Opis:
Due to the rapid development of the information communication industries, it is expected that next-generation mobile communication devices in the data communication environment will be used at the same time in the L~X band (1–12 GHz). To mutual electric wave interference prevention, research on wave absorbers in L~X band is needed. In this paper, barium ferrite was researched as L~X band wave absorber. The Barium ferrite (BaM, Ba ferrite) substituted by divalent ions (Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Zn2+) and tetravalent ion (Ti4+). The substituted Ba ferrite nanoparticles were fabricated by sol-gel process. Lattice parameter, particle size, magnetic properties, and reflection loss were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (X-RD), a Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM), and a Network Analyzer. Lattice parameter of Ba ferrite was changed 0.0005 to 0.0078 Å in a-b direction, and 0.0187 to0.0445 Å in c-direction by substituted elements, and it influenced on magnetic anisotropy. In addition, Co-Ti substitution elements influenced that coercive force decrease 5,739 to 2,240 Oe. Moreover, reflection loss frequencies were shifted from 16.3 GHz to 14.4 and 17.4 GHz by substituted elements Co-Ti and Zn-Ti.

A coated composite was prepared on polyester-cotton plain weave fabric, using PU2540 polyurethane as the matrix. The influences of the content of nickel powders on the dielectric constant (the real and imaginary parts and loss tangent value), reflection loss and shielding effectiveness of single-layer coated composites were mainly investigated. The results showed that within the frequency range of 1–1000 MHz, the value of the real part of the dielectric constant of the coated composites was the largest, and the polarisation ability with regard to electromagnetic waves was the strongest when the content of nickel powders was 40%. Within the frequency range of 15–225 MHz, the value of the imaginary part of the dielectric constant of the coated composites was the largest and the loss ability with regard to electromagnetic waves was the strongest when the content of nickel powders was 40%. Within the frequency range of 250–800 MHz, the loss tangent value of the dielectric constant of coated composites was the largest, and the attenuation ability with regard to electromagnetic waves was the strongest when the content of nickel powders was 40%. Within the frequency range of 1220–3000 MHz, the reflection loss value was the smallest when the content of nickel powders was 40%, and its absorption ability with regard to electromagnetic waves was the strongest. Within the frequency range of 760–3000 MHz, the shielding effectiveness of the coated composite was the largest when the content of nickel powders was 40%.

The novels titled Never Let Me Go and The Remains of the Day develop the same themes – loss and regret. The protagonists of those novels experience loss because of various reasons, such as the death of someone who they love, or a decision which they had made and later came to regret. Despite their different reactions, they have one feature in common: they concentrate on their memories, and want to relive them in the process of self-reflection. Kath, Ruth and Tommy accept their destiny and try to live their life as well as they can. They live their life to the full and do their best to make the most out of their life. They know that there is nothing they can do to prevent their fate. The three friends are not afraid of talking about donations and their death. Once the clones learn about their purpose of existence, they make the approaches to fix the mistakes they have made to accomplish their goals. Despite obstacles, Kath and Tommy finally find love and become a couple. Stevens, on the other hand, seems to be aware of Miss Kenton’s feelings but pride and dignity does not allow him to show his emotions. Stevens’s efforts are focused on excusing himself and explaining why he acted in this way in the relationship with Miss Kenton. The butler tries to convince himself that there is no better life he might have had than the life at Darlington Hall. Nevertheless, there are moments in his narrative which show that at times he regrets his actions and would like to change the past, if it were possible. Eventually, both Stevens and Kathy come to the realization that they cannot reclaim the past, and so they must go on and concentrate on their present.
Niniejsza praca licencjacka dotyczy analizy motywów żalu i utraty poruszanych w powieściach Never Let Me Go oraz The Remains of the Day, których autorem jest Kazuo Ishiguro. Motywy te, wynikają ze śmierci bohaterów oraz żalu za popełnione błędy czy też podjęte decyzje. Każdy z bohaterów tych powieści przeżywa utratę najbliższych osób w różny sposób, jednakże główną cechą ich łączącą jest fakt, iż każdy z nich poddaje się autorefleksji i narracją wraca do przeszłości, aby przeżyć swoje życie na nowo.Praca rozpoczyna się wstępem zawierającym krótką biografię autora oraz cele tejże pracy. Została ona podzielona na dwa rozdziały, w których znajduje się opracowanie danego dzieła oraz jego analiza pod kątem wcześniej wymienionych motywów. W pracy przytoczone zostały kluczowe fragmenty obydwu powieści, które poddane analizie, przedstawiają zastosowanie tych motywów. Części analityczne książek poruszają kwestie związane z źródłem żalu oraz utraty. Ponadto, analizie zostało poddane oddziaływanie tych motywów na dalsze życie bohaterów, a także sposoby w jakie radzili sobie z akceptacją prawdy i ich przeznaczenia. W dalszych częściach znajduje się zakończenie, w którym omawiane są wnioski całości pracy oraz porównanie bohaterów obydwu książek, bibliografia oraz streszczenie pracy w języku polskim jak i niemieckim.

Opis:
The propagation characteristics in air core Bragg fiber has been analyzed in this paper by using the two different approaches. Initially, we have computed the exact solution of Helmholtz equation and later the asymptotic limits have been used to calculate the propagation characteristics of TE modes in air core Bragg fiber. In last, we have compared the both results after mathematical computation and find excellent agreement between both approaches.
