The article outlines the circumstances in which the idea of a new kilogram was born through an internationally established Planck physical constant value. In an accessible way there is explained how the new implementation of the kilogram will look like, as well as the how to planned changes in the field of world metrology is preparing the Central Office of Measures.

Opis:: Redefinicje podstawowych jednostek miar stają się koniecznością dziejową w metrologii. Definicje jednostek ewoluowały od odwoływania się do artefaktu, poprzez zjawiska fizyczne ku wartościom stałych fizycznych. To uwolni je od potrzeby dalszych zmian w sposobie ich definiowania oraz umożliwi nadanie im jednolitej formy zapisu.
Redefinitions of the base units of measurement become a historical necessity in metrology. Definitions evolved from referring to the artifact, through physical phenomena to the values of physical constants. Thus, the need for further changes of units definitions will no longer be necessary, and the units reach a unified form of wording.

Opis:: The path to changing the concept of marriage led through a change in the understanding of the family. The EU Charter of Fundamental Rights was intended to cover cases in which national legislation recognizes other possibilities of family formation than marriage. Thus, the entry in the Charter has been shaped in such a way as to avoid a clear response to the new issue of same-sex relationships; that is, it neither permits nor prohibits because of trends based on social movements. This does not affect the institution of marriage itself, but allows the recognition of other forms of family found in the internal regulations of the states as corresponding to marriage.

Opis:: Andrzej Kuśniewicz (1904-1993) was an acknowledged writer whose works used to be popular and widely read, but after 1989 a number of them fell into oblivion. Both aesthetic and cognitive values have been retained – by and large – thanks to the novels which referred to the Habsburg myth in European literature, which was defined by the eminent Italian German specialist Claudio Magris. However, the Polish writer explored other ranges of his interests as well, for example the ones concerning his personal experience acquired after his stay in France (Witraż 1980). The writer dealt with subjects connected with events which took place in West Germany in the 1960s. They were reflected in his previous novel Trzecie królestwo, published in 1975. In spite of the writer’s complicated fate in the Polish People’s Republic, the work presents a huge breakthrough which happened a quarter of a century after the end of the Second World War in the politics of the FRG and in West German society in a very attractive literary form. At that time our western neighbors had to fundamentally redefine the conservative perception of their own history. In fact, to a large extent the situation had been initiated by the generation of people born in 1968 that took up the reins and started to rule the country. The author of the article attempts to present the struggle – embedded by Kuśniewicz – of the generation of perpetrators who faced difficult questions asked by their children and sometimes even grandchildren. To conclude, although the description provided by the Polish prose writer is not free from some simplifications characterized by extreme subjectivity, we must admit that the book is a valuable piece of evidence depicting a significant period in the history of Central Europe.

Butler reflected on the performativity of gender, she introduced us to a new way of understanding the sex and gender identity, allowing us to see the bias that weighs on our perceptions as a result of the regulatory norms that prevail at a social level. Following this line, and basing our study on the case of Tahiana Marrone, a former Malvinas War veteran, this work will seek to reflect on the construction of sociocultural roles through the necessary assignment of them to a specific gender, emphasizing on the hegemonic concept of “Malvinas War Veteran”.
Cuando J. Butler reflexionaba sobre la performatividad del género, nos introdujo en una forma novedosa de comprender la subjetividad sexo genérica, permitiéndonos ver el sesgo que pesa sobre nuestras percepciones a raíz de las normas reguladoras que imperan a nivel social. Siguiendo esta línea, y a partir del estudio de caso de Tahiana Marrone, una excombatiente de la Guerra de Malvinas, este trabajo buscará reflexionar sobre la construcción de los roles socioculturales mediante la asignación necesaria de los mismos a un género, haciendo hincapié específicamente en el concepto hegemónico de “veterano de Guerra de Malvinas”.

The paper aims to identify the scope and propose a systematisation of the contemporary redefinition of regional development factors, influenced by global conditions. The research process comprised three stages: (1) a brief review of the theoretical foundations and changes in the understanding of regional development factors; (2) presentation of the findings relating to the directions and impact of contemporary socio-economic megatrends on changes of regional development factors, and (3) the main body of the analysis, which identifies and describes the nature of changes in the perception of regional development factors as a consequence of contemporary global conditions.
