Opis:
The influence of the cyclic loading on the functional properties of NiTi was studied. Cylindrical specimens with a diameter of 4 mm and a gage length of 12.5 mm were tested under uniaxial cyclic loading with control crosshead displacement at a temperature of 0°С. The dependences of the stress and strain range as well as dissipation energy on the number of loading cycles at different initial stress range were analysed. During the first 10 loading cycles, a rapid decrease in the strain range and energy dissipation was observed. Dissipation energy was invariant to the loading cycles’ number at N > 20 cycles and to the stress range that did not exceed the martensite finish stress level, was within the same scatter band and can be described by the single dependence. With the stress range growth at N < 20 cycles from 509 to 740 MPa, the value of dissipation energy increases and that of relative dissipation energy decreases. Loss coefficient, which characterises material damping ability, significantly decreases during the first 10 loading cycles and remains practically unchanged up to the failure of the specimens. At the stabilisation area, the loss coefficient is almost non-sensitive towards the stress range.

Analizę przeprowadzono przy zastosowaniu zaproponowanego eliptycznego modelu areału będącego uogólniającą modyfikacją przyjętego dotąd modelu kolistego (Calhoun & Casby, 1958).

PNDS (Pilot Navigation and Docking System) [1] utilizes the range measurement between laser head and ship’s side to determine the ship’s outline presented on the screen. The noisy measurements and dynamic process noise affect the accuracy of determined parameters and propagate to ship’s heading and position. To improve the performance of PNDS system there was a need to apply the data filtering technique. In the paper the theoretical basis and algorithm of discrete Kalman filter designed for range optimal estimation in PNDS were described. The real data collected during berthing operation of motor vessel Navigator XXI were filtered and compared to row unfiltered data. The conclusions contain evaluation of filter capabilities and its potential application in PNDS system.

On singular pencils with commuting coefficients

We investigate the relation between the spectrum of matrix (or operator) polynomials and the Taylor spectrum of its coefficients. We prove that the matrix polynomial with commuting coefficients is singular, i.e. its spectrum is the whole complex plane, if and only if (0,0,…,0) belongs to the Taylor spectrum of its coefficients. On the other hand, we prove that this equivalence is no longer true if we consider the operators on infinite dimensional Hilbert space as coefficients of polynomial. As a consequence, we could propose a new description of the (Taylor) spectrum of k-tuple of matrices and we could disprove the conjecture previously proposed in the literature. Additionally, we pointed out the Kronecker forms of the pencils with commuting coefficients.

W artykule zostały przedstawione moduły radiowe przeznaczone do urządzeń bliskiego zasięgu, które z powodzeniem można wykorzystać do transmisji danych z obiektów ruchomych do stacji naziemnych, lub pomiędzy obiektami ruchomymi. Porównano moduły pracujące w paśmie 868 MHz oraz 2,4 GHz. Zostały wykonane badania dotyczące osiągalnego zasięgu oraz przeprowadzono analizę widmową sygnału transmitowanego przez moduły. Przedstawione zostały podstawowe różnice pomiędzy modułami. Uzyskano wyniki dające duże szanse na praktyczne wykorzystanie modułów zwłaszcza w paśmie 868 MHz.
This paper presents radio modules for short range devices. They can be successfully used for transmission of telemetry data between unmanned vehicles and a ground station or between vehicles. A comparison of two modules, XBee Pro 868 (operating frequency 868 MHz) and XBee 802.15.4 (operating frequency 2.4 GHz) is made. They are designed for high-throughput applications requiring low latency and predictable communication timing. XBee modules are ideal for low-power, low-cost applications. XBee-PRO modules are power-amplified versions of XBee modules for extended-range applications. All modems are all pin compatible and weigh around 2 grams without antennas. The modules were tested for the maximum achievable range and the spectral analysis of the signal transmitted by the modules was performed. The study was realized with use of omnidirectional antennas. The spectral analysis showed that the modules were compatible with the law in Poland and Europe. The maximum range for the module operating at 2.4 GHz is 750 meters, while the modules operating in 868 MHz frequency range reach 3100 meters. The measured delays in communication timing are small and amount up to approximately 50-60 ms for both bands. The results show chances for practical use of modules for communication with unmanned vehicles, especially in band 868 MHz.

The article discusses the institution which was introduced in the Act of 20 February 2015 (Dz. U. poz. 396) in Art. 37a C.C. It has been examined the views according to which Art. 37a C.C. is: 1) modifier of statutory penalty range; 2) directive of judicial penalty, also known as „exchange” of the penalty; 3) exchangeable sanction which is the directive of statutory penalty range; 4) extraordinary punishment not being an extraordinary mitigation of penalty; 5) a kind of extraordinary mitigation of penalty. Based on the method of critical analysis of the views on the legal nature of art. 37a C.C., which can be found in the literature, it has been found that the norm included in art. 37a C.C. is modifier of statutory penalty range – it means a modification of the statutory penalty range that determines the range of standardizing the sanctioning norm, decoded based on the sanction resulting from the regulation establishing an offence, and it introduces alternative statutory range.

A study was carried out to compare the annual ring width, latewood share and density of spruce wood from the north eastern a nd south w estern ranges of Norway spruce. Twelve trial plots were located in the north eastern range, while within the south w estern range eight trial plots were established in the Sudeten Mountains and twelve trial plots in the Carpathian Mountains. On ev ery trial plot fifteen spruce trees were chosen, from which increment cores were sampled using a Pressler borer. Next, the increment cores had their surfaces smoothed and measurements were made of the width of annual rings, latewood zones and the share of latewood. Then the cores were divided into 2 cm sections, for which the relative wood density was determined. The analyses indicate that annual rings were wider in trees growing within the north eastern range than in those from the south western range an d the Kruskal Wallis test showed the differences to be statistically significant. T he latewood share followed an opposite pattern: t he wood from the Mazury region had a higher proportion of latewood than the wood from the mountainous areas and the statist ical test again indicated that the differences were significant. The analys i s of wood density showed slight differences between the density of wood from the north eastern and south western ranges, but in this case the Kruskal Wallis test showed the differe nces to be statistically insignificant.
