Opis:: This article is the second and the last part of a series dedicated to the characteristics of a description of Christ’s seven words uttered on the cross as accounted in Old Polish biblical and apocryphal narrations. In part one, I focus on the origin of the words, the characteristics of Old Polish texts containing them. I highlight the most important differences in the narration of the specific fragments of Old Polish Passions of Jesus. Part two is entirely dedicated to the language of the fragments of Old Polish texts on Christ’s seven words uttered on the cross (ŻPJK, SCh and RD). First, I present the enumeration schemes in each apocrypha. They are strictly related to the tradition of religious instruction and teaching and are an attempt at sorting out the material. The article presents also the various ways in which Christ’s specific words are called. The regular word-forming structure of the modifiers affects the rhythmic form of the specific fragments of texts. Finally, I show how quotations from Christ were introduced into each apocrypha: how the utterances’ modal frame was shaped and what verbs of speech were used. It turns out that in each historic text, Christ’s words were treated differently: in the SCh, they were described most extensively and in the RD – least extensively but it is the RD where the enumerations are most precise with respect to the syntax, perhaps because the specific parts are at the smallest distance from each other. Christ’s seven words on the cross are least structured in the ŻPJK.

Opis:: Dopo una breve introduzione nei problem litterali della “Regola della Communità”, l’autore passa all’analisi dettagliata delle citazioni scritturistiche formali, inseriti nel testo della Regola (Es 23, 7; Is 2, 22 e Is 40, 3). Alla fine si tratta della forma stessa di questa introduzione, molto simile alla formulazione nuovotestamentaria “secondo Scritture”. L’analisi qui presentata può facilitare una compresione migliore dell’argomentazione fondata sulla Scrittura Sacra, così nella Regola di Qumran, come anche nel NT.

Opis:: The aim of the article is to assess the role of ESG assumptions in dealing with complex crises that are both economic and financial in nature. The research problem is excessive fluctuations in the quotations of the WIG-ESG index, which includes listed companies characterized by adherence to the principles of socially responsible business. An attempt will be made to verify the research hypothesis, which assumes a positive impact of selected stock market indicators on the stabilization of quotations of the analyzed index. The research method will be the estimation of an econometric model built from dependent variable Y describing changes in the quotations of the WIG-ESG index and six independent variables describing selected stock market indicators exerting a greater or lesser influence on the changes in the quotations included in the monthly time interval in the research period January 2014–November 2023. It is concluded that the relationship between stock market capitalization and the value of equity estimated at the end of the last quarter is the basis for stabilizing the quotations of the index.

Opis:: In 27 of his concertos Tartini used 39 poetical mottos taken mostly from opera or cantata librettos. Up to now there have been discovered text concordances for 20 mottos, but not all of them can be established with one-hundred percent certainty. This article adds 16 new concordances, discusses probable functions of the mottos and the nature of the sources from which the composer drew them, as well as the varying degrees of certainty regarding these convergences. The author formulate a hypothesis, that the source of Tartini’s literary quotations could be some anthology of arias from operas and cantatas in his possession. Apart from poetic quotations the article compares also the musical layer of some parts of Tartini’s concertos which carry incipits of arias by various authors with the originals, finding examples of subtle similarities. The author postulate to undertake in the future a detailed and wide-ranging research into musical quotations in Tartini’s concertos.

Opis:: The article is part of a wider study on Latvian cemetery epitaphs which is being carried out by Rita Treija at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art, University of Latvia. The source of the study is a wide material of the Latvian tombstone inscriptions covering the time period from the 19th to the 21st century. The bulk of materials obtained comes from the Archives of Latvian Folklore as well as the author’s private collection. The author seeks to analyse the multilayered nature of the memorial inscriptions on gravestones both from a philologist’s and folklorist’s perspective, focusing mainly on the use of biblical quotations and allusions in the epitaph textual tradition. The textual analysis of Latvian cemetery epitaphs shows that the Bible is an important source of reference used both directly and indirectly in the composition of the memorial texts for the deceased. There are four levels that can be distinguished according to the distance from the original source: (1) direct biblical quotations (with or without references to particular verses of the Scripture); (2) liturgical prayers (excerpted from the ordinary procedure of the public worship, as well as from special funeral and memorial rituals); (3) church songs (quoted from the Roman Catholic or Evangelical Lutheran hymnals); (4) usage of biblical characters and motives in other texts (such as individual prayers, religious poetry, etc.). The presence of biblical quotations and allusions in the epitaphs provides a certain repertoire of gravestone texts. However, besides the manifestations of the religious identity, the material of the Latvian memorial inscriptions shows that there are other approaches in creating epitaph texts, such as quoting Latvian folksongs, mourning lyrics, popular songs, etc. The results of the analysis can be applied in comparative epitaph studies as a Latvian example. The issues discussed in the article may be useful in cultural and folk religion studies, too.

Opis:: The Generalized Lambda Distribution (GλD) is a four-parameter generalization of Tukey’s Lambda family. Several methods for estimating the parameters of the GλD have been reported in the literature, but the most popular is the moment-method matching proposed by Ramberg and Schmeiser (1974). One criticism of the GλD referred to above is that the shape parameters also determine skewness. It seems reasonable that there should be three linear parameters determining position, scale, and skewness and two parameters determining the shapes of the two tails. This suggests a natural generalization of the GλD to give a five-parameter lambda distribution (FPLD). The aim of paper is to show that the GλD and the FPLD describe empirical distribution quite well.
Uogólniony rozkład lambda (GλD) jest czteroparametrowym uogólnieniem rodziny rozkładów lambda-Tukeya. W literaturze możemy odnaleźć wiele metod estymacji parametrów GλD, jednak najbardziej popularną metodą jest metoda momentów zaproponowana przez Ramberga i Schmeisera (1974). Wskazuje się, że jedną z wad uogólnionego rozkładu lambda jest to, że parametry kształtu określają również skośność rozkładu. Wydaje się, że powinny być trzy parametry określające położenie, skalę i skośność oraz dwa parametry określające kształt ogonów rozkładu. Z tego względu dokonano uogólnienia GλD poprzez wprowadzenie pięcioparametrowego rozkładu lambda (FPLD).
