnych oraz występowały względne różnice w spadkach produkcji w branżach oddalonych w różnym stopniu od ostatecznego odbiorcy.

Opis:: Dokonano analizy, w ujęciu regionalnym oraz średnio dla Polski, liczby i wielkości, struktury użytkowania gruntów, struktury zasiewów i obsady zwierząt w gospodarstwach ekologicznych w 2006 r. Gospodarstwo ekologiczne jest przeciętnie 3-krotnie większe od średniego w kraju i charakteryzuje się mniejszym udziałem gruntów ornych, a większym udziałem trwałych użytków zielonych (2-krotnie) i sadów (5-krotnie). Struktura produkcji oraz struktura zasiewów mniejszych gospodarstw jest lepiej dostosowana do zasad ekologicznego gospodarowania. Wiąże się to między innymi z większym areałem uprawy roślin okopowych i warzyw oraz relatywnie dużą obsadą zwierząt. Natomiast w większych gospodarstwach, pomimo dużego udziału użytków zielonych, bardzo mała jest obsada zwierząt. Większość gospodarstw ekologicznych jest zlokalizowana gminach o gorszych warunkach do produkcji rolniczej oraz większym udziałem obszarów chronionych.
The studies analyzed - in regional aspects and on an average for the whole country - the number and size of ecological farms in 2006, as well as their structure of land usage, cropping structure and the livestock density. The acreage of ecological farms is on average 3-times larger than the mean farm acreage in Poland, being also characterized by lower share of arable land, at higher share of permanent grassland and orchards (twice and five times as much, respectively). The structure of production and cropping structure of smaller farms are better fitted to the rules of ecological farming. Among the others, it is connected with larger acreage of the root plants and vegetables and relatively high livestock density. However, in larger farms, apart from large share of permanent grassland acreage, the livestock density is rather low. The ecological farms, in majority, are localized in the communes with worse conditions for agricultural production and stronger participation of protected areas.
