Opis:
A recent simulation study proved that the efficiency of supply chains is highly volatile because of a number of different factors. Therefore, we elaborated a model to evaluate supply chain efficiency. In our contribution, we will show the results of a case study and present considerations for real-time efficiency monitoring.

Opis:
Since the concept of Smart Field emerged, the operating companies work hard to enable such capabilities through various technology developments, both in the field and the office. Smart Fields help to manage, deliver, optimize and develop short and long term decisions and plans. The technology of “Smart Fields” is based on the measurement of process parameters in the reservoir and on the surface [4]. Implementing Smart Gas Field help us to maximize the value of production and increase profitability, while reducing operating costs and the use of industrial services. The integrated and automated data from sensors, simulated models and controllers provide reliable diagnostic tests, enable measurable improvements and implement a favorable environment to plan and schedule phases of production [5]. The main challenge for Romgaz was to combine and integrate older system into newer one. The problem was the installed old technology equipment, which was difficult to replace by the new one. During the last years in the most majors fields has begun a process of rehabilitation. To extend the mature gas reservoir life we redeveloped and optimized the fields, improving productivity and reservoir performance. To aim these goals, today, we need monitoring / surveillance programs for optimizing the production . It is important to measure the parameters of process conditions as accurately as possible.

Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems have revolutionized the treatment and monitoring of diabetes. These devices are recommended for diabetic patients treated with insulin, especially with recurring episodes of hypoglycemia or large circadian variation of glucose levels. CGM allows more effective adjustment of insulin doses to blood glucose trends, resulting in better metabolic control: more time spend in glucose target range, lower time spend in hypoglycemic range, lower glucose variability and improved quality of life of patients and their family members. Real time CGM provides patients not only with continuous information on glucose levels but also alerts for hypo- or hyperglycemic events. Traditional transcutaneous CGM have some limitations, which can be resolved by the system with an implantable sensor. The Eversense CGM is the only long-term implantable rtCGM. The subcutaneous implantation procedure has proved to be simple and uncomplicated. This CGM system can be recommended in particular for patients who, due to their profession and sports discipline, cannot or do not want to use traditional transcutaneous sensors. Further groups are patients with skin complications associated with the use of traditional sensors, people who perceive frequent sensor replacement as a burden or would benefit from on-body vibration alerts. The studies showed that the patients were satisfied with Eversense, and the majority used it several times after the study ended. The main reason for resigning from the next implantation was cost of the device.

Opis:
This research aims to develop and utilize an impedance-based tool for monitoring non-stationary electrochemical processes, coupling the multisinusoidal perturbation signal approach and distribution of relaxation times (DRT) analysis for the first time. The approach was used to distinguish independent processes occurring at the surface of AZ31 and WE43 Mg alloys undergoing corrosion in Hank’s Balanced Salt Solution at 37 °C. We highlighted two common processes related to corrosion product layer formation. Detailed DEIS-DRT analysis was capable of real-time identification of a unique third process for the WE43 alloy, resulting from a spatially localized filiform corrosion attack in the vicinity of intermetallic particles. The proposed tool proved to be highly efficient in terms of studying non-stationary processes, while the DRT analysis allowed for an in-depth and precise localization of the number and the kinetics of the ongoing processes. The corrosion mechanism description was supported by numerous microscopic and spectroscopic tools.

Budowa i optymalizacja układu bez-znacznikowego optycznego biosensora powinowactwa
Construction and optimization of the free-label optical affinity biosensor
Autorzy:
Kania, Jakub
Opis:
The subject of the thesis is label-free detection method, in which biomolecules are unlabeled and unmodified. Studied molecules are detected in their natural form. In order to achieve this restriction, the optical sensor is used. In particular, white light reflectance spectroscopy on silicon surfaces is used.Firstly, surfaces are modified by silanes. In the next step, these surfaces are functionalized by biomolecules. Such prepared surface is placed in a liquid cell, where measuring system will be monitoring immuno reaction. The FR-Monitor provides the ability to monitor the response from surface in real-time and calculate the layer thickness. The optimiziation of the method consists of selecing properties to perform real-time measurements. Three diferent silanes were used: NHS, GOPS and APTES. This measurement method makes it possible to repeatedly use a given surface in consecutive measurements.
Wykorzystywano trzy różne silany: NHS, GOPS i APTES. Ta metoda pomiaru sprawia że można wykorzystywać wielokrotnie daną powierzchnię w pomiarach.

Opis:
In this paper, some issues of building a reliable, distributed measurement system for monitoring of water quality in reservoir Lake Dobczyckie are presented. The system is based on a measurement station that has the shape of a floating buoy which is supposed to be at anchor on the reservoir. Wireless data transmission problems that were encountered during the development of the buoy, modeling a radio link, and measurements of actual signal strength on the reservoir are discussed. A mathematical approach to procedures of early situation assessment was conducted, and specialized procedures were designed for measurement stations of the system. It is also discussed how such computations can improve a qualitative assessment of system performance in terms of real-time messaging.

Opis:
The scarcity of groundwater monitoring in Kosovo, particularly in Lipjan, underscores the urgency to assess and safeguard this vital resource amidst escalating water demands and mounting pollution. This study addresses the critical gap in groundwater data by proposing the establishment of a comprehensive monitoring system. The primary goal was to develop a system capable of providing real-time data on groundwater quality and quantity within the capture area. Specific research objectives include the daily real-time monitoring of groundwater quality, identif ication, and quantification of contaminants in the aquifer, as a basis for further work on delineation of contaminant sources impacting the capture area, and monitoring and quantifying water extraction rates from individual wells, therefore establishing the necessary protection zones. Seven divers have been installed in 7 monitoring wells in Lipjan to measure the water level and pressure, as well as a multiparameter sensor for water quality monitoring for pH, temperature, specific conductivity, total dissolved solids, and dissolved oxygen. The digital monitoring system has been set up to input and log the incoming data. The aim was to gather this data, analyze it and use it to create a model and calibrate it to match the observed data. Concurrently, a sensitivity analysis was performed to prioritize data collection and establish which parameters have the most significant impact on the model outcomes. This ensures the establishment of a model which will, in the future, be used to predict and forecast groundwater levels and quality and determine protection zones.
