Opis:: The main approaches to the future psychologists’ (special, clinical) professional competence are considered. The components that make up a special environment in the conditions of the system of students’ training have a new professionally significant quality that actualizes the need for a comprehensive study of professional competence phenomenon are determined. An analysis of the psychological and pedagogical literature led to the conclusion that professional competence is a set of knowledge, skills and abilities that determine the outcome of work, a combination of theoretical and practical students’ training, as well as knowledge with professional and personal qualities that formed creative potential, initiative, cooperation, ability to work in a group, communication skills, ability to learn, evaluate, think logically, select and build activities.

Opis:: The motivational component in the psychologist’s (special, clinical) professional training is analyzed. An analysis of the psychological and pedagogical literature led to the conclusion that the motive of self-determination, as a driving force of behavior, is determined not only from within but also under the influence of social conditions and requirements of society and specific life circumstances. The existence of various factors that can change individually and can affect motivation is outlined, so motivation can be considered as an aspect of psychologist’s (special, clinical) professional competence, which shows a set of internal and external influences that causes and indicates the boundaries and forms of activity that complements and directs to achievements.

Opis:: Aim. The number of kindergartens is swelling in China, and that of private kindergartens in particular. The quality of teaching in the latter is positively linked to the levels of teachers’ professional competence. Thus, to enhance the teaching quality in private kindergartens, strengthening teacher’s professional competence is one of the vital approaches. Teacher’s professional competence can be enhanced via effective CPD activities. Therefore, this study aims to explore the types and content of CPD activities for Chinese private kindergarten teachers. Methods. A qualitative approach was adopted in this research. 18 kindergarten teachers were selected as participants from three private kindergartens in Shenzhen. Data was collected by semi-structured interview from 18 teachers. Results and conclusion. The findings showed that the school-based CPD activities are valued by most private kindergarten teachers. Furthermore, this study found that CPD activities can help private kindergarten teachers to be more inclusive and positive in teaching. They enabled teachers to acquire knowledge and skills that are relevant to child care and development, teaching, as well as cooperation with colleagues and children’s parents. Practical application. The research findings presented herein have significant implications for the knowledge base of private kindergarten teachers’ CPD in China. It also has implications for the practice that is relevant to private kindergarten teachers, principals and policy makers.

Współcześnie kompetencje zawodowe rozumie się nie tylko jako profesjonalną wiedzę i umiejętności wymagane do pracy w danym zawodzie, czy na konkretnym stanowisku pracy, ale także jako dyspozycje jednostki umożliwiające jej efektywne radzenie sobie w różnych sytuacjach zawodowych i życiowych W artykule zwrócono uwagę na rolę kompetencji kluczowych, czyli dyspozycji o charakterze ponad zawodowym, charakteryzujących się dużym stopniem uniwersalności, wykorzystywanych w różnych sytuacjach życiowych. Rolę tych kompetencji przedstawiono na przykładzie grupy zawodowej, jaką są specjaliści z obszaru ergonomii i bhp.

It also related to the quality of their work. Today, occupational competence is understood not only as the knowledge and skills required to work in a specific occupation or at a specific workstation, but also as individuals' ability to cope in a variety of occupational and personal situations. This article discusses the role of core competencies, or abilities with a high degree of universality, which can be used in different situations. The role of those competencies is discussed using experts in ergonomics and occupational safety and health as an example.
